HHH beats Umaga with the Pedigree.... the match was short (7-8 min?)... perhaps saving HHH for one more match? Or just giving me more hope to shatter? Also, Umaga worked on HHH's ribs. He is favoring them heavily. Excuse for later....?

So he knew Orton and Umaga would be knocked down but feels secure that long time HHH-bitch, Jericho could get the job done? Or, logic wise, he originally had Jericho waiting in line for HHH in case he got past Umaga, but didn't expect Cena to get injured and yadda yadda yadda. Now that HHH made it this far, its time for him to pull the trigger quicker than expected.

What Vince did actually worked too. It seems like since he said that Jericho wasn't there, the crowd shut up about him. If Jericho does come out, the pop won't be diminished due to "we knew it was coming" heat. It will be "holy shit we thought it wasn't coming so we really are surprised" heat.

With the Umaga/HHH match being this low on the card, there is still a chance for my scenario to play out: Main event interview leading to Jericho/HHH.

Vince just confirmed we are still going to see HHH/Umaga. With no pedigree finish on Orton, you know we had to see at least one.

Its Jeff Hardy/Comedy/Tragedy vs. Kennedy/Rednecks in a bonus match. I was half-way expecting, after the first WWE Title match to open a show, that we'd get the first Women's Title match as the second match of the show.

What I am hoping for is Vince, who would be pissed off, orders that HHH still has to face Umaga and this time its for the title. HHH barely wins, but gets destroyed by Umaga after the match. Vince comes out with "one more trick up his sleeve" and brings out Jericho. Jericho gets the big pop, then grabs a mic, super heels up and takes the belt from H. It starts a good fued, H is happy because he gets another title win on his road to beat Flair's number, and we get Jericho.
