    OAOAST HeldDOWN~! 9/16/04

COLE Yes, coming up next the Round Robin Tournament continues with a match-up between two men who are certainly no strangers to one another. Drek Stone and Leon Rodez go one on one once more, in a rematch from AngleSlam...and there's a lot of unfinished business left over from London 'Boose. CABOOSE I don't see why. Drek beat Leon, end of story. This is just a replay for those who missed AngleSlam as far as I'm concerned. COLE Well, Drek cheated to win... CABOOSE Phfooey. Drek won by whatever means he needed to. That's all that mattered. COACH He has a point. CABOOSE Shut up, you. COLE ...in any event, this is a part of the Round Robin Tournament of course. A pinfall victory gives you 2 points, submissions get you 3, a countout or DQ victory wins you a point...draws and losses get you 0 points, so winning is the name of the game in this one. CABOOSE By whatever means you need to. COLE So, you expect Drek to cheat again then. CABOOSE As long as he wins, it doesn't matter. COACH And keep in mind - this will all determine who will be getting a World Heavyweight Title shot at our Pay-Per-View in November. COLE The stakes are certainly high for these six men. And now, it's time to finally kick things off. Let's get down to the ring. *DING DING* BUFFER Ladies and gentlemen, this following contest is part of the OAOAST ROUND-ROBIN TOURNAMENT... and it is scheduled for one fall! .:CUE "Woke Up This Morning" by A3:. "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" The crowd instantly begin jeering as Drek Stone bursts through the curtains, grinning from ear to ear as he strides down the aisle with his hands held aloft in the air. The fans hurl abuse at him on the way down, but Drek simply turns his nose up at each and every person he passes...still grinning away as he reaches the ring and stops, awaiting his introduction. BUFFER Introducing first at this time. From Naples, Italy...but hailing from Brooklyn, New York. He weighs two hundred and thirty five pounds. The former OAOAST Italian Champion. He is "RECKLESS"... DRRREEEEEEEEEEEEK STOOOOOOONNEEEEEEEE!!! The crowd breaks into jeers, as Drek enters the ring and pounds his chest... *BOOM!* ...as fireworks burts from each cornerpost. Another smile adorns Drek's face, as he turns to the entrance way and beckons on his opponent. .:CUE: "You Sexy Thing" by Hot Chocolate:. And he needn't wait long, as the music hits and Leon Rodez emerges through the curtains. No robe, no smile, Rodez has an angry look on his face as he stops on the stage and points an accusing finger towards Drek. "I believe in miracles... Where ya from? You sexy thing (You sexy thing, you) I believe in miracles... Since ya came alooooong You sexy thing (WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!)" BUFFER "And his opponent...fro...WOAH!" Suddenly, Buffer is forced to run for the hills as Rodez breaks into a sprint...sliding into the ring at full pelt and taking an unprepared Drek down with a spear! *DING DING DING!* The bell rings, as Rodez mounts Drek and starts to offload with a flurry of right hands! Desperately Drek covers up, but Rodez begins to alternate between left hands and rights as he tries to find the gaps in the guard. Referee Charles Robinson tries to interject himself in, to pull Rodez away. But Rodez pushes him off to continue the battering. COLE What an offensive start from Leon Rodez! CABOOSE I agree...this is offensive! I'm offended, that's for sure! Finally Rodez gives Drek a reprieve and gets back to his feet. Dazed and confused, Drek staggers to his feet. But just as he does, Rodez charges and nails a clothesline. Drek gets right back up, as Rodez hits the ropes and takes Drek down with a second clothesline. Again Drek is quickly up. But all he can do is swing wildly with punches, hitting nothing but thin air. Rodez stops and grins as he watches Drek make a fool of himself...before dropkicking Drek, hard enough to send him crashing back into a seated position in the corner. "LEON! LEON! LEON!" With the crowd solidly behind him, Rodez takes a backstep...before charging towards Drek. Drek sees it coming but can't move out of the way in time, as Rodez launches forward and drives his knee into the side of Drek's face! COACH Boy, he noggined him there...right in the noggin. Drek slumps back against the bottom turnbuckle, as Rodez grabs Stone by the leg and pulls him away from the corner. With a smile out to the crowd, Leon cups his hand to his ear, which is greeted by cheers. Mainly female cheers. Turning to the left, Leon cups his ear again to the same reaction...before backing off the ropes, and hitting a legdrop on Drek, quickly spinning around into a cover. ONE! TWO! ...two only! Rodez grabs Drek under the head and begins to pick him back up, but takes a forearm deep into the gut. Rodez doubles over, as quickly Drek reaches up and catches Rodez with an uppercut, staggering him backwards and into the ropes. But Leon uses them as a 'bounceback', doing just that and taking Drek down with a clothesline. This time Drek stays down, but only until Rodez pulls him back up. Quickly Rodez scoops Drek up and plants him with a slam, showing surprising strength in doing so. Again Drek remains down, as Rodez bounces off the ropes and leaps into the air... ...but misses a running senton, as Drek rolls out of the way. Leon hits the back of his head hard and immediately grabs at it, as Drek shakes off the cobwebs and lands a couple of stomps to the fallen opponent. COLE Drek with his first burst of offense here really, and it comes from a Rodez mistake. Which could be a costly mistake. A bad start in this Round Robin instantly puts you under big-time pressure from there on. CABOOSE Exactly. I mean, there's more to this than just 'Drek vs. Leon- The Rematch'. Grabbing Rodez by the hair, Drek hauls up 'The New Age Love Machine' and quickly peppers him with a couple of quick jabs, before throwing him face first into top turnbuckle. Rodez bounces back, grabbing his face in pain, as Drek lines up Rodez and nails a right hand. Another connects, and then a third, before Drek grabs Rodez by the arm and whips him into the ropes. He hits them, coming back into a big powerslam from Drek who quickly hooks the leg... ONE! TWO! Kickout. Drek points the finger at Robinson, before pulling Rodez back up to his knees. A quick knee connects, before Drek runs off the ropes. Coming back, he looks to boot Rodez right in the head... ...but Rodez ducks, so Drek runs on and hits the opposite ropes. This time Drek looks to hit a clothesline, but again Rodez ducks. So this time, Stone stops in his tracks and waits for Rodez to turn around before punting him HARD in the right kneecap. Letting out a wail of pain, Rodez drops to one knee. Quickly Drek capitalises and locks on a front facelock on Rodez, quickly raises a knee into the chest of Rodez. He gets back to his feet, still in the facelock. But Drek again kicks at the right knee, before falling back and spiking Rodez with a DDT. CABOOSE Drek's doing it. Drek's doing it right now! Rodez lands up in a seated position, only for Drek to pull him violently down onto his back with a choke locked on. Immediately Leon tries to struggle free, as Robinson begins a five count...getting to four, before Drek breaks and gets back to his feet. Coughing and spluttering, Rodez begins to try and get back to his feet. But as he does, Drek grabs him and manouvers him into the corner... *SLAP!* "WHOOOO!" For a stinging knifedge chop. Rodez clasps at his burning chest, as Drek stops for a moment to hold his arms out for the booing crowd. While he does though, Rodez shakes off the pain and grabs Drek, whipping him around into the corner... *SLAP!* "WHOOOO!" *SLAP!* "WHOOOO!" *SLAP!* "WHOOOO!" *SLAP!* "WHOOOO!" For a flurry of stinging chops. Drek quivers in the corner, his chest beat red, as Rodez turns away...AND DOES THE STRUT~! The crowd go banana, as Rodez grins from ear to ear and begins to soak up the adulation of the fans. COLE I guess Leon's got the DVD too. COACH Who hasn't. Drek grits his teeth through the stinging pain and strides out of the corner. But out of the corner of his eye, Rodez sees Drek coming and pops him with a back elbow to the jaw. Drek staggers back, before moving back forward into a second elbow. But a third is ducked by Drek, who nails his own back elbow which drops Rodez. Again Leon is left clutching his jaw, as Drek takes a moment to compose himself. Up clambers Leon, getting grabbed by Drek on the way and clubbed across the shoulder blades with a forearm. That weakens Leon enough for Drek to hook his man up for a vertical suplex. But Leon floats over the back of Drek, before grabbing The Reckless One and whipping him into the corner. Drek hits the turnbuckles HARD, stumbling out and into a sleeperhold from Leon! "YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!" COLE Sleeper! Sleeper by Rodez, and he's going for the win right here! COACH Yeah, but how many points does he get if Drek goes out? COLE Well...I'd assume it'd come under a submission, which is three points. So this is a doubly wise move from Rodez! CABOOSE Yeah, but he's got to put Drek out first. Sensing he's in trouble, Drek starts to frantically reach for the ropes and the break. But Rodez clings onto the hold, preventing Drek from reaching the ropes as he's about half an arm's length away from grabbing the top strand. So instead, Drek tries to turn into the move...and does so, turning so that Rodez now has on a modified side headlock. From there, he manages to push Rodez off and into the ropes. Hitting the ropes at high speed, Rodez comes back towards Drek, who sidesteps the on-rushing opponent. Unable to stop himself, Rodez goes flying over the top rope...but grabs it on the way over, and begins to skin the cat. As he does, Drek stumbles over and stands by Rodez, sot hat as he comes over the top rope, he lands over Drek's shoulder. With Rodez over his shoulder, Drek has a smile on his face as he charges towards the corner. Until that is Leon slips off the shoulder, landing behind Drek. The bemused former Italian Champion stops and wheels around, but gets caught with a boot to the gut and a quick DDT, planting him on his nicely preened hair! Quickly Rodez rolls over, hooking the leg and making the cover. ONE! TWO! TH... TWOOO! COLE Man, Leon nearly had him there! CABOOSE From a DDT? This isn't 1988 Mickey. With the energy flowing through his veins, Rodez pops right back up and motions for Drek to do the same. Slowly he does, turning around with little idea as to where he is. Rodez quickly grabs him around the waist, looking for a belly to belly. But quick as a flash, Drek goes to the knee with a sharp kick which forces Rodez to back off and attend to his surgically repaired leg. Meanwhile, Drek brushes past Rodez and lines up the leg for a kick... ...which Rodez hurdles... ...only to land awkwardly on the leg! "AARGH!" He lets out a wail of pain and grabs his knee again, as Drek applauds mockingly. CABOOSE Now this is brilliant strategy. Working on the surgically repaired knee...and that sets Rodez up for a submission, which'll earn Drek his first 3 points. With Rodez still attending to his leg, Drek has time to hit the ropes again, coming back this time with a chopblock which launches Rodez into the air and brings him back down in a neck-crunchingly awkward position. Drek is still grinning widely, as he moves in on Leon and grabs him by the ankle. Picking up the leg, Drek leaps into the air before DRIVING Leon's knee into the mat, with force! Leon grabs his knee in anguish, as Drek again holds his arms in the air cockily. "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!" CABOOSE Drek has this one in the bag, I'm certain of it. COLE Didn't you say that at this sort of time at AngleSlam too? CABOOSE Yeah. And Drek won. COLE ... COACH Touché! Desperately Rodez tries to pull himself back to his feet, but can only put weight on his left leg. Drek quickly moves in and smashes Rodez across the chest with a forearm, before dropping to all fours. Like a well-trained Olympian, Rodez shoots for the leg and succeeds in wrenching Rodez to the mat. Just as quickly though, Leon turns onto his front and rolls away...sending Drek, who had been clinging onto the foot, flying across the ring. He rolls through, getting back to his feet as Rodez tries to do the same. But Drek is in better condition, and manages to hit some Sweet Shin Music on Leon, to drop him back to the mat. Again Leon grabs at his leg, as this time Drek moves back in and begins to stomp away on the leg. "DREK'S A WAN - KER!" *CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP* "DREK'S A WAN - KER!" *CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP* Hearing the chants of the crowd, Stone sneers and gives them the 'up yours' hand gesture, before kicking Leon ruthlessly in the knee. COLE It's just like being in London again for Drek with this chant! CABOOSE Well, Australia is just a home for England's convicts anyway, so it's not that surprising. Grabbing a handful of Rodez's hair, Drek takes his time about dragging him to his feet...all the while, the chants getting louder and louder. Drek takes a moment to tell them to quieten down, before hooking Rodez up for a kneebreaker. Getting Leon up, Drek stops for a moment to taunt the crowd, keeping Rodez lifted up in the air. But he holds Leon too long and eventually Leon squirms free, sliding over the back of Drek and taking him over with a sunset flip... ONE! TWO! ...KICKOUT! Drek pushes out, rolling through and up to his feet. Quickly he charges in and stomps down on the still seated Rodez's knee, before shoving him onto his back and grabbing the leg. Before he can do anything more though, Rodez quickly scrambles away from danger. Not far enough though, as Drek moves right back in...grabbing hold of the leg and pulling Rodez back into the center of the ring before twisting around the leg... ...but Rodez counters the figure four attempt into a small package! ONE! TWO! NO! COLE Man that was close! Slightly shocked, Drek gets back up and waits for Rodez to do the same before charging in. Despite only being able to put weight on one leg Rodez manages to catch Drek coming with a clothesline! Drek pops right back up, charging in again but this time getting back body dropped! COLE And now, Rodez is fighting back! Again Drek gets up, this time getting popped in the jaw with a jab! And another jab! A third jab! A fourth jab! ...but Drek blocks the fifth, before hitting a quick dropkick to the knee! Down goes Rodez, crumpling to the mat as Drek stumbles to his feet and shakes his head with a wry smile. CABOOSE So much for the fightback Mickey boy. Can you say...deja vú? COLE Well, hopefully this time there'll be no deja vú, and Charles Robinson will be watching for Drek's underhanded tactics. "DREK'S A WAN - KER!" *CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP* "DREK'S A WAN - KER!" *CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP* Up goes the chant again, infuriating Drek to the point of him flipping off the crowd...which only increases the volume. So Drek goes back to work on Rodez, picking him up from the mat and hitting a stiff forearm strike across the jaw of 'The New Age Love Machine'. Feeling his legs weaken underneath him, Rodez desperately lunges for Drek. But he ducks the flailing arms, hitting a knee to the gut on the way, before quickly hooking Rodez up for a suplex. As he does, Drek hooks Rodez's right leg with the head, lifting him Rodez up...before dropping him straight south, right onto the hooked knee! COLE Fisherman's kneebreaker!?! CABOOSE Beautiful move. Man, Drek just gets better and better. With his opponent curled up on the mat, grasping at his knee, Drek takes the opportunity to take a very brief breather. And the opportunity to check his hair as he appears on the Tron. Meanwhile, Rodez is clambering up to his feet. So Stone breaks away from his hair and moves in on Rodez again, pulling him up from the mat and hitting a quick snap suplex...floating over after it. But suddenly Drek stops, hesitating over whever to make a cover, and eventually deciding against it, instead grabbing Rodez by the leg. Giving the signal for the figure four, Drek spins around the leg again. This time though, Leon plants a foot into Drek's posterior and pushes him off. Drek hits the ropes, but as he comes back he grabs Rodez's foot once more, rolling through with a hold of the leg and eventually landing in position to lock on an ankle lock! COACH Woah! Drek may have it here guys! Quickly Drek clamps the hold on and screams with intensity as he wrenches away on the ankle...but sure enough, Rodez is quick to counter as he rolls through, sending Drek tumbling forward with him. COACH Well...I was wrong. Again. CABOOSE Yes, you do suck. C'Mon Drek! Drek rolls back to his feet as Rodez pulls himself back up at the same time, with Drek quickest to react by hitting a boot to the gut. Rodez doubles over, as suddenly Drek calls out that it's 'all over' and hooks Rodez up for the StoneCutter... ...but Rodez backdrops out of it! "YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHH!" Angrily Drek clambers back to his feet, before charging and swinging with a wild clothesline which Rodez easily ducks. Drek spins back around, only to get the slobber knocked from his mouth with a stinging right hand! Concerned with his pretty face Drek holds his jaw, as Rodez quickly grabs Drek by the arm and whips him into the ropes. Rebounding, Drek is able to duck a back elbow attempt from Rodez before coming back... *SMACK!* ...STRAIGHT INTO A SUPERKICK! COACH KAY OOOOOHHH! Drek stops from the kick...before s l o w l y falling backwards with his eyes rolled back into his head. Rodez is meanwhile attending to his right leg. But upon seeing Drek down and out, Rodez guts it out and pounces on Drek for the cover. ONE! TWO! KICKOUT! "OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH!!" Despite Drek's kickout, Rodez still has the advantage and looks to build on it by mounting Drek and going back to offloading with rights and lefts. Again Drek tries in vain to cover up as the punches rain down on him, but this time Leon lets up quicker than the beginning of the match and fires up the crowd, who are right behind him. COLE The Australian crowd are right behind Leon Rodez here, mate! CABOOSE ... Drek pulls himself up on the ropes, with a small trickle of dark red blood running from his nose. But he doesn't seem concerned with that as he staggers over to Rodez...who avoids a right hand and hits an inverted atomic drop on Drek! Drek holds his...'region', as Rodez steps closer to Drek and underhooks both of The Reckless One's arms, ready for the Tiger Driver. Drek is prepared though, unhooking one arm and spinning behind Rodez who quickly turns around. He's met with a boot to the gut though, before getting picked quickly up into powerbomb position. Backing up, Drek continues in reverse until he feels the turnbuckles against his back before breaking into a run. Trouble is, there's no Leon Rodez going with him, as he grabs the top rope and escapes Drek. Quickly "Reckless" realises what's missing and turns back around, charging at Rodez who is on the middle rope. Only to run head-long into his left boot. Down goes Drek, as suddenly Rodez steps from the middle rope to the top, launching off the ropes and rotating through 360...no, 450 degrees... ...AND HITTING THE BECAUSE THE LADY LOVES! "YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" COLE WOAH...he hit it! This one's over guys! The crowd erupt, as Rodez hurriedly hooks the leg and makes the cover... ONE! TWO! THREEEEE NOOOOOO!!! COLE What!?! The referee, despite slapping the mat for the third time, calls off the fall as he notices Drek's right leg draped over the top rope! Which is a surprise to Rodez, who had already gotten up to celebrate his victory. CABOOSE Well, thank god Charles Robinson was alert to Drek touching the ropes this time, eh Cole? COLE Yeah, right. Rodez, realizing that his music isn’t blasting over the loudspeakers, starts to come to the slow realization that he hasn’t won the match yet. His suspicions are confirmed by the referee and the two fingers that he’s holding up for the crowd. Not wanting to lose an advantage, Leon walks over towards Drek, who is trying to will himself off the ground. He gets on his hands and knees, but is quickly brought back down by Leon Rodez, who rolls him up in an Oklahoma Roll. The fans start screaming as Leon pins Drek’s shoulders to the mat with his legs. ONE….. TWO…. KICKOUT! COLE I thought Leon Rodez had Drek Stone that time! CABOOSE Now we have Leon Rodez trying to steal this win with an Oklahoma roll! As if Oklahoma wasn’t bad enough before! Following the Oklahoma Roll, Drek immediately rises back to his feet, clearly gasping for reassuring air after the two close near-falls. Leon, refusing to relent on the attack, limps towards Drek and gives him a kick to the midsection……but Drek catches his feet. Leon quickly lifts his injured leg over the head of Drek, trying to hit him with an enziguiri kick. But Drek ducks the enziguiri, letting Leon’s leg fall back to the ground. He quickly levels in a NASTY kick to the back of that injured leg. The force of the kick sends Leon backflipping onto the mat on his chest. COACH What a kick! I wouldn’t be surprised if he tore Leon’s muscle right there! CABOOSE You thought Owen Hart had it mastered before? Drek Stone is the MASTER of kicking people’s legs right out of their…..uh…..legs. Right after the vicious kick, Leon quickly clutches at his injured leg, giving Drek the opportunity to finally breathe and calm himself down. He slowly walks himself over to the corner post and scales up to the middle turnbuckle. Once there, he sits on the top, and waits for Rodez to make his way back up. “LET’S GO LEON!” *CLAP! CLAP! CLAP CLAP CLAP!* “LET’S GO LEON!” *CLAP! CLAP! CLAP CLAP CLAP!* Leon finally begins to stir himself off the ground and, after struggling mightily to put some weight back on his leg, is able to move back to his feet. This is Drek’s cue to stand up on the middle turnbuckle and brace himself for his attack. He jumps off…..and hits a MISSILE DROPKICK INTO THE KNEE OF LEON RODEZ. The fans gasp as Leon literally crumbles down to the mat, his knee practically collapsing along with him. With a scream of pain, Leon clutches at his leg and starts to roll around the mat. COLE This is certainly not boding well for Leon Rodez anymore. CABOOSE Of course not! Don’t you realize who he’s facing?! Drek Stone beat him once – and he’s going to beat him again! With encouraging chants, the crowd does their best to get Leon back onto his feet. Meanwhile, Drek stands at a nearby turnbuckle, looking ready to swoop in for the kill. Once Rodez, after taking a few moments to summon the strength to get up, moves back to his feet, Drek charges at him, looking ready to hit a brutal clothesline…. …..but Rodez catches him off-guard with a one-legged dropkick! COLE Leon just used his strong leg to send Drek Stone off-balance! Drek wobbles towards the turnbuckle he was just standing near. Rodez does his best to make it back to a standing position as quickly as possible. Drek tries to move out of the corner, but Rodez quickly levels him with a spinning heel kick, sending him back into the turnbuckle. COACH Leon is obviously nursing that knee, but he is much too determined here to let that stop him! The force of the kick sends Leon to one knee, but he quickly attempts to get back up to both feet. Drek, noticeably dazed from Leon’s sudden strikes, starts to stagger out of the corner once again. But Leon steps back, takes a second to calculate his position…. ……and hits Drek with an absolutely VICIOUS European uppercut, sending him into the corner with a hard bounce. Leon walks over to Drek, who is merely using the corner to prop himself up from falling to the mat. Rodez jumps up and hooks Drek, ready to bring him down with a monkey flip. But Drek, almost instinctively, clutches onto the ropes to keep Rodez from bringing him down to the mat. Leon, sensing that he isn’t going to be able to hit that monkey flip after all, uses his athleticism to jump over Drek’s body and land on the top rope. The reverberations of the move sends shooting pains down his leg, becoming a clear reminder that his knee is nowhere near 100%. COLE That move could cost Leon Rodez. CABOOSE Could?! I think it did. Look at Drek! Sure enough, Drek seems to have anticipated that Leon was going to jump onto the top rope. With Leon’s back now facing Stone, Drek takes this opportunity to clasp Leon’s arms behind him in a full-nelson position. CABOOSE This is it! COLE He couldn’t possibly be going for this! CABOOSE Oh, I’m sure he is. Folks, get ready to watch some destruction here. Top-Rope Recker! Drek FORCEFULLY pulls Leon off of the top turnbuckle… …..but Leon manages to stay on by wrapping his legs around the corner post! The fans gasp a sigh of relief, but that relief is short-lived as Drek attempts the move once again. Stone POWERFULLY tries to pull Leon away from the corner with a Dragon Suplex….. ….but Leon holds on yet again! The fans start screaming Leon’s name as Drek curses to himself in a fit of frustration. Realizing that this isn’t going to work either, he settles for simply dragging Leon away from the turnbuckle with his arms locked behind his head. COLE Look at the rugged determination that Leon Rodez is showing here! CABOOSE Oh, he’s determined all right……determined to only prolong the inevitable. He doesn’t want a Recker from the top rope? Fine. Drek will just give him a regular one instead! Drek successfully pulls Leon off of the corner post, planting his feet onto the mat. Drek yanks Leon near the middle of the ring, with Rodez’s arms still locked behind him in the Full-Nelson position. Trying to muster up as much strength as he can, Drek takes a moment before FINALLY LIFTING LEON UP FOR THE RECKER….. …..but, in the process, Leon wraps his legs around the waist of Drek Stone. Drek breaks the hold immediately, choosing instead to unwrap Leon’s legs from around his body. This gives Rodez the opportunity to fall forward and wrap Drek Stone in a victory roll! The referee drops down to make the count! ONE….. TWO…. THREE!!!!! *DING! DING! DING!* The fans explode with a roar as “You Sexy Thing” begins to blast from the loudspeakers. Drek quickly sits up on the mat with an absolute look of shock, as Leon rolls out of the ring to celebrate his victory on-the-go. CABOOSE Oh no! This is impossible! COACH That’s 2 points! Leon Rodez suddenly has two points in this Round Robin tournament – and Drek Stone is in last place with zero! CABOOSE I can’t believe this! He was cheating! He was pulling on Drek’s tights! He was hanging onto the ropes! How did the referee not see any of that?! COLE Probably because it didn’t happen. Drek shoots an unbelieving glare at Leon Rodez, who is proudly celebrating outside of the ring. He starts to limp back up the ramp with a wide smile on his face, as Drek gloomily wipes the sweat off his forehead. At the top of the rope, Leon pounds his fist for the crowd one more time, before exiting through the curtains. COLE Well, folks, this Round-Robin tournament has certainly started off with a bang. CABOOSE Is that what they call this?! This tournament could be doomed – DOOMED – if such injustices continue to happen. COACH Could we only be a few months away from World Heavyweight Champion Leon Rodez?! Or World Heavyweight Champion Panther? This tournament could determine all of that! CABOOSE I feel bad for Australia. Imagine finally getting the OAOAST to come to this desolate country…..and now you have to watch Leon Rodez celebrating. COLE These fans certainly look happy enough. Folks, we’ll be right back. **************************** Back Caught you lookin' for the same thing It's a new thing - check out this I bring Uh Oh the roll below the level 'Cause I'm livin' low next to the bass, C'mon Turn up the radio They claim that I'm a criminal By now I wonder how Some people never know The enemy could be their friend, guardian I'm not a hooligan I rock the party and Clear all the madness, I'm not a racist Preach to teach to all 'Cause some they never had this Number one, not born to run About the gun... 3. I have the 20 Man Tony, thanks. I now have just about everything, I'm waiting on the Triple Threat 24/7 Title match (I know Hoff will have that in later), Drek vs. Rodez (I know that will be late), and the Battle Royal, being written by Cappa.
  4. Nah its fine, I just talked to Drek, and I worked out I can piost it at 2am Friday morning your time (EDIT: That's at the latest, so if I get everyones stuff before then, I'll post it beforehand). Seriously everyone, read this week's show. There's a big surprise for the Dream Tag Team Partner, and the other matches on the card will be absolutely insane.

    WWE Title Vs World Title

OK, in answer to what The Mountie posted. 1) The problem was the next week when Eric just handed the belt over. They could have had a one night four man Tournament, but no, they just handed the gold over to H. Sure, he beat Undertaker, but that was for the number 1 contendorship, not for a completely different title. It felt wrong that Triple H was just handed the belt, something should have been done to make sure that the belt was won, not just given. If Eric had of said that he wanted HHH to be the Champion and then the rest of the locker room disputed the call, forcing Eric to make a Tourny, that would have been cool too. 2) Dude, that was 40 years ago. The WWWF/WWF/WWE Championship and the Intercontinental Championship were both won in ficticious tournaments held in Rio, but back then, no one cared. The business has changed, and now if a title just appears out of the blue, then the wrestler and the company are immediately de-valued. Look at Lance Storm in WCW. He won the US Title in a match, then changed the name of the belt. If Storm had of just showed up with a title, the fan's would have been livid. It matters how belts are won now to the fans like you an I. We are all agreeing that WWE dropped the ball in late 2002 when they did that on RAW, it wasn't right by the fans or the workers. As for the IC Title in 2003, Austin came out and gave an explanation, he re-activated the belt after it was retired back at No Mercy 2002. It was never merged with a belt, it was retired. The whole story that night was the fact that the IC Title was being retired, no one ever said the word 'merge'.
