Sounds like another good Smackdown. But why must they turn their must over face heel? Why?
-
Neither Batista nor Orton seem like stars. Batista is another OVW hoss for whom the wardrobe department picks out nice suits, and Orton is just some generic-looking frat-boy sorta guy with no sort of compelling character. Bollocks to both. Who do you suggest they push? Batista seems over, Orton WAS over as a heel and can be again.

Jukebox looks like shit, but I've never been a Hogan mark. The Backlash extras look interesting and if I had any desire to watch Backlash in any setting other than a sportsbar I would get the webcast.

Batista will draw for a while, a few years, than fade away. Orton has a chance to a major player. When the Undertaker finally retires he so give the rub to Orton. Think about it Orton can go on about how on any other day he could beat Taker and challenge him to a 2/3 Falls rematch to prove that. Each man can be so sure that they will win that they put their careers on the line. So in the main event of Survivor Series they trade falls before Orton kicks out of a tombstone and hits the RKO for the victory. It's perfect Taker retires at the event he started his career for the WWE at and has a Mania record of 13-0, a number that suits his character. What this has to do with Batista, I don't know. He feels to me more like the next Kevin Nash, then the next big star. But I like the guy and he can have a good run at the top.

About the balding, when was the last time we had a wrestler in a full mask? Hmm...
-
I would LOVE to see Tito just maul Edge and destory his face as revenge for his sister.
-
Make the Old Championship his Million Dollar Championship and have him act like he is still the Champ or have him and Cena trade the title a few times. What I would love to see at SummerSlam would be a (face) Eddie vs JBL for the "WWE" Championship and Cena vs Christain in the SD main event. Although I would want X to walk out the champ, it seems as if Hassan might be doing that.

I like the idea with a new finisher, maybe a standing submission. Also JBL's Chief of Staff would be good as well. Its a shame that Austin buried him every 30 seconds when he was doing the Chief Morley gimmick, they could have had a good fued with Morley getting a couple in ring wins, that could have made Morley seem like a threat to the Champion.

Wrestling Moves you busted out In Real Fights
gWIL replied to I like Forums's topic in General Wrestling
I was in fight in middle school, it was me and a friend verus two ummq. I guess 'Gangsta's, so he Side Russian Leg Sweeps one of the guys and locks in an armbar. Meanwhile, I'm fighting a guy who has prolly 5 inches and 30-40 pounds and jump on his back and somehow manage to lock in a cobra clutch, so the fucker just jumps and squashes me but I manage to hold on until the fight got broken up. Then in 8th grade I did what was pretty much an FU, a fireman's carry while I was standing on some Jock. People still talk about that, although they use the incorrect term of bodyslam. -
But Christain will still end up looking like a jobber in the match, I hope he at least got better treatment than Orton did.
-
True, but they are damn talented... but I hope not.
-
God, I hope they don't edit over the Christain chants.

In all honesty, Taker/Orton was the draw for me, I couldn't order cause I was in Cancun, but that was the draw was for me. Then Taker won and I skipped all replays.

Tonight on Monday Night RAW from the United Kingdom, Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan, Batista and much more... Last week on Monday Night RAW, Christian told Mr. McMahon he would have no problem winning the WWE Championship if he were moved to SmackDown! during next month's momentous Draft Lottery. Well, Mr. McMahon told Christian he wouldn't have to wait that long to face a champion, placing Captain Charisma in a match against World Heavyweight Championship Batista, live this week on RAW from the United Kingdom. Will Christian prove his main-event worth when he takes on The Animal? Or will Batista make Christian another victim of his recent success? Watch RAW tonight on Spike TV (9/8 CT) to find out. Also this week on RAW, hear from WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan and his tag team partner for Backlash, Shawn Michaels. What will these two legends have in store for Muhammad Hassan and Daivari at Backlash? Watch RAW to learn more. Viscera did a favor for Trish Stratus last week when he took out Kane. "I do something for you and then you do something for me," Viscera said backstage afterwards. What exactly did Big Vis mean? Find out more on RAW when the Women's Champion and Viscera go out on the town. Plus, what could be the fallout after Jim Ross scored an improbable upset victory over Triple H last week thanks to some timely help from Batista? And what kind of shape will JR be in after the beating he took? Also, don't miss any final details regarding Backlash, which takes place live on pay-per-view on Sunday, May 1. Raw Preview seems to say no.

DDP's Smells Like Teen Spirit Ripoff.
-
Damn. Didn't see this one coming. Must have been the desire to see super heel JBL finally get his due.
-
Why the hell would they do that? They need some filler for the PPV.
-
Better yet, let's kill the division by having Christain and Tomko beat Regal/Tajiri in 4 minutes, have Maven cut a promo then get pinned in 30 seconds, the Heartthrobs get themselves DQed somehow, have them destroy La Rez and then beat Hurricane and Rosey in a few minutes. Christain>Tag Division. But seriously there are only 2 face teams?!
-
I don't mean to be rude, but my IQ is now ten points lower.
-
Isn't Taker like needing a new hip?

Pretty much WCW 2000 and on: 3 Count Norman Smiley The Cat Kronik Natural Born Thrillaz God, I miss WCW, I was able to take off my Smark googles when I watched them through 2000 and on. Most of the wrestling fans I know are marks and they all loved the Natural Born Thrillaz. If WCW could have stayed in one direction for more than 5 seconds it would still be alive, in my opinion.

Personally, I would have given Owen the title in the cage match and if Tyson/Austin happened, then again at Mania 14. But I'm an Owen mark. I loved the Booker T/Triple H match myself. Booker T has all this momentum going in and is an upstart challenger to an established champion but it turns out it was just a fluke, a flash in the pan. In my opinion it had the big match feel going for it more than any other on the show. If it wasn't Triple H (whom I am no fan of) and the fued didn't have racist undertones it would be thought of in a more positive light. Oh, and JBL rules and deserves a second run. Since that won't happen soon enough make the old WWE Championship his Million Dollar Championship and have him act like its the real World title and defend in the semi main events of PPVs. JBL had the best heel title reign of anyone in ages. Randy Orton would have been a good champion if booked right, as a heel he had a large number of fans, I remember the crowd (in Canada) popping when he beat Benoit. I would have kept him as the cocky arrogant heel who becomes a face very slowly because the fans like him so much and as a face he still does the exact same stuff. Hell from Backlash to the Raw after Summerslam (Thumbs Down Segment) I was an Orton mark and was enjoying his work, I order Summerslam just to see Benoit's abortion of a title reign get its mercy killing (Not Benoit's fault, more of the creative team's fault.)

Here's a random "this day in WWF history" thread
gWIL replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
WWF @ Notre Dame, IN - April 22, 1999 Owen Hart & Jeff Jarrett defeated Christian & Edge WWF Hardcore Champion Bob Holly defeated Val Venis The Acolytes defeated DOA Kane pinned Mideon D-Lo Brown & Ivory defeated Al Snow & Tori Billy Gunn pinned Darren Drozdov Road Dogg & the Big Show defeated Triple H & the Rock WWF IC Champion the Godfather defeated Goldust I was there! Crappy, but fun show, the original card was MUCH better, don't remember what it was but it was better, but it got pushed back because of snow several times. The main event (Road Dogg and Show vs HHH and Rock) always bugged me because I thought it should have been The Outlaws vs HHH and The Rock. Godfather got the most heat because he didn't have his hos with him, he said that the pope wouldn't let them in. This was also the show that I believe got WWF/E barred from Notre Dame due to profanity use by Road Dogg. "You can throw beer on me, but I can't use profanity, fuck that!" Huge Pop. The show a year before had been better but this one was okay, I remember really liking Hart and Jarrett vs Christain and Edge. Can't believe this was so long ago. -
Every match having a short hype video would be okay by me, they aren't that long and they make people far more interested in the matches.
-
Christain was the highlight of the night for me, as he often is, but is he doing at Backlash? It would suck if he didn't get a match. Hell, it looks as if Vis is getting a match.
