One of the reasons might be because WWE hasn't really let Brock show off his skills, which he must have, you don't become NCAA champ but dropping F5s and powerbombs, and they think that with Angle, in a match between two former amateur wrestlers, he will be allowed to bust loose with some stuff. After all Angle had expressed wanting to work with more agile wrestlers.

What else is there on TV that you dont have to spend money to watch? If TNA got a TV Deal I'd watch that, but as it stands now, no way I'm paying money to see Russo and Jeff Jarret and the rest.

The title match SHOULD be the main event. If they are afraid of the crowd being burned out then they should push the ANgle/Lesner match hype into overdrive. Fuck, let me into the video studio and i'll make them a video promo involing fotoage of their amateur days, that will sell it as the main event. BUT I'm very very glad it seems that WWE isn't giving into Goldberg's bullshit. With Austin and Rock coming back, and Angle and Lesner stepping up nito main event, they don't need that overrated piece of shit.

It should definetly be Benoit. It could be absolutely killer, a wrestling vs. Hollywood storyline. Imagine, Rock coming back in full Hollywood prick mode. In promos disrespecting the business, talking about WWE as his "paycheck between movies" and talking about he's got ten scripts on his desk and as soon as he decides which to do he'll be gone making money, banging supermodels, and the works. All Benoit would need is ONE well written promo talking about he gave everything for this business. While Rock was off making Hollywood millions, he was sitting in a neck brace itching to get back in the ring. Then the hype up promos, somewhat similar to the Brock/Rock ones for Summerslam... only The Rock video promos are framed like a movie trailer, starting with the green rating screen, and it says "Hollywood presents... ... The Rock" And you show Rock talking about the same stuff as above, intercut with a few scenes of him wrestling. Rock talking about how The People will follow him anywhere and pay any money to see him. Talks about the peoples elbow as flash, the elbow isn't a wrestling move, is a flashy move because all "my people want" is a bit of sizzle to make them happy, and that's why they'll follow me Intercut with scenes from The Scorpion King, Rock at a Hollywood Premiere, even slip in scenes from Helldorado. "The Rock... is bigger than wrestling." Then Benoit's promos are a different way. Like Foley's old homemade scratchy videos, but this is of Benoit wrestling as a youngstar, footage of him in Stu Hart's dungeon, footage of him from Japan, from WCW, talking about all the years and all the training he went through, with voice overs of all the announcers who've called his matches singing his praises "the best wrestler in north america" bla bla, with dramatic music, scenes of fans giving him a standing ovation at the Rumble, scenes fo suplexes and headbuts and all kinds of crazy shit. "Ive been a wrestler since a child, I'm a wrestler now, and I will always be a wrestler... I love wrestling." and close with the shot of Benoit making Rock tap from last year. "I will stand up for wrestling." Wrestling v Hollywood. It will sell itself, and if Rock is leaving for good, this will be a good way to send him off while making Benoit into a true star. Imagine, Rock's entire movie career will be a part of Benoit's storyline.

I wouldn't have much of a problem with The Rock if he hadn't made the whole "Get the F Out" speech after Austin left. For better or for worse... -Austin left because he saw/thought the company was going to shit. -Rock left becuase he could make more money (nothing wrong with that on its own mind you) -Austin is now coming back full-time -Rock is coming back for two months before retiring for good for Hollywood (if the article is to be believed, which i'm already doubtful of) Who is really more deserving of being the brunt of The Rock's stupid little speech? Yeah wrestling's in your blood... Remove that speech from history and I have no problem with Rock going on to Hollywood and making oodles of money. With it, he's a gigantic hypocrite.

The whole thing just seems so fake. So Rock got the spy hunter part because some guy snuck in and gave him the script? *cough*bullshit*cough*. Some of the plans sound reasonably interesting, sort of... but still I don't believe it.

not to be pessimistic, but are we sure this is legit? I mean it seems to be exactly everything we smarks want to hear. Is the issue even out yet (What's its release date)? or did somebody at the board you got it from just make it up? I hope it's real though. But something tells me even if it is, Vince isn't going "wake up."

Booker and Goldust for Big Show and A-Train. Heyman can blather on about how his guys are going to conquer both shows or whatever. It could make a bit of sense since Eric doesn't like BookerDust and Steph doesn't like Heyman, so they trade and in Vince's eye its probably an equal trade, and everybody's happy, especially me.

I agree with the general sentiments that Wrestlemania should NOT have inter-promotional cards. Save those for when they're really needed. Wrestlemania already has its legendary aura and build up and all that. I wouldn't mind something like, say Survivor or an IYH being an inter-promotional card. Or do it on KOTR by having the whole tourney that night and re-arranging the winners to fight on that night interpromotionally. KOTR could become something special if they hype it up right. (what i mean by that is, say on RAW that RVD, Kane, Batista, and Jericho win qualifiers, and on SD lets say Haas, Benoit, Mattitude, and Rey win qualifiers, set it up so round one is RVD v Haas, Batista v Benoit, Kane v Rey, and Jericho v mattitude, or whatever)

it specifically states that Gerwitz submitted his RAW scirpt in advance, so the goodness/crappiness of RAW doesn't have much to do with him not being there.

The problem with having Benoit and Angle again at No Way out is the fact that you got the same situation you had with Brock/RVD at Vengeance (or even Foley/HHH at no way out 2000), where Angle is going on to the big one next month so he has to win and be kept strong, and you don't want to weaken Benoit (especially now) by having him go in AGAIN and lose again. I would go with Team Angle v Benoit, Brock and Edge (or even minus Edge, 2 on 3) or even (don't kill me) Benoit v Edge in a face v face showdown. You could sell it as something like rock v austin (obviously it wont be as big, but bigness depends all on how its presented int he wrestling world. If Tazz/Cole and everybody on the SD show sell it as something huge, it will be). I can't really think of who else is high enough for Benoit to feud with over the next month/two months and not seem like a bring-down after Rumble. Taker or Big Show i suppose but nobody wants to see those matches.

The song was making radio airplay BEFORE WWE started using it for Victorias music. WWE just latched to something somewhat mainstram and paid money to use it.
