Madden, NFL Head Coach, and NCAA Football 2009
Urban Warfare replied to Matt Young's topic in Video Games
More on the issue.. From the IGN boards Also, there is a rumor that PastaPadre's rosters were made by EA given the fact that some players have attributes that can not be edited by a normal user (hyphenated names, etc.) -
Madden, NFL Head Coach, and NCAA Football 2009

Apparently South Florida was omitted as well. I mean, honestly, who cares about FAU and FIU, but to leave pretty decent schools like Wyoming or South Florida out of the game is pretty inexcusable. However, I've read that the teams disappearing is a fucked up glitch that ties in with downloading the rosters or editing them and it causes the game to freeze continuously. And the more I read over on the IGN forums, the more glitches I'm hearing about. This could get real ugly for EA. -

I'll take Florida again. -
Bored, I know it's still pretty early, but I was just wondering if you will be doing to College Pick 'Em again this year, and if so, when the signups and such will be. Thanks.

I'm not sure how many of you are aware of probably the best feature maybe ever added to NCAA Football and that is the new EA Locker feature. Basically what the locker does is gives you the ability to download files (yes, rosters) from any user on Xbox Live regardless of if you are their friend or not. I know of at least one gamertag that will have the file up on the release date. -
Does anyone know if Blizzard will take a similar path with III as they did with WoW, and charge monthly for online play?

I'm absolutely jacked. It looks amazing so far, I really hope Sorceress is still in the game.

Madden, NFL Head Coach, and NCAA Football 2009

I like the demo alot. I'm not sure if anyone else saw this, but I threw a interception and I was given three photographs with three possible coverages the defense ran. If I guessed the coverage correctly, my QBs composure would go up. Overall the game looks much sharper than last year. -
I'm somewhat excited about it. I've checked out some of the Mission: Metallica shit they have on YouTube, and a couple of the demo snippets that play sound like pure Kill 'Em All-era shit. I'm looking forward to at least seeing if the songs are even, you know, decent rock as opposed to decent metal. Yeah, I've been following those clips as well and I've been pleasantly surprised with it thus far. And according to some reviews from a listening party, the songs on the album are structured much like those on Justice.

Mission Metallica is Metallica's preview site for the New album. Really cool, and is the only video that hasn't been taken down by most users. The full site (with new song previews) is supposed to be up by tomorrow.

According to Wiki, the setlist is: "Aces High" (From Powerslave, 1984) "2 Minutes to Midnight" (From Powerslave, 1984) "Revelations" (From Piece of Mind, 1983) "The Trooper" (From Piece of Mind, 1983) "Wasted Years" (From Somewhere in Time, 1986) "The Number of The Beast" (From The Number of the Beast, 1982) "Can I Play with Madness" (From Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, 1988) "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" (From Powerslave, 1984) "Powerslave" (From Powerslave, 1984) "Heaven Can Wait" (From Somewhere in Time, 1986) "Run to the Hills" (From The Number of the Beast, 1982) "Fear of The Dark" (From Fear of The Dark, 1992) "Iron Maiden" (From Iron Maiden, 1980) "Moonchild" (From Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, 1988) "The Clairvoyant" (From Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, 1988) "Hallowed Be Thy Name" (From The Number of the Beast, 1982) Absolutely amazing set, I can't wait until June.

I picked up floor tickets to Iron Maiden's Calgary show today. My friend went on a minute after I did, and tickets were completely sold out.

I thought it was a little odd that both Harold Perrineau and John Terry's names appeared in the opening credits yet neither appeared in the episode.

So Tebow has a broken right hand, and played the majority of the second half yesterday with it. I wonder how or if this might affect his chances for the Heisman. Should still be good for the bowl game from what I read.
-
I don't want to come off as a homer or anything, but I'm really at a loss for words as to why people are still doubting Tebow as the clear Heisman winner at this point. The big knock on him seems to be that Florida has three losses. However, in two of those three losses he was still the best player on the field for Florida (with the exception of the Georgia loss, where he was injured.) The guy has put up FIFTY ONE touchdowns to go along with nearly 2,900 yards passing, and 800 yards rushing in the toughest conference in the country. No Heisman winner EVER has put up these kind of numbers. I think in the end McFadden will win the voters over with his performance yesterday and the fact that he is a Junior while Tebow is a Sophomore.
-
Here's hoping Tebow can ice the Heisman this weekend against FSU. FSU linebacker Geno Hayes said Tebow was "going down" so it should be a very interesting game.
-
Extremely disappointing effort today from Florida. They had numerous chances to take control of the game but continuously shot themselves in the foot with mistakes, penalties and worst of all, sacks. I thought Tebow played very well (after a shaky first half) given the circumstances of his injury (I think he was playing around 60-65%) but didn't get a whole lot of help from his line. This loss probably eliminates him from Heisman contention, but I still feel he's the best player in the country right now.
-
Absolutely unbelievable.
-
Let's run a play we lost 5 yards on two plays ago on fourth and 2. Ok, Urban.
-
Pathetic
-
Tebow is not playing well so far. Clearly the shoulder is bothering him alot more than most people thought. Still in the game though, hopefully the playcalling, dumb penalties and mistakes stop in the second half.
-
This is insane. Tack on 15 for the dive though...
-
Tebow looks really off today. He is just standing in the pocket, waiting for something to happen rather than his usual scrambling to make plays. If Georgia scores on this drive, this could get ugly. Real bonehead call by Meyer with that stupidity of flanking Tebow as a receiver.
-
Cute little stunt by Georgia but pretty fucking stupid at the same time. Tebow comes right back and ties the game, let's see how the next drive goes. Should be a very entertaining game. Edit: Unbelivable...
-
I really have no idea what is going on with Florida's coaching lately. The past two games, it's been mind blowingly bad playcalling, and silly decisions (waiting 30+ seconds to call a timeout, WTF?) I think Meyer got very cocky thinking the defense would stop LSU, but even still, complete bone head decision. I think Florida should have won this game by two touchdowns or more. The fumble by Moore was costly, but once again, conservative ass playcalling costs Florida a huge game. I think Florida loses probably one, maybe two more games before the season's out. Hats off to LSU though, I think they win the national championship with ease at this point. They've got a few teams that could give them some trouble, but this game showed their character and congrats to them. Great game tonight.
