It's also not feasible to have a judgement system (ie. rapists and child molesters can be raped, people in there for weed shouldn't, etc etc), so you either overhaul things to give prisoners (*all* prisoners) some protections, or you continue to ignore it.

Is 2K7 a big improvement on 2K6 as far as gameplay goes, or is it kinda the same? I have 2k6, and enjoy it, dunno if I want to go get 2k7 just for updated rosters.

Yay. One of my favorite movies.

It was a pretty good episode, but i wanted more of the other cast members. The cast seems to have gotten rather large and unwieldy. Also I find the Others to be very boring villians. Interesting background on Juliet's flashbacks. Seeing Ethan alive was a mark-out moment, apparently Mittlework is somehow behind The Others going to the island.

a lot of people project their own views or the views of "everybody i know" onto hillary. There's a lot of people that dislike her, but there's also a lot that like her or don't look at her in any "extreme hate" way. She also still polls extremely well with women, and also polls well in the "is she qualified?" category, despite how many supposedly hate her. A lot of people underestimate her popularity outside of the political circle. she is a "political celebrity" and all political celebrities who aren't looked at as unqualified wannabes (and despite what ppl here think, she isn't look upon that way), have a chance to win assuming they don't go off the deep end or get caught up in some extreme scandal (which is always possible).

I saw it (one of the things about netflix, its easier to justify getting movies i'd be too embarressed to grab at the video store like this). It wasn't a bad flick, considering it is a chick flick, but Meryl Streep was *tremendous*. If anyone really wants to see how great an actor Streep is, there's a scene which we find out she's just been divorced/dumped by her hubby, and just by the way she's slumping, the look of her eyes, mannerisms, in 5 seconds, did a complete 180 on the character. Also, her take on the "evil bitch" isn't as outright as others I've seen, there's a lot of subtlety there, like she's more bored and disappointed with her victim than being mean. Without Merryl though this flick woulda been a formulaic waste of time, the fact that she is so good in a "typical cheeseball comedy" i think is what impressed voters.

saw the Richard Donner cut of Superman II today. In general it was very strong, the material treated more seriously. Margot Kidder is way WAY better looking in some of the Donner scenes, particularly the one at the office to open the film proper, and the "screen test" footage where she shoots Clark/Superman. Marlon Brando scenes were also really good, and the whole thing with his powers returning actually makes a little bit of sense (for those unaware, basically the spirit/remnant of Jor-El from the crystal uses all "his" last energy to restore Superman's powers, but the trade-off is that Superman can never talk to spirit Jor-El again - he's gone forever). However, the whole thing almost falls apart in the last 10 minutes because they apparnetly didn't have the right footage shot? The world spinning thing was just retarded, even moreso than in part 1, and even more retarded is that the whole movie never happened, and triply retarded, AFTER the whole movie gets reset, Clark still goes to beat up the trucker in the diner. Err. There's a bit of a logic gap there. I think General Zod suffers a little bit, he's not quite as charismatic here as in the lester cut. Ursa seems to have more of a personality. I give it a B but they shoulda made an executive decision about the ending or something, or maybe even ended it with Lois knowing. All I know is the end of this cut was just retarded.

That would be hilarious, though might serve better as a single player GTA/Bully type sandbox game. I feel like mmo's are kind of required to have really large landscapes, how big can you make Em City and the rest of the jail? I suppose there are creative ways to make them bigger. The quest/task method of both mmo's and GTA type games would be very easy to implement with all the factions. Go steal some cigs, go shank this guy, go blackmail the warden, beat up the guards, etc etc. I'd so choose Adebisi.

I liked MGS2's plot and it had some cool ideas, but the actual writing, dialogue and pacing, of the whole final sequences, were just bad. Endless exposition codec conversations that stretched out 3 times longer than they should have if the writing were better. Reminded me of The Matrix Reloaded.

You know what would make an interesting MMORPG? Oz. As in the Wizard of Oz. Why not, they have done star wars, matrix, lord of the rings (soon), as well as lotr-esque fantasy realm variations.
