that Bonderman-Jeter showdown was outstanding. 23year old kid against veteran Jeter, basically putting the game away

Well the only 360 game I'd buy outright if I suddenly got a system is probably Elder Scrolls: Oblivion -
that was a mildly (very mildly) scary stretch. dont let em back into it.
-
looks like sitting out for such a long time made Bonderman a bit cold. the no-hitter streak gets broken, but rest of the team keeping anybody from going past 1st.

You know when i finally saw Citizen kane, I did know (from general pop culture) that Rosebud was a sled, and I still thought the movie was great. Why? Because the rest of the movie is good, and not just dependent on that last twist or mystery to be good.

7-0! wow it would take an epic collapse to f this up. Go tigers!

Now that i've composed some thoughts. Col. Tigh was such a badass. even though some of his methods are iffy, the turn fits his character really well, he had that same sort of dismissive harsh mentality in the season 2 opening arc when he started f-ing up his command. Him as the one-eyed grizzled war veteran really works. Jamie Bamber's fatsuit was hilarious, as was Adama calling him a "fat ass" Iraq is pretty clearly a partial inspiration, but i've read that the French resistence against the Nazis is just as much an inspiration, right down to the "comfort women" that the preist cylon got. The whole "collaborator" angle should be really interesting when (if?) the Cylons ever leave. I mean its not like some of them (Gaeta for instance) had much of a choice, though they could have died instead of collaborating.

Awesome. There's still a lot of game to go, i expect yanks to narrow it but this is looking like the Lakers-Pistons 04 all over again

GODDAMN this was off the fuckin chain. The writers on this show have balls of steel, BALLS OF STEEL GODDAMMIT!

wow. I remember I used to intern for Fox Sports detroit back in 03, I was actually sitting there taping the last game where they just avoided the worst record ever. Its just so awesome to see em kicking some ass, even if they dont win the series.

you musta been out "drunk buying". Always a dangerous thing. incidently, I just finished shadow of the colossus a week or two ago. Really amazing game, though I think it started to drag a bit at the last few Colossi, like they ran out of new colossi ideas and started repeating Colossus attacks/powers. In that sense, the length was pretty good, they managed to end it at the right time. wont get into the story since it was just weird at the end, but amazing graphics and atmosphere. Each colossus is just crazy, like a level in of itself. i thought the controls initially were clumsy but as the game went on they felt realistic. The guy wasn't super athletic, he was like a normal guy, and the method for grabbing kinda worked, because you would get tired of holding the button right at the time the "tired" meter would start to run out. Just hanging on to one of these suckers while it flies up above the clouds, and you see the ground you were just runing on whizz by, its pretty incredible. This is the best Lord of the Rings game never made. Its ridiculous they never made a game like this after the movies came out, imagine fighting one of those flying ringwraiths or a giant troll the way you fight the colossus in this game. -
if i was going to get a PS3, i'd consider the 'tard package'. But i'm stranger than most gamers, I really resent the PC-ification of game consoles, so the smaller hard drive is not something that bothers me, if I end up with no HD space, that will just assure that i only play "buy and play" gaes with no HD nonsense. of course who knows if i'll ever get a ps3 depending on how the price drops go, so there ya go.

Yes Bodie, that's his name Bodie's hilarious.

I'm all about Omar, but he became kinda a semi-major character. The other guy I like is, damn I forgot his name, he's always fuckin around with the two goofy cops, the actor was also in OZ?

if anyone wants to watch it but nto go through the trouble of downloading it, it's on ABC.com streaming for free.

i lived near detroit most of my life till last year, it's just so surreal for me to see the Tigers in the playoffs, against the Yankees. I have to root for them, and pick them, no matter how impossible it may be. Even if they got sweeped in the next round, the Tigers making the playoffs and beating the Yankees would be incredible.

Based on Scorsese and the awesome awesome cast, this has to be a good movie. However, the trailers make it seem lame.

The opening sequence was AWESOME. The rest was good, but frustrating, weirdness for weirdness' sake.

Mark Foley asks, "Do I make you a little horny?"
bobobrazil1984 replied to vivalaultra's topic in Current Events
This just appeared on the AP: A senior congressional aide said Wednesday that he alerted House Speaker Dennis Hastert's office two years ago about worrisome conduct by former Rep. Mark Foley with teenage pages. Kirk Fordham told The Associated Press that when he was told about Foley's inappropriate behavior toward pages, he had "more than one conversation with senior staff at the highest level of the House of Representatives asking them to intervene." The conversations took place long before the e-mail scandal broke, Fordham said, and at least a year earlier than members of the House GOP leadership have acknowledged. -
Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

the show itself is excellent, but the premise is kinda lame. If Aaron Sorkin wasn't diong it, I'd never watch a show about the backstage happenings of Saturday Night Live. -

When's the official release, end of october sometime, right? How's the new battle system? easy or pain in the ass? I'm a tad worried about fights being too chaotic, with characters running around, fumbling through menus, hard to tell what's going on, trying to cycle between characters, etc. Star ocean 3 kinda ruined that kind of battle system for me. -

Ken Watanabe would be awesome, though he'd probably be worried about typecasting after playing faux Ra's Al Ghul in Batman. -
for someone who's not a fan of gamestop/EB and the way they do business, it kinda makes me want to laugh at them.

well not a restaurant tank, but Finding Nemo did the whole "fish in a tank trying to escape" bit.

BourneAgain, where did you get that Futurama image from, or did you make it yourself?
