Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
bobobrazil1984 replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
Aah yes, WWE's WEllness Policy...... the steroid test where you can actually take steroids, take more than people who failed MLB steroid tests.... and still pass because the tolerances are so high -
raise your hand if you're shocked that an NBA ref may have been fixing games... yeah, me neither.

Someday..HD will become the norm and the SD channels will go away..but it wont be in the next 20 years. And by that time there will be ULTRA HD too.. at that point there will probably be holograms that don't need a screen at all, at perfect quality. At least for those with good vision.

I'm going to be getting a small tv (probalby 20-ish inches), and wondering if at that size its worth going HDTV or not? I'm interested in LCD TVs because they won't take up much space in my small-ish room. Even better if i could hook my laptop up and use the monitor in addition to it being a TV.

of course... Passing the WWE's test DOESN'T MEAN YOU ARE CLEAN, as evidenced by their own numbers in their policy..... so what are they blathering about? -

And that right there is why the WWE steroid testing is a complete joke. -
this movie was great I thought, and while not as well-made a film as Azkaban, this was better than Goblet. Goblet was more faithful but something felt hackish and ordinary about the directing. I thought this had some mild artistry to the directing. The 1st half was especially strong, in creating the totalitarian propoganda-ish atmosphere. I thought the 2nd half was a bit weaker, with Umbridge's comeuppance and the final battle feeling clumsy. I felt the actual screenwriting here was stronger than the previous films.

you want to know what's funny about that... I believe it was the Grizzlies' pick which got detroit Darko to begin with. They basically got their pick back, but without having to struggle through the embarressment of his first 4 years, listless uninterested play and lack of playing time, and no nagging questions about wade/melo/bosh. They basically got the guy they wanted all along.

I like how Matt Hardy skillfully avoids the fact that you can CAN TAKE STEROIDS AND STILL PASS THE WWE STEROID TEST because the tolerance levels are I believe THREE times HIGHER IF NOT MORE than other sports. You can fail the MLB steroid test and still pass WWE's with room to spare. -
how long as the batteries estimated to last? I know my iPod mini is 2 to 2.5 years old, and while the charge length of the battery has dimmed some over time, it's still running fine. if there's some easy hack or workaround to use ipod, video, and wi-fi internet without activating, i'd look into getting one for cheap from somewhere. but otherwise, no contract business for me. Alas, its such a cool device too. i've heard you can get a plan then cancel within 48 years (to avodi getting charged the activation fee) but it seems like too much trouble for the rewards.

um did he thank himself for posting this? lmao

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released

Here's one change they could make... Make "testing negative" actually mean "no steroids" instead of their ridiculously high steroid tolerance, which is much higher than others who test for roids. I mentioned this earlier, but you can actually fail MLB's steroid test and pass WWE's Wellness Policy. -
so Pixar's doing the big screen adaptation? Awesome!

Not only that, but the Wellness Policy's standards for getting "flagged" are MUCH MUCH higher than other sports. You can actually fail the MLB steroid test and "pass" the Wellness Policy with a "negative". In other words, you can use steroids and still pass WWE's test. It only catches you if you really go off the deep end. WWE of course doesn't mention this when they talk about Benoit "testing negative in April" in their articles the message is clear with the lopsided standards: "We don't mind if you do steroids, just don't go overboard and kill yourself and cause damage to the company". -
i fiddled with it at the Apple store. It was pretty cool. Particularly the internet and using multi-touch to navigate, scroll, and zoom in/out. the touch-keyboard was better than a normal cell phone's 3-letters-per-key system, but not as good as a larger blackberry's full keyboard. I can't wait for multi-touch to get incorporated with more devices - it's really cool, and the first time i've ever actually believed it could one day replace the mouse. there's something cool about dragging your finger to move a screen left right and drag objects, very Minority Report.

Mr. McMahon "dead" - Now for the "whodunit" angle.

Linda doing it would have actually made sense in a warped WWE sort of way. But of course they'd ruin even that with Vince faking it himself. -
Apple progams on Windows aren't generally known to be too good. I know I find iTunes clunky and generally shitty. I use a program called anapod explorer to interact with my ipod.

this is gonna sound very self-centered (probably because it is)... but i'm going to london in a few days. Any news of new travel restrictions???

PC World did some tests on it, dropping it, cutting it, shaking it with keys, etc etc, the display survived fine. http://www.engadget.com/2007/06/30/iphone-...it-do/#comments Anyways, does anyone here have one? i'm interested in real world reviews of this thing.

i agree with the sentiment that Boston was already young enough. I think Ray Allen is a decent pickup. I think the real problem they have to worry about is Doc Rivers. A good veteren scorer will do that team good. A good coach could probably do nice things with Allen + Pierce + Jefferson - inside, middle, and out. All you really need is some decent defenders at the other positions. Doc... not so sure.

there's a report from "league sources" that Yi is going to try to force a trade. To be fair, it's probably more "Yi's handlers", chinese interests type people, etc, rather than Yi himself. from SI:
-
i wonder what "confidential" secrets are these. Is there some secretive notion that is Dirk afraid of angry black hotheaded men named stephen jackson?
-
i hope milwaukee doesn't budge, and Yi is forced to act like a bitch in public to try and get out or he has to play. I hate when people who haven't played a second of nba ball try to pull that bullshit. Be happy you're in the NBA, and if you want a trade, ask for it after playing a little bit for the team that drafted you. Or do it in private so the team can get decent value back. at least earn some real NBA clout first, goddamn. the nba draft system is in place - if you let people who aren't drafted dictate that specifically, well half of your teams will never get anybody good then. Imagine if Oden insisted he didn't want to play Portland or Seattle, and only worked out for the Bulls. While chicago fans would love that, it'd be pure unadulterated bullshit, i dont care if you say "who would you rather play for? Chicago or Seattle?". The system's there, follow it or get the hell out. Though knowing the pussy nature of most GMs, they'll probably end up trading him.

Hmm. I thought for sure the Clips were going to go with Critterion. He's a possibility for Detroit to finally solve the "backup chauncey" problem.

maybe they're planning on making a move for a big man. that's the only thing i can think of.
