  1. Cincinnati Kelly's Killers select...
  2. btw I'm going to the A's-Phillies game in June. I'll be there to remind Bobby Abreu that he's not an All-Star.
  3. They're shitty. They need to start bunting more and realize the intagibles Joe McEw...I mean Marco Scutaro has.
  4. You know we haven't had a true buzzer beater in the tournament...yet. Wow what a horrible possesion to end it.
  5. You've got to be kidding.
  6. Actually I did that back in Round 7 with Albert Pujols who debuted a year after Santana.
  7. I could really go anywhere with this pick. But this pick crossed my mind the last couple of rounds. I have an idea to use this guy as my primary set-up man as before last year he split time between being a starter and a reliever. Cincinatti Kelly's Killers select...
  8. With the first pick of the second round the San Francisco 49ers select... David Bass, Guard, from the University of Michigan
  9. You know not everyone who uses steroids gets cancer or does every professional athlete who did get cancer got it because they used steroids. Hell even Lyle Alzado's cancer wasn't caused by steroids, even though he believed they did but there was no evidence to support it.
  10. So instead of up to the second updates of pointless Bonds' at bats this year is ESPN going to break into reports on his rehab?

  12. "The Clear" is not a cream, it's the steroid THG that's taken orally and yes it can help build muscle mass.
  13. I believe Al said in extreme cases he won't use a player's best year.
  14. I think some get McGwire and Bonds mixed up. McGwire has only been alledged to have used steroids (even in the FBI report there was no evidence collected) but Bonds is on record as confessing to "unknowingly" using steriods. Also in the BALCO case there is a long paper trail as they documented everything they gave to athletes. 2GOLD, the cream and the clear were steroids, Bonds just said he didn't know they were.

  17. Awww how could they fire him after calling Carlos Boozer a cunt? http://cavaliers.mostvaluablenetwork.com/ C U Next Tuesday, I have to use that some time.
  18. Wrong. Again it's the word of another less than credible source, a rat drug dealer, who alledges he gave McGwire steriods. It's disgusting the way ESPN and the media pretty much portrayed this as 100% factual evidence that McGwire took steroids.
  19. I wasn't even thinking of taking this guy but he's apparantly locked up a bullpen spot and Billy Beane just compared him to Dennis Eckersley. Probably bullshit but what the hell, it is a keeper league. Rebels of Oakland select...
  20. Fun fact, since the tournament expanded to 64 teams in 1985, coming into this year, #10 seed beat the #7 seed 40% of the time (32-48). But when the #10 seed has played the #2 seed in the second round they have won 44.8% of the time (13-16). It's strange as even though the #7 seed advances 60% of the time in the first round they only beat the #2 seed 25.5% of the time (12-35), although West Virginia did pull it off last night.
  21. Looks like the West Region (screw this naming after the city crap) will be decided in the Sweet 16 with the Washington vs. Louisville/Georgia Tech match-up. Hard to imagine Texas Tech or West Virginia in the Final Four.
  22. Call me crazy but I think Mississippi State might pull off the upset. They are finally at full strength.
  23. I'll always hate Alomar just because I had to see Game 4 of the 1992 ALCS live in person and pretty much end that series. Here's a breakdown of what Alomar did with the Padres, Blue Jays, Orioles, and Indians who he all played at least three years with. San Diego: .283/.339/.379, 448 G, 1754 AB, 246 R, 497 H, 78 2b, 12 3b, 22 HR, 157 RBI, 148 BB, 231 K, 90 SB, 104 OPS+ Toronto: .307/.382/.451, 703 G, 2706 AB, 451 R, 832 H, 152 2b, 36 3b, 55 HR, 342 RBI, 322 BB, 291 K, 206 SB, 122 OPS+ Baltimore: .312/.382/.480, 412 G, 1588 AB, 282 R, 496 H, 102 2b, 7 3b, 50 HR, 210 RBI, 189 BB, 178 K, 44 Sb, 123 OPS+ Cleveland: .323/.405/.515, 471 G, 1748 Ab, 362 R, 564 H, 114 2b, 17 3b, 63 HR, 309 RBI, 243 BB, 249 K, 106 SB, 133 OPS+ There's definently an argument for him going in as an Indian since he was at his best there but Toronto was the only team he was with for more than three years. Playing on two World Champions there and having the biggest moment of his career (Game 4, '92 ALCS) I think will definently put him in as a Blue Jay by the voters.
