X3: Last Stand DVD Details and Covers
FroGG_NeaL replied to Yuna_Firerose's topic in Television & Film
That is a nice cover. I'll probably wait and see if another collector's edition or 3.5, or whatever comes out before I buy this. -
I remember Greoning saying that he and alot of the guys that worked on the old shows would have a big part in this. He basically made it sound like he was going all out to make the movie as good as the show used to be.

Keiji Mutoh with six Championships Hogan with his collection of titles Vader with the Triple Crown Ultimo Dragon with the J Crown Great Sasuke with the J Crown 4 Horsemen with the gold

Thank you, dude. Finally someone who understands the brilliance of Heenan.
-
Me either. It must have been the network's fault. Vince never false advertises.
-
Me too. I remember alot of old timers posting there, sharing all kinds of fun stories and fucked up shit damn near noone knew about. I can't really remember names off the top of my head, although I seem to remember Tom Zenk did.

Not too many schoolyard kids really wear wrestling shirts, unless it's Cena, usually.

Ya know, when RVD had the belt we had a good main event that ended in a clean win. I really hope RVD does get straight back into the position he was in before the suspension like the rags say. And there is no reason to end a big time match on a DQ, if there is a reason, like neither guy can job, then the match shouldn't take place. Wait til a better time for that fued. There have been exceptions to this, though. If the ending is done creativly and furthers the story, then it's all good to go with a DQ.

How long does the sale actually last? Until Friday or Sunday? I got some gift cards and some money owed to me that I'm gonna spend on these shits like a mofo'. -
.... wait a minute....

That's part of what I was saying a few posts up. I like the dqs and countouts at times, to build to the overall story of old ECW vs new ECW, but the ECW title should be defended under ECW rules, no fuckin' other way about it.
-
What's he saying in that? "From the bottom of my heart, don't kiss my ass" ?? Or something else? "Seriously guys, From the bottom of my heart....you can all kiss my ass." Batista was lost, he didn't know how to react to something like that. Cena did so much better in that environment, as did Randy Orton. And Flair, and Taker, and mofuckin' Kane. They were filming the Tron for a while, and it was still airing the shit, so WWE has it recorded, think they'll play it? Also, I think I caught Batista saying," I am never fuckin' coming back to this place" when there's an extreme close-up on his face. And those fans trying to start shit, jumpin the rail? They're lucky they didn't make it past security. Show and Batista would have fucked niggas up.

Oh, I meant no desrespect to Joe. Joe is that nigga right now in NWA.

Dude, no body gave a flying fuck. Hulk fuckin Hogan was comin to the ring to save the fuckin' day, the crowd was rabid, the went fucking beserk when Hogan turned. Anybody watching it would have just thought, yeah right, Bobby. You always say that shit. But anyway, let's say that one line was bad. If a one liner by Bobby Heenan, shit he'd said about hogan for years, then the other commentaters telling him he's nuts, Hogan is God, blah, blah, blah, like whoever was on commentary with him would do every other time he'd put down Hogan... If that's the only thing ya got to dislike about it, have at it. It's still the best heel turn in the history of proffessional wrestling to me.

lmao. unless he was just messing around great clips I doubt it dude, Michaels: booze, pills, coke, weed, minor steriods etc. Waltman: booze, pills, coke, weed, Exstasy, etc., Hall: booze, pills, alchohol, coke, beer, weed, bourbun, exstacy, booze, etc.Credible, pills, coke, weed, etc. Spicolli was a dude they hung with, and he O.D.ed like a week after joining, even HHH has problems with steriod addiction, and probably pops pills. Then on top of that, various shoot interview from these goys will tell you how fucked up they were back then, Nash talks about all the coke, wee, booze, bitches, whatever, and anytime the nWo came out for a promo, or to take over the announce table, they were always coked up/drunk/high and shit. I'm just saying, the way he did that VG promo had all sorts of signs that dude was tweaking.

How did they come up with these gimmicks or characters
FroGG_NeaL replied to Vern Gagne's topic in General Wrestling
Is it the one CM Punk told about chillin' with the old timers while they were plastered an they were tellin' stories and shit, but Race couldn't remember Warrior's name, Punk named like 3 dudes, and Race said no to all of them, then he discribed him better, and said he was a "Faggot Indian" and Punk just goes, " Oh, you mean the Ultimate Warrior". Then Race is all, "Yeah! That's the motherfucker.".... And shit? -
Probably the same reason there wasn't 2 Hogan/Michaels ppv matches.

The influcence of mixed martial arts in pro wrestling
FroGG_NeaL replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in The WWE Folder
Batista is Nash on a 'roid rage, whitch makes his workwrate seem better because he's constantly hyped up, like Warrior. Batista has had some decent matches in the past. For a while there, he was starting to get decent, around the time he had like 5 different finishers.* I saw an aftershow match after a supershow between him and HHH, No Holds Barred. This was like 2 months before thier Mania Match and it was better, I thought. They did the powerbomb onto the steps spot, and Batista got the win, like he did with JBL, except HHH took it like a fuckin' man. -
I watched the last month of TNA, and DL'd a ton of matches, PPVS and DVDs. The last time I watched TNA was thie 7th or so weekly ppv. They've changed alot, for the better in my opinion. If all the old dudes end up putting overall the new dudes, then I think the company can get pretty big in the next few years. First they need to draw a profit before thier funds run out. After that, I think they have potentioal to make wrestling cool again. If Stiener puts over Joe strong, Sting puts over Christian strong, AMW stay strong, and the older teams put over the newer guys big, I think the NWA has a good future. Plus, the X-Division. Nash can either destroy it, or help make it as popular as it used to be. With his vignettes ( I loved the triple moonsault one) and putting over Alex Shelly, who is fucking gold, he hasn't been coming in a killing the entire X-Division like I thought he might. Tme way things are going, the whole Nash/X-D story with end pretty well. Shelly and a few other dudes will be elevated, and Jerry Lynn coming in in a montor role is great. I've got to say that I've like most of everything I've seen so far. There have been some low points, but they improved everytime. Astyles/Daniels is a fucking fantastic team. I'd like ti see these two have a mini-fued with Low-Ki and....I dunno, a motivated Raven or something. They could have sort of a WCW Raven/Saturn thing going on, with Low-Ki as the enforcer for Raven like Saturn was. Also, I started watching again when I heard Sting, Steiner, Joe, Nash, Team 3D were doing pretty well, and Spike is with them as the runt that has a Napolian complex so he starts shit with all the hosses. That's the way I liked The Dudleys back in the day. They breifly did it with spike as thier "Boss" in WWE shortly before they were all seperated and let go. I like the Team 3-D(udleyz) anti-ECW shit, because they have beef over Vince keeping thier gimmick. Then Rhyno, who's been fucking awesome latley, wanted to stay in NWA and get a good push with a chance to do HIS character and get a good push, rather then be on The New ECW. He would probably be world champ there right now, instead of Big show, though. But then again, I doubt it.... But yeah, Rhino in NWA right now is rockin shit. To me, Next to Joe, Chris Cage, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Jeff Jarrett, Scott Stiener, Nash and probably tied with Ron Killings as the most valubale players in NWA right now. Yeah, I'm actually marking out for all of this shit, because I've only read things about TNA a few times on the web, other then a match here and there, plus those first 7 or so weekly ppvs. So all the shit that I DLed and have been watching on tv, all the serves and shit come out of nowhere, and most debuts or returns do also. most shit has been out of nowhere, and I'm diggin' it. But Yeah, That's my thoughts on NWA-TNA, based on everything I've ever seen from it. And Joes gonna kill you is a pretty awesome chant.
-
Yeah, if they were brought in without the Smackdown Tag-champ belts, and just worked a match they probably would've been treated normal. If these two had just now been called up, and were debuting like Punk, they would've been getting a good reaction. It's the fact that people come to an ECW show, they expect ECW wrestlers, even if it's not the O.G. guys. Punk came out and got over, and the Vampire didn't get shit on, Test and Knox aren't liked because they're wack for the most part, and Test is a WWE reject, but they didn't really get shit on in thier tagmatch. Why? Because they're there in ECW, not showing up on Raw and Smackdown, then dropping by ECW whenever Vince wants to stick them in there for a week. ECW, for better or worse, is offering an alternative to the other two WWE shows. The only problem is shit like this week's main event. And sending over WWE guys to take up time that tons of ECW guys who hardly ever get screentime, and that's shitty because there are alot of talented mofo's in that locker room. Many dudes with well developed characters who know how to get over if given the chance to do it. The only other thing that I'm gonna bitch about is the extreme rules deal. I'm hoping it plays into a slow burn story for new vs old ECW, which I'm sure it will. That's great, that's awesome. But to not have EVERY ECW world title match be ECW Rules is retarded.

Man, I remember the next night on Nitro, Tony and Mike sitting at a table in a studio, with a monitor in front of them talking about this. They then proceeded to replay it at least 25 fucking times in a row. Then later on, a few more times, then even later, a few more times. It was uncensored, every night that they showed the footage after that, it was blurred. That shit flipped me the fuck out though. I didn't watch PPVs at the time, and the first thing I see the next night is this. Shit was banannas.

The influcence of mixed martial arts in pro wrestling
FroGG_NeaL replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in The WWE Folder
I was just pointing out guys who had spent a relatively similar amount of times in thier respective sports. -
Same here, brotha. I even bought a Carlito shirt, my first wrestling T sine the original nWo. I've like the dude since he was stabbin' John Cena with Jesus. I would like Umaga to use some crazy setup, I guess the Somoan Spike, into that badass Somaon Drop, then his splash off the top to finish it off. Otherwise, the entire character is being built well, Jamal is finally showing his charisma that was always there, he's disciplened himself more, and doesn't legit kill peeps. And then there Armando Alejandro Estrada. Best manager since the Attitude era, easily. And could continue to be a major guy if they play him right. And really, whether this is what Joe turned down or not, Jamal is perfect in the role. No matter how good Joe is, and he's GOTDAMN good, I can't picture him pulling off this gimmick better then Jamal. And the way that damn near everyone just scatters when he goes nuts is so awesome. They need to paint his face better so his "tats" don't fade when he sweats. I really would like to see Umaga get involved in a title scene with Cena, Edge, and RVD when he returns.
