And the next villain for the Batman series will be

they should really go for a long vertical-faced actor, it would be faithful plus diferent looking enough than jack nicholson. -
So I'm doing the free trial of Netflix...

my friend tried this once, and cancelled from the website with no problems. -
to be fair, the series' are just starting. A *lot* of playoff series suddenly get competetive after one team goes up 2-0 at home (or even on the road a la houston/dallas). I think dallas/phoenix and detroit/indiana have the best chances of getting competative in game 2 or 3.

well its a post about politics, so i'd say it is a joke post.

Brody is good. Other good fan picks I've seen are Crispin Glover, Steve Buschemi, Tim Roth, and shockingly some want Mark Hammil -
looks kinda interesting. the kids look like snotty brats though. The White witch looks perfect though. Jesus, i mean Aslan, looks pretty cool too.

One and Only Star Wars Geekiness Thread

nothing. it was at one point thought of as a 9 part series, but Lucas changed that when he wrapped it all up in ROTJ. I dont remember the specifics, but I dont think the Emperer was gonna show up at all until towards the end of the series. Also, Leia wasn't Luke's sister (that was conceived when Lucas and/or whoever thought up the new condensed ROTJ), the idea being "there is another" woulda been being raised on the other side of the galaxy and somehow would figure into the later episodes. A lot of this came from Gary Kurtz, who was a co-producer with Lucas on SW and ESB. -
kick. ass. i just bought tix for the boston screening. Serenity here i come!

today I watched season 3 of the clone wars, five 15-minute episodes... these were awesome. They had action, told a story without endless politicial "official" talk, MOVED and FLOWED like the original trilogy, anakin and obi-wan were actually FRIENDS going on missions together, instead of bickering people who it seems like hate but tolerate each other... it was all really good. If only Episode II had been I and this had been Ep 2. The assault on Coruscant in particular was just awesome. That coulda been half a movie right there. -
drawing fouls on Shaq to make him sit, the Wiz are gonna have do that all series long to have a shot. edit: or not, since Miami is delivering a shellacking even without Shaq.

The 2005 MTV Movie Award Nominees

so the Spidey 2 kiss isn't on there? That one really meant something, it was the culmination of the whole movie. Lame. -
Boy that Tracy McGrady, he was real "hungry" to get out of that first round like everyone was insisting, wasn't he? i'm kinda glad. LIke his cousin Vince Carter, Tracy's another guy who admitted he didnt play as hard as he could have in his old team, probably to get traded. What is it with that family and slackers? Compare that to someone like AI who just plays his heart out no matter how shit his team is. I have little sympahy and i'm glad both of them went out in round 1. Here are my predics earlier in the thread, did pretty good in the West, not so much in the East: 1- Phoenix vs -8- Memphis Phoenix in 4 ---Yay i was right1 -4- Dallas vs -5- Houston Dallas in 7 ---Ding ding ding -3- Seattle vs -6- Sacramento Seattle in 6 ---I don't even remember if Seattle won in 5 or 6, that's how uninspiring this series was -2- San Antonio vs -7- Denver Spurs in 5 ---*Homer voice* woohoo! 1. Heat vs 8. NJ Nets -Miami in 5 ---Wow, Wince couldnt even steal one game. 4. Bulls vs. Wizards -Bulls in 7 ---Aww I was so close. Kinda. 2. Pistons vs. 7. Philly -Detroit in 5 ---nice 3. Celtics vs 6. Pacers -Boston in 6 ---Crapola, another wrong East series.
-
East -1- Miami vs -5- Washington Miami in 5 -2- Detroit vs -6- Indiana Detroit in 6 (maaaybe 7. I expect some road wins from both teams) West -1- Phoenix vs -4- Dallas Phoenix in 7. Dynamite offensive series. I'll laugh at the defense though. -2- San Antonio vs -3- Seattle San Antonio in 6

That they're confident hte finale gonna be so incredibly awesome that they're basicaly saying "We dare you to not watch the season premiere after seeing this awesome shit we put out. Go ahead. Try it." i'm assuming it means its a cliffhanger of some sort.

If the latter film in question is unquestionably one of the greatest films ever made, and the former is "Fever Pitch", then yes. -
boo fuckin' hoo.

there are people that haven't seen Godfather I or II??? What kind of warped reality is this!? How are these people even allowed to talk about movies at all without having seen the Godfathers!? and Fever Pitch getting a higher rating than one of the (arguably) top 10 greatest films of all time is hilarious. -
well, good season for the Bulls, but MAN you could definetly see these kids' inexperience coming through there at the end. No poise under extraordinary pressure at all.
-
jebus, the Bulls are just collapsing on these few possessions. Like 3 turnovers in a row. The crowd and situation seems to be rattling them, this is where lack of experience and poise is hurting them.

the original star trek, over time, is very uneven. there are dozens of episodes that are just cringe worthy now, from acting effects and story, but there are also some episodes which still hold up as dramatic awesome TV, like "The Doomsday Machine" (tense as fuck), and that one about Kirk and Edith Keeler, also "Balance of Terror" which I think is the Romulan's first debut episode.

20/20 has a special on LOST right now. Apparently every single episode's music is recorded via an orchestra rather than TV show synthesizers. all writers inspired by the twilight zone... Claire's siutation in the jungle was inspired by Mia Farrow in Rosemary's Baby hmm... Terry O QUinn was told to act as if he was seeing the most beautiful thing he's ever seen... not much more concrete info from what I saw, but lots of interesting info in general.

the Wrath of Khan is such a kickass movie. though I am entertained by a few of the ST movies, WOK is the only one I really think is just an awesome movie. KKHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNN!!!

Stephen Jackson always seems ready for a fight. If that jersey comes out of the shorts, watch out!

Walt's a little shit. just thought i'd mention that.

he wrote "Ender's Game", which is sort of known as a sci-fi classic book (haven't read it yet). On a more entertianing note, he's also a homophobic nutjob who advocates a position of criminalizing homosexuality (keep it on your permanant record) in order to scare gays back in the closet. oh and i think he writes Ultimate Iron Man for marvel comics. and whats with the praise for Smallville as some shining beacon of sci-fi quality TV? It's not bad, but its not particularly great either. the general premise though, quality of other sci-fi has passed star trek by, is accurate though.
