Lena Yada may've been the worst female debut of all time.

Did anyone actually pick up this game? I wanted to get it (yes, I loved the NFL Street series) but after the first scathing reviews I am not so sure.

YES! That was one badass motherfucker. Doing a flip in the air over a gladiator??!?!? Insanity. That was Kyler Storm who did the flip over Turbo during Season 7's "Battle of the Best". That would be . But of course, Turbo . In regards to the new version, I think it is a fun show. I could REALLY do without the general do-gooderies that the contestants keep spitting out, but otherwise its still fun... even if it doesn't have the Csonk.

I don't know if anyone saw this yet, but there is an awesome recap of S1-S3 in just 8:15...

Apparently Batista realized the fan couldn't at least vacuum. -

I don't remember seeing anyone actually post this, but holy crap it would've been amazing it if had happened. From the WON, on how the Flair angle was originally supposed to pan out: -Flair was to be off TV for a while before joining Smackdown, with vignettes showing historical moments in Flair's career building to Flair's return to Smackdown. The push was for Khali to defend the World Title against Flair on the August Saturday Night's Main Event. The idea was based on copying Courture/Sylvia with the legend vs. the giant. The idea was the bring legends on for cameos giving their prediction on the match to give it a 'big match feel', including using his family. Flair would show up in a limo, get a promo, Flair would get some comeback offense and eventually he'd lose. They'd try and get a word with Flair but he wouldn't talk. The next week he wouldn't be there, but they'd hype an important interview with Flair on the next show. -The announcers would talk about rumors Flair was going to announce his retirement. Flair would cut a promo saying he's not the person he once was as the old Ric Flair would've won the title that night, and if he can't be the old Ric Flair, then he would retire because he wants fans to remember the old days and not what he has become. He would then say being in that match changed him, because he refuses to go out like that, but the next time he lost he would retire. -He'd get some wins and there would be more legend cameos. One old rival (Terry Funk was suggested) would be one of the guys doing a tribute but actually subtly knock him. They would build a Flair vs. MVP match for the US Title at Unforgiven. That wrestler would interfere as Flair had the match won, so Flair would win via DQ but not get the belt. -The idea was to go in October with Flair & someone from his past against Foley & whomever (Funk), to build to a Survivor Series match where the Four Horsemen would be put together for one last time against four old Flair rivals. The proposed idea included a Flair vs. Foley Armageddon match and some Flair nostalgia opponent match at the Rumble. -Flair would be picked for the Money in the Bank match at Mania, and win the match (when people expect because of the odds it will be his last match). He would then ask for his title match that night at Mania, most likely lose, and then place his robe and his boots in the middle of the ring and walk off. Once again, credit WON. Holy crap that would've been amazing. -
Well even though it may not be a clean win, as a guy that marks out for Flair's jobber red, I am glad he is doing this angle in those tights. Its quite fitting.

I'm just glad Bags wasn't listed. That would be a crushing blow to my baseball psyche.

That would've been a real tragedy if that plane crashed into the other one. I can imagine just about every wrestler shitting their pants as they were either told what was happening in the air, or were prepping for a landing and suddenly felt the plane lift back up in the air. Either way, a lot of people could've lost their lives. -

I would rather be humiliated on WWE TV, doing Looney Tunes skits, for 6 figures a year, then making half that (if that much) working for TNA or independents. -

You know, I was a member of the original boards as Lifeless Joe. I was a pretty active contributor until it switched over. Then, I became a lot less vocal, just sat back and read the boards. Even when I thought I would dive back in, and created this account, I barely said a word (see number of posts vs. joined date). Now that I'm getting more vocal, and I've seen some of the progressions of the board and the IWC, I don't feel bad saying this... Jaxl, I am more proud of you than I have been of anyone or anything ever. -
I know I'm a little behind on this, but am I the only one who wants the shirt that Lawler is wearing? It may be a little sparkly, but damn its nice. I'd feel like the Hoyle Pimp wearing that thing.

After watching this week's episode, I am convinced that this show will walk away with multiple Emmys.

Another good episode this past Wednesday. I really like how Reese's dad is playing into this. His conversation with Crews in the office was fantastic television. I did think that the actual crime story this week was weak. I think next week, with the two-parter, the shit is really going to hit the fan.
-
This show is still one of the most fantastic shows on television. This plus Dirty Sexy Money and Life on Wednesday nights rule my world.
-
Flair is wearing his jobber red.
-
Orton, especially as the champ, desperately needs his sparkling rain pyro back.

I would love to see Jericho clothesline someone else as they are coming to the ring. It could be a new weekly segment. Speaking of weekly segments, whats the over/under on the return of the Highlight Reel?

A heard that a lot of people are complaining that HRG just immediately came back to life. But I think it is intriguing. I mean, do we really know who brought him back to life? What if Mohinder shot HRG knowing that he could bring him back to life? What if Bob and Elle have no idea that HRG is alive? I think that would be a very interesting twist to the story (and it doesn't make Mohinder look like such a dumbass).

This may've been the best episode of the series.

Did you watch Smackdown this week? The tag title match finish and re-start says hello.

I have two thoughts regarding Edge being in the show. My original instinct said that Edge won't even be involved. Even though he has been in all the advertising, WWE loves to save that type of stuff for TV to try to spike the ratings. But, if he did return, a plausible scenario might be this: After a brutal HIAC match where both men are bloodied up, Edge comes out and announces he is back. And, in doing so, he is going to invoke his "rematch clause" (or whatever they will call it, because he handed the belt away) because he never got beat for the title. Vicki Guerrero makes the match. Edge once again, for the THIRD time, comes out after someone is destroyed and takes the title from them. It gives Edge the belt back, gives him instant heat again, and starts a new feud perfectly after blowing off UT/Batista in the cell. If he does this to Taker, it is a good way to start a long feud building to Taker/Edge at WM. On top of that, long term, they could have Edge try that down the road a fourth time (I know it sounds bad, but bare with me), but he actually doesn't beat the face. This would give that face instant credibility.

Although it is a great show, I don't think it is the type that the Emmys usually give awards to. DL may get a nod, but it is a stretch. It is a shame, but that is how it works.
