how exactly does this fit in with the weekly PPVs? I maen if there's a PPV every frikken week, well then the show simply cant be that good, if you make your free tv weekly show better than the weekly ppv show, then nobody will buy the ppv show and only watch the free. Maybe they should change the PPVs to monthly.

The movie's so low-budget though (40 million) that i have to think it will eventually make some profit, which bodes well.

I watched the trailer again, and this part is in the trailer: "The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta,"
-
They're actually referring to a bit of dialogue that was leaked out from the script, a few words of which may have been part of the trailer. This is apparently from when Evey first meets V in the alley: V: This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished, as the once vital voice of the verisimilitude now venerates what they once vilified. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vangquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis-à-vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V. Evey: Are you, like, a crazy person?

The Wachowski's aren't actually directing the movie. They adapted the script though, and might have some producer capacity i dont know about that. James McTeigue, worked with the Wachowski's as an assistant director on the matrix movies.

I just saw the trailer a few minutes ago. Not thrilled with some of the changes I've heard about from Alan Moore's legendary graphic novel, but the trailer itself looks not too bad, seems relatively faithful in spirit, though I want to see some of the vaudeville aspects of "V". Portman is a great casting choice for Evey.

^ as serious title contenders? I wouldn't, not until really getting a chance to see what they can do. Has their team changed significantly since last year (i havent been keeping track of them), they couldn't even take one game against Miami. I think they need a good low-post presence before they can be taken seriously with detroit, miami, and indy. edit: oh wait, they added abdur-rahim didnt they? well, we'll see how they gel.

count me as one of the ones happy about that. I've always hated Hagrid. So fuckin annoying. I hope he dies.

Just some thoughts on the NBA in general... It's very difficult to continue to think of the West as the 'superior conference' anymore. Minnesota and Sacramento have pretty much fallen off the "elite teams" radar. We have no way of knowing if Seattle will be as good with McMillan. San Antonio are the champs and if Phoenix can continue with little dropoff, they are the two top teams in that conference. In the East, The Pistons are still as good as anyone (assuming the LB to Flip transfer goes smoothly), Miami is also as good, really anything could have happened between SA, Det, and Miami in those last two rounds, all were so close. Indiana having all their guns back were one of the best teams in the leagues. The jury's still out on teams like Cleveland and Chicago, but the "gap" has narrowed considerably. Barring a big breakdown or big surprise ascension, the East is fielding 3 legitimate title contenders (rather than just "Finals contenders")

just so we're clear, killing him off means squashing him and getting his ass kicked by Undertaker and not actually having his character die... right? right??? hmmm or not. Knowing WWE and their endless parade of "let's outSHIT ourselves by making this crappy shit angle worse than our last crappy shit angle" storylines, maybe it's meant literally.

awesome book. It felt much "fuller" than GoF or OoTP. Both of those imo dragged at times and could have been shorter. This one, I felt like could have easily been longer. I think it was just that there were way more plot and character threads to jump around to so it didn't dwell on one, the way OoTP had scene after scene after scene of Umbridge being a an oppresive tyrant (yeah we get it, she's awful). I thought it was interesting how the big reveals were, not so much out-of-left surprises, but more surprises in the sense that it was exactly what Harry thought, it was Malfoy all along, Snape was evil all along*, they did pull off their plan when Dumbledore left the castle. It just felt different (in a good way), sometimes our hero(es) arent complete idiots, harry's instincts were right all along which is a surprise in of itself. I also, surprisingly, even liked the romantic subplots. ron/hermoine has pretty much been obvious since GoF, though Harry/Ginny kinda came out of left field, it was cool. I had sorta guessed that Snape was the half blood prince though, he is the potions master after all. For book 7 i'd just as soon they say 'fuck hogwarts' and go all out adventuring in search of the horcruxes, kicking death eater ass along the way.

to be somewhat fair to the WWE, Bossman's poem about Big Show's dad was pretty funny. I'd forgotten all about that angle till this article.
-
^ what exactly is wrong with the article? Are you gonna argue that angles like Mark Henry the sex addict, Katie Vick, Iraqi Sympathiser aren't complete and utter crap? Which is what he's saying.

Frankly it seems to me Larry was stringing this along so as to get a buyout and not have to actually resign and give up the money. If he really wanted to stay that much all he had to do was give a strong committment to coach the entire season, no Gar heard fiascos, especially after a Finals where home court coulda won a championshiop. and lets not even start with all the speculation, which each time, he could have quelled with an early forceful statement. "I am not going to coach the Knicks. I am not going to Cleveland next year, period." That's really what pissed off Bill Davidson. A bit harsh though, no? man doesn't pull his punches. Anyways, I like his coaching and wish he'd stayed, and i think flip is a step down, but i blame him more than I blame the Pistons. anyways, i hope he rests and doesn't go running to the knicks immediatly. FOr his own reputation he should wait till the following season to take that job anyways.

I was dissappointed. Very. I'm mre looking forward to All Star superman, because even if it doesn't kick ass, Morrison will at least go a little over the top and crazy and different.
-
Oh great, Flip Saunders now. I'd rather have Rick Adelman personally. I'm not that big of a fan of his, and I think Detroit's D is going to take a big hit. Frankly I fear we wont even be able to get past a Miami or Indiana now. LB is a big part of how this team plays. Darko must be happyt hough.

If this show was just about Hulk and not about his daughter, this could be the greatest show ever
-
No, it's not. They're already IN the NBA, so he might as well market them. If Kobe or Garnett or Lebron had come in two years later, and were as good right now, he'd still be marketing them. That's just a stupid statement. He doesn't want high school players coming in so early... so he SHOULDN'T market players that have already been in the NBA years? Thank god you're not running the NBA or any other league.
-
I'd like to see, like 5 or 6 new episodes on DVD, rather than a 2 hour movie on DVD. still, cool news.

I just finished an awesome book "A Game of Thrones" by George R. R. Martin, probably one of the best, and freshest "fantasy" novels i've ever read. It's more king arthur-ish or shakespeare-ish than lotr-ish though.
-
Whatever dude*. Anybody who is good at 17 or 18 will be even better at 19 or 20 (or 21). Out of the HS players only Lebron has been able to play at a high level immediatly upon arrival, everybody else took a few years to build up their talent. Better they be closer to their potential right when they come in instead of having to sit on the bench "learning the game". of course its no wonder jermaine o'neal was arguing against it. how many years did he sit on the bench raking in $$$ for contributing little? *dude of course bieng chad ford who wrote the article not dangerous A.

Ultimate F4 Marvel Knights 4 The Ultimates Gravity Amazing Spiderman Punisher MAX The Pulse Dude, The Pulse sucks. It's not even a pimple on the ass of "Alias", which it was supposed to replace.

I agree Flip is better for Darko, but I dont feel he's better for the team as a whole. I'm not particularly impressed by Flip and I think the team's defensive intensity will take a hit if LB leaves. All they need to do is build up some more depth on the bench, and they're a great championship contender. Also, after next year, I think the chances of one of the starters or pieces leaving become greater since salaries start catching up, and pretty much all of the 4 starters aside from Rasheed, will probably want (and deserve) a pay raise. Ben's a FA after next season, i thik Prince is too though it may be restricted. I dont feel its worth risking a championship year, possibly the last great one, for darko millicic.
