While it may be fair to say that the French government was influenced by money, it's unfair to tar the French people with the same brush. Don't forget, it Europe this war was widely seen as an American war, with companies wanting Iraqi oil and Bush wanting to finish off his dad's work. That's why so many over here were opposed to this war, and why the French government could say they were sticking up for their people who believed war was wrong. Also, it's now been proved. 73) Goldberg has never won a belt in WWE/WWF. How crap is he? 74) If I was gay, I'd shag Steiner. He'd protect me

*Ahem* A quick search to Yahoo leads me to a non-Christian organization that is studying the behavior in question. Theory. Not proof. All it takes is a quick search to check up on it. That page agrees with what I said. Homosexuality is believed by almost all researchers to be affected by genetics as well as environment. Granted it hasn't been proved, but I agree with them that there isn't a "gay gene". My original post was in response to your views that homosexuality is an "emotional and psychologically driven behavioral disorder", which suggests that it is not biological and is out of God's hands, but instead is a completely free choice on the behalf of the individual. If I misconstrued any of your posts, then I am sorry and apologise

People have a genetic disposition to homosexuality. It is affected by the life you lead, but if two people lead exactly the same life, one will be more likely tha the other to be homosexual. It is not, in any way, an "emotional and psychologically driven behavioral disorder".

how was THIS connected with WCW?!?

Yeah, it's blatantly doctored. All the 8's are wrong. And so is that chick's jaw, but that's annother story for annother time. -
I disagree. Religion is a man-made institution, used to venerate a mythical being also created by man, and to control the masses and justify abhorrent behavior. As such, religion is responsible for the atrocities men commit in its name. Holy wars, which are basically "my god can beat up your god" disputes, are started because of religion, and religion bears those scars and pockmarks. Maybe, but the crusades would stil have occured even if they were of the same religion. The human/animal condition is to protect and expand your territory. However, our increased intellect means that we must find "excuses" for this, instead of just taking over. Race, religion, nationality, political differences. Personally, I believe that Christianity, and all other religions as far as I can see, are a result of pepole trying to understand things. thousands of years ago, people couldn't concieve how Earth and other celestial bodies were created, so they said "God created it". They didn't know how man was created, so they said "God created it". They didn't know what happened when we die, so they said "we go to Heaven". However, it has also been bastardised into a reason to persecute people by mankind which needs an excuse to hate other tribes. Its the same as all archaic religions, such as Norse or Roman religions, which are today widely believed to be untrue. I personally believe that these are as "realistic" as Christianity of Judaism. I don't wish to put down anybody's religion, but I don't understand the fundamental difference between Norse and Christian religion which makes one pecieved to be the truth by the vast majority of the Western world, while one is percieved as being bullshit. Other, of course, than the fact that the America's were colonised by Christians. Today, we have much more solid scientific theories as to how we and our surroundings came to be. So, as a result, it is far harder for the vast majority of people to have faith when there is nothing to convince them. I personally don't give a fuck as to whether there is a God or not. Either way, it doesn't affect the way I live my life. If there is a Heaven, I 've lived a good life and I'm going to it. And if I'm not allowed in by God because I'm not a Christian, or Jew or whatever, then thats not a God I particularly want to believe in.

39. In the storyline, Stiener is shagging Stacy. Even in a fantasy world Goldberg can't get laid. 40. There are over 200 reasons why Bossman is better than Goldberg. There are only around 164 reasons why Bossman is better than Steiner

Meh, I just like debating. I don't think anyone seriously thinks this thread is going to alter your religous beliefs.

Countdown to Smackdown being fucked

So, back on topic....... Hopefully, Vince will "fire" Steph from SD after they have a bust up over the whole Mr. America thing or something, and she'll, re-surface on Raw with HHH. At the moment, Steph is a face on SD, while HH is a heel on Raw. Either way, it's gonna take a lot of shenanigans to re-unite them as an on-screen couple in the near future. -
There are many layers like that in the Earths crust throughout geological history, but none that tie in with a global flood which destroyed all life. In fact, a 40 day flood like in the bible wouldn't be recorded in the Earths crust. Although, again, if you have a link, I would like to read it. Also, if the original bible specifically mentions giant lizards at the time it was written, well over a millenium before the first dinosaurs were recorded, I would be more inclined to believe it as truth. So, reference please if anyone has it.

Eh. I don't care if someone says he doesn't believe in evolution. That just means he's ignorant; evolution is a well-documented fact, not an article of faith. But I won't start a debate over it. If someone claims there's scientific evidence against the fact of evolution, however, or if someone claims that the Bible contains references to dinosaurs when I know damn well it doesn't since I've actually READ it, I will call him on the carpet. Because either he's stupid or he's a liar. Stupidity is the one crime that never goes unpunished and I just have a personal thing against liars. They annoy me. Evolution, as a process, over a long period of time is not fully understood. Much of what is believed is based upon differences at species or sub-species level. Evolution of seperate higher taxa or of important features is not fully understood, as it requires a leap of faith in genetics. So, pretty much what we are taught about that is based on half-truths and bullshit. For example, no-one really knows the method of origin of life. So yeah, its not really the truth, but is far more likely than creationism.

Goldberg's temper kills him again!

Hmmm, I think that Foley may do a Rock. By which i mean, come back, have HHH job to him (because he's established) then drop it to annother heel the next month and fuck off. MARK MY WORDS~! -
Hmmm, It's definately an aquired taste. I wouldn't really expect anyone else to like it. I still think that The Final Cut has a completely unique feel to it. It just sounds so desolate. And that's a damn good thing. It's better than the over-produced shit of The Wall, ar the prog-noodlings of the earlier stuff. The song The Final Cut is one of the most emotional songs I have ever heard. It's the sound of Roger slowly losing his mind.

So, does anyone else want to answer how conventional genetic, evolutionary, palaeontological and geological knowledge fits in with Christianity? Also, to any Christians, why are you Christians and not Jewish, Muslim, Hindu etc. Is there a particular reason, other than the environment you were brought up in?
-
So, Christianity DOES cause fighting....

I'm only responding once again, because I find this interesting. Once I noticed people were showing no respect to me or my religion, I left the thread. Anyway, I have a few different beliefs than many Christians. Not on anything major, just a few things here and there, and this is one of them. The Bible does speak of Dinos, and it also speaks of an "Earth age" which came BEFORE that which we know it today. I would get into specifics, or I'll dirrect you to a few places where you can get the materials to really study the subject. There's more in the Bible than non-believers think, some Christians as well. I have respect for anyone with faith, but I do not understand those with blind faith. However, anyone who lives by Christian teachings is living a better live than those who dismiss them. Where in the bible does it say this? I wouldn't mind reading it.

I've studied Palaeontology for the last four years. Any Christians wish to explain why the palaeontological and geological record completely contradicts all creationist theories. For example, if man was created by God in his image, what are the numerous fossils of "primitive man", such as Neanderthal man etc. When did dinosaurs live? I'd have thought that at some point in the bible, assuming that it records the whole history of the earth, someone would have said "By the way, God created these great big fucking lizards today called dinosaurs. They suck!" What about the various strata in sedimentary rocks or carbon dating? Please explain this to me, as I would very much like a valid reason to believe all geology is bollocks
