Something I would like to add to this magnificant post from Redhawk is the fact that there are no longer TRUE No. 1 contender's matches. It used to be that they built up a fued between two or more wrestlers with the fact that when they won, they would then become the number one contender to the title (to whichever title). This way, the ones in the no. 1 contender match have to think not only about that match, but who the champion will be in the actual title bout. This meant that not only were the parties involved in the match looking for the belt, but the two or three potential contenders wanted it as well, creating endless promo/matchup possibilities. I also agree with Jag about the rankings. That was definitely something that let the wrestling fan know where a wrestler was in relation to each title, and still create a sense that each wrestler individually knew their place. I even remember some promos where a wrestler had mentioned they were number ____ on the list and were ready to move to the top. Great post Redhawk. I completely agree. That is why, hopefully, the US Title will bring a sense of urgency and desire for a title, and not just hatred over some petty happening in the back. Great great thread.

To turn this thread back to its original intention really quick... As a guy who's been around since the beginning (if you remember LifelessJoe in the oooold boards, way before thesmartmarks.com and a quick stint as Jactus Cack) as an "observer", one guy that I've noticed continues to get thrown aside is Just Call Me Dan. I may not post alot, but I read just about everything posted in the "top group" of threads. Yes, to officially begin the oral sex, you guys don't pay attention to this man at all. Granted, a lot of times he jumps off the cuff, and sometimes he can be a moron, but damn, nobody ever responds to him. Like literally... about .01% of his posts are responded to, probably the lowest of the low (below when I rarely post, which is why I rarely post). Yeah, but wasn't there a report a while back about how "Vince was catching on to HHH" (which is, of course, bullshit). If that may infact be the case, the few house show reports that say H actually CARRIED Goldberg could show the sign that H may be a little fearful of his position and HAS to make the match with Gberg work or the fault may be put on him. The best part about this post is that we are all just assuming that shane WILL come back. I just want to point out how I love how the Torch doesn't have any faith in their info by making sure that they add "But Rock said he would be there and wasn't, so anything can happen" so that when he DOESN'T show up, they can say "We didn't promise it". To be honest, I don't think Shane will show up at all. Sure, he would be a good face for kane to fight for a while (cause they need them), but don't forget Shane's continuing disinterest in getting back in the ring. And, everyone knows that if he comes back for "just one Raw" in a major storyline role that he will be asked to be on TV for at least 3 weeks. And, he has stated that he doesn't want to do that at all. If Shane does come back, more power to him, and I hope it makes for compelling television (because we all know, McMahon + TV Air Time + Hogan's Air Guitar = Ratings). And speaking of, Raw's 4.2 - ALL LINDA MCMAHON BABY!!

I'd like to politely ask my question again and hopefully not continue on this Night of No-Selling Just call me Dan~! Didn't the entrance usually involve some almost blinding bright white lights in the beginning while the guys came out? I really enjoyed that and I didn't see that effect on Raw. Any one else notice this? But I so enjoy no-selling you Dan, it's so fun. Actually, I too, also missed the white lights. But, what I did really enjoy was the camera shot of all three of them standing on the apron. It just had a badass effect to me. It's like they were saying, "damnit man, look at us, we are the SHIT!" Of course, them getting in the ring at the same time wasn't necessary but the right thing to do. Now, if they just had all of there elements and added the blinding light (and a grind from flair) then we'd be in business. Now, let's see them NO SELL THE BOTH OF US!

I hope it doesn't lead to an Austin/Kane match. For Austin's sake and for our sake. Austin wouldn't be able to wrestle worth shit, and who do you put over in that match? Kane as the monster, or Austin as the badass GM who will be pissed either way? I hope we get to see the RVD/Kane match at SS. With the way RVD came out intense and with agression, it promises to be a better match than I think we are all expecting. I can only assume that Linda will allow Austin to get on employees or "do what he can" with Kane next week. or They will have Linda stand her ground and have Kane go after her again, and Steve make the save.

I am sort of split on the new Evolution theme. The old one was so badass (just got the mp3 from Eagan and burned it. It owns.) But Motorhead's version sounds like it could rock out as well. A look at the lyrics would really help, as they could make or break the song. I do agree that the heavier guitar is awesome. Let's just hope another WWE CD comes out (preferably with that playlist).

I would split group A up into two seperate groups. Push one guy up to the top of group Aa and let him win every match and keep his little heat until his legs fell off. Ab would put on better shows but everyone would have to have short hair. I would then have group B invade group A. Then have a mystery group C form in one week, join B, and take on A until they all ended up just falling into one another. I would then split this group ABC by using a draft. B would get the good wrestlers, A would get ok wrestlers, but one main guy who has no ego, whatsoever. Then ratings, buyrates, merchandise sales and morale would shoot through the roof. Did I mention everyone had to have short hair? And testicles?
