Songs are based up of music to at least some degree. You cant evaluate the guys song writing skills without the tune to go with it. I'm not saying that they're not lyrics, but written down they're just poetry. Nothing wrong with that though. And the second song is the most lyrically promising. The words have got natural rhythm to some degree. Have you ever recorded any of your own stuff dude? If you've got a voice, get it on cd!
