There's just something about the 'feel' of the reaction that makes me suddenly believe JVG much more htan I did initially. hell, cuban corroborated half of what JVG said. i mean he said that cuban complained bout yao to the NBA, and as such NBA are taking a closer look at Yao, moreso than the other players. then cuban confirmed he sent a tape of Yao plays to NBA, who responded that 9 of the plays were illegal, logically, you'd think after that they would indeed keep a closer eye on Yao. A lifetime ban for that? Insane. the whole thing woulda blown over if Stern hadn't gone all psycho over it, and it woulda been written off as the usual playoff-official-complaining. and plus, Stern didn't have any VinceMcMahon-esque badass quotes like "The vote was 1-0. I won." to help redeem him.

well, that's over at least. Detroit over Philly in 5, as was most predictions. Philly played hard though, but in the end nobody else besides Iverson could do much (wow was Korver completely useless in this series).

new episode of LOST tomorrow! Finally!!!! When is the season finale? Lost should switch to non-stop seasons. 24, Battlestar Galactica, and The Shield all go with non-stop seasons this season, and it has helped the quality and momentum build from week to week.

glad to see HItchhiker's and Interpreter doing good. I saw them both this weekend, they were both good. Hitchiker's was funny (alan rickman is god), and Interpretor was suitably tense and interesting. jesus sean penn can be a douchy guy sometimes, but goddamn is he a fucking good actor.

This lawsuit was a case where Marvel actually did have a contract with Stan Lee that they were trying to get out of. THey had the contract, they should follow it. Good on Stan.

nice surprise. Ben Wallace is as good as ever, literally changing games with his defensive pressure. its a surprise though because I didn't expect it, i thought he'd fall into the Duncan category (ie, he's just consistently good that it becomes kind of "boring"). I think you could make a legit dark horse case for Tayshun prince from that team too.

great game between Miami and NJ, just went into overtime #2 off of a carter 20-bounce shot at the buzzer. Eddie Jones completely blew it by missing 2 free throws which would have put the game away.

Pacers/Pistons may have been low scoring but it did have some exciting games in the end. Games 1 (Reggie!), 2 (Tayshaun's block heard round the world), and 6 (which is basically where the seeds of the brawl were laid, i mean the detroit fans were this close to charging after Artest, the heat was incredible), and it felt important. you can say anything like that about Cha/Miami
