i think the action movie elements need some sort of gimmick to be a real Die Hard movie. Trapped in a building, an airport, the trick-scavenger-hunt thing around the city. the other thing is needs is John McClaine's white undershirt/tanktop that gets dirtier and bloodier as the movie goes on.

^ It's not part of the "major fight", its in the aisleway, sort of as the Pacers are shifting/moving towards the tunnel to leave, Jamaal Tinsley grabs a dustpan and is holding it up looking around. (I'm surprised he didn't injure himself picking it up)

funniest part is that apparently the whole time, Marbury was just sitting there with a towel over his head.

I just saw the video, that was hilarious. Carmelo throws a sucker punch, then starts running away while Collins chases him ACROSS THE COURT! That cant be good for his image. Nate Robinson was in total "stephen jackson" mode, while the intiial altercation was being seperated, he's hopping around like a "gangsta", acting stupid.

YOU) that has made huge news, some of which actually disseminate news, youtube, myspace, blogs, facebook, etc. It says this right in the blurb. there, happy? retards.

essentially its their way of saying "Explosion of Youtube, Blogs, and Myspace" are the persons of the year. All of those are user-generated content. Hence the YOU. A little silly, but it also makes a certain kind of sense since those things, in particular Youtube and Myspace are huge newsmakers in the year. I suppose they could have had the CEOs of those particular companies be the People of the year, but whatever.

What's the general opinion on Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island for SNES? I just started playing it on an emulator (with a dual shock - the ps2/pc adaptor works perfect). At first I wasn't all that hot on it (since i'd been playing super mario world the previous day), but as its gone on, I've really warmed up to it. The egg shooting and the Luigi-mario2-hang-in-air jump both work perfectly.

Saw this tonight. It was actually really good. Less "pretentious" than I expected for some reason, actually. It's mostly an action-thriller movie, A well-made chase movie. Lots of gore (but not as much as it was hyped up to have, it's really not worse than your average "Saw" film), the entire 3rd act is, in a way, very Predator-ish. Jungle chases, jungle hunts, badass killing, that sort of thing. I liked it. The movie isn't even about the Mayans except in some vague under-current way. It's really this one dude escaping and fighting his way back to his wife and kid.

looks like Colbert was right, reality does have a liberal bias. I frankly think its pretty despicable the way reality is politicizing the Iraq War and our brave soldier sacrifices to suit its anti-Bush rhetoric.

so they're making a Firefly/Serenity MMO game. That could be really cool, but it could also blow if they try to make it too much like other MMO games. Even though I wasn't the biggest fan of the "Western" aspects in the TV show, I think they should play that up a bit when you're on planets, because it's something different. Come to think of it, why aren't there any real wide open Western games? think GTA/Bully type play, but in the old west, battlin' injuns, shootouts at the OK Corral, poker, think basically a Deadwood game.

Anyone here ever used one of those little USB adapters to play PC stuff with a PS2 controller? Do they tend to work well? I picked one up for a couple of bucks on ebay, i'm hoping to play some emulators, maybe a PC game or two that were too pain in the ass to play with keyboards.

I think, about two seasons ago, when Steve Francis was in Orlando, I saw him do the bounce-the-ball dunk on a breakaway in a game against the Pistons. If you watch the clip, as soon as he makes the dunk, Sheed and like two others immediatly do the "travelling" motion with their arms, but the refs never called it then. So at least there's some precedent for Nate possibly thinking it wasn't travelling or wasn't gonna be called.
