dang. thats pretty good. the fact that it was the frikken Hawks I'm sure didn't hurt him though. Still it was the perfect situation to give darko some real non-garbage minutes. It was a meaningless game, but his playing time actually mattered in the context of the game, which i'm sure helped his confidence. LB should start him again for the last game of the season (if Rasheed still sits out), just to see if if he can give a consistently OK performance given the time.

The Lisa Ortiz Copeland side of the story

Her shutting up about it and moving on with her life is not entertaining to us. This is. Hence, what she did > what you say she should do. -
they've got nothing to lose, they might as well. help his confidence out a bit. After almost losing Rip and Rasheed last game i dont blame LB for letting starters rest. darko sucks but one big problem with the whole project is that he was a sort of perimeter player in europe (despite being 7 ft), and LB and Co. is trying to reprogram him into a low post presence. i read some quote from him where he said he would see tapes of himself from serbia and he doesn't even remember how he did taht stuff. LB isn't the right coach for him, not that i think he'd be great, but i think he could have developed into a soild 7 to 10 pt bench addition by now. LB has had clashes with all the europe players, mehmet okur, carlos delifino and of course darko.

McMahons are the kings of selective twisting. if MSG goes opposite what Vince wants, bah its all internet smarks!

My predictions on the West first round, since those matchups are locked up. (all predictions subject to change right before the playoffs start!) 1- Phoenix vs -8- Memphis Phoenix in 4 -4- Dallas vs -5- Houston Dallas in 7 -3- Seattle vs -6- Sacramento Seattle in 6 -2- San Antonio vs -7- Denver Spurs in 5 Good probability that the last spot in the East is decided today. Cle and NJ are tied and NJ has the tiebreaker. if NJ wins against the Wizards, then Cle basically have to win their last two games and hope NJ loses their last. Cle is playing the Celts. Their best chance at the moment is winning, and hoping to god NJ loses.

I just read this over in the other thread, but i have to comment twice. awesome internet bitchslapping. Its absolutely insane how much more entertaining this whole thing has been than anything in the WWE for years. That's not an exaggeration. there's really no way for edge/lita to respond though, without coming off as even worse. -
that one's pretty cool, actually. the most successful and coolest wrestling shirts are the ones where a) you can where it without the unawares realizing its a wrestling shirt and b) where other wrestling fans will see it and know it immediatly, like a secret code or something. Plus its just cooler to have a simple logo a la nWo or austion 3:16 than garish pictures.

Dear lord, now that's an internet bitchslap. tell us what you REALLY think Lisa.

gee too bad nobody called the amnesty global when CTU was in the middle of torturing like THREE OR FOUR INNOCENT PEOPLE! tough luck Sarah... and Heller's annoying son... and Paul... and, err i feel like i'm missing someone.

i think the basketball product is pretty good. We've got a variety of types of games, we've got great defensive team games like SA and Detroit, we've got run and gun scoring teams, we've got star-driven teams like Miami, but of course we also have mediocre star-driven teams. overall, the actual gameplay of nba is pretty good. As far as the playoffs go, I really hope we don't get deprived of Miami-Detroit and San Antonio-Phoenix. Personally I think any combination of those 4 teams in the Finals would make a great series.
-
GREAT game on ABC with Detroit and Cleveland. THat could be it for Clevelands playoff hopes though. Tayshaun Prince played outstanding man-to-man defense on LeBron in that last five minutes. Cle better pray the Sixers beat the Nets tonight.

OH MY GOD CHRISTOPHER REEVE LIVES!

I have some TV production experience (and I fit all the other criteria), but its not two years worthand it has nothing to do with writing... I once dreamed about working in WWE's production department, but the shit that was 2002, 2003, and half of 2004 killed my love for the business. The fact that I'd actually have to watch and follow these dreadful shows is a major turnoff job-wise.

the key words being "ever since". That's what, half a season? Clearly all the talk about his haphazard play talk is about his time in TORONTO. WOW, After half-assing, deliberatly phoning it in for YEARS, he didn't HALF-ASS FOR AN ENTIRE HALF-SEASON!!! What an achievement!!! Talk about lowered expectations. I'd rather see Lebron and AI make the playoffs they play their hearts out even if the entire team around them sucks ass, unlike Vince 'waaaaah' Carter. Anyways my heart warms to know he will never ever win a ring.
-
I'd hate Carter's guts too if i was in Toronto. The guy just phoned it in, and admitted it later. What an ass. A talented ass, but an ass nonetheless. Unfortunatly its looking like the Nets will probably surpass the cavs for the last spot. just the momentum.

there still hasn't been a satisfactory answer as to why this is anything resembling news or worthy of a thread. Oh my god, Howard Stern did an XM commercial a few years back!!! CALL THE DRUDGE REPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
if the pop-ups appear as IE windows and you are using Firefox, then they are not coming from the web. Are you running a P2P program like Kazaa? That's one possibility.
-
i dont understand... its an XM commercial from a few years back with Stern in it?? Uh, so what? how in any way shape or form is that thread-worthy?? as far as 'relevance' goes, I'd say stern is quite a bit more relevant, known, and listener-attracting than opie and anthony. However, this thread is the only thing's whose relevance i'm questioning.

A "dedicated" music player is one whose sole signfiicant function is playing music. For instance, the iPod is mainly dedicated to playing digital music. There are some small extra features, but nothing major like radio, or video, or anything else. All of its resources are geared towards the singular goal of playing music. The opposite might be, say, the PSP that plays mp3s or a PDA that lets you plug in headphones and listen to mp3s on it, or a cell phone with music capability. Obviously the iRiver isn't as far as to the other side as those devices, it is a music player but it is packed with other features. There is a school of thought that says quality companies' dedicated players will basically serve you better as far as quality consistency goes, because all the companies effort/energy is behind that one function. The opposite school of thought (good companies can make good multi-function players that do it all well) also exists, obviously. I prefer dedicated, i always get a "clunky do everything pretty well but nothing super-duper-well" feeling from them, but that's just ME. you may be different. I haven't really used the iRiver much so I cant say what is wrong with it. Its a bit bulky so if the look/feel matters to you that might be negative. I've also heard that it has some surprisingly slow scrolling speed, and that its interface is not super-easy to learn quickly. Its geared more to a tech-savvy audience than a mass-market one, but if you like tinkering with electronics that is probably a plus rather than a minus. In general though i've heard pretty decent things, if i didnt have my ipod i'd choose iriver over creative or rio. As far as "how is the Ipod better", its biggest strength is mostly in interface/control, its a snap to use, every important function is somehow condensed into one circle, and scrolling through hundreds of songs is a joy. you'll find many ipod-lovers actually enjoy the actual physical act of using the touch/click wheel to "browse" their ipod, rather than just being a task to get to their music. sure it looks cool, but if its interface hadn't been up to snuff and people were constnatly getting frustrated with it, it wouldn't have sold as well as it has. i guess its that whole 'apple simplicity' mojo steve jobs gets a hard-on for. i'm actually baffled as to why other companies can't seem to come up comparable intuitive interfaces. yesterday i checked out the Sony player (375 for 20GB, crazy, but it had mega battery life) at the store, and there were little buttons all over the place, it wasn't immediatly apparent to me how to use it.

No, nothing does matter anymore. Its why wrestling sucks. YOu can only see the same old tired crapola recycled so many times before its not entertaining any more. its part of why i gave up. Actually strike that, nothing matters anymore, except occasional backstage dirt involving Matt, Lita, and Edge. only entertaining thing to come out of WWE.

the whole thing is about ten times more entertaining than WWE television.

funny thing i read on pwtorch: Well of course they kept it in house and quiet... the story makes them look like scumbags!

President Bush seeks advice from Clinton, Father
bobobrazil1984 replied to Vern Gagne's topic in Current Events
I'm not surprised, Clinton (Bill at least) has sort of a reputation for taking some kind of delight in befriending political enemies. Also, I'd imagine party politics only goes so far, there is simply something more to being president that only someone else who's been a president could understand. Clinton has never been venomous towards Bush, and they actually have some stuff in common in terms political strengths. what was funny though was before, when these bush/clinton getting all buddy-buddy reports started to come out, I was reading some right-wing site, and it was hilarious, everybody was coming up with these complicated rationalizations about how Bush couldn't possibly REALLY be becoming friends with Clinton, how Bush wouldn't REALLY associate with someone as awful a person as Clinton! Apparently not understanding the simple "it's all just politics" concept of making your political opponent look bad, and instead taking it all literally. Wingers (right and left) are truly the dumbest people in america. -

Anyone know what the song was that was playing at the end of THIS episode? (With Vic in the police station looking around at all the former STrike Team member)
