Yeah, but the issue is RVD was supposedly released early, not that his contract ran out. That was WWE's decision.

Eh...Conway seemed pretty unremarkable to me, but that's partly because his gimmick was incredibly generic. How many teachers does WWE really need, though?
-
It's something different. I think being able to beat different teams from across the league shows a team's real worth, not just if they can beat their same bottom tier division rivals over and over again across the course of a season. (Yes, I realize this can be applied to the Brewers right now, negatively).
-
So...are they naturally that big and we haven't seen them before, or are there some real wardrobe wizards on that show?

I love interleague play, and wish there was more of it. I think the artificial divide between the AL and NL is silly. Screw integrity of schedule...I personally get sick of seeing so many Brewers games against teams like the Reds and Pirates. Heck, at the very least, even up the leagues so there's at least one interleague series all the time. Yeah, it could lead to a scenario like "The Yankees are a half game behind the Red Sox in the standings, and have to finish out the season against the Braves." Tough. Interleague play is exciting.

Yes...to defeat the Evil Empire!

I think TNA could make a lot of money with an RVD main event program (assuming they don't botch it like every other main event program they've done over the past year...). I don't know if there'd be as much interest in a Sabu/RVD tag team run.

The new "Morning in America" means big government, huge deficits, amnesty for illegal immigrants, and poorly run foreign wars, apparently. Ronald Reagan must be proud.

The TNA World Title looks reminiscent of the classic WWF winged-eagle belt, without being a blatant ripoff. Ideally, I would've liked for them to just update the NWA Title they were using, and make it bigger (that belt looked too much like a toy), but this is very classy and prestigious looking. I also like the new tag belts...the NWA ones were too generic looking, IMO.

Yeah...also nice to see that even after a lousy road trip, they're still 11 games over .500 and have a 5.5 game lead in their division. I'm going to be at tonight's Brewers/Twins game at Miller Park. Paul Molitor bobblehead~!

Either that, or I could see some weird thing like Ryan and Karen dating for a while, like Karen trying to get back at Jim by dating the higher up guy in the company.
-
I don't think Vince is really worried about anyone jumping to TNA at this point (unless it was an upper tier main eventer like Cena or Edge). Even if someone like that did somehow jump, TNA has shown they don't know what they're doing, as shown by how they've used Kurt Angle so far. Basically WWE wants guys working only on their terms, which is why RVD was let go.
-
Can someone post a pic of Ryan smiling at the camera right at the end? That was great.

Funny how the two top faces in ECW are now probably Lashley and Punk.

Don't remember that at all

I don't know. It totally sucks. All I ever see on it when I flip there is that annoying Asian guy acting gay. Personally, I haven't bothered watching a full episode in years.

Well, athletes in the NBA seem to act out more than athletes in MLB or NHL...
-
I wish they'd let Stevie talk. Even if it was just a corny heel "I'm better than you" promo before jobbing. This was at least the third time Punk and Richards wrestled on ECW TV.

Why Snitsky vignette's are airing on Raw
Dobbs 3K replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
My guess is Triple H wants Cena to feud with the "monsters" because most of the matches will be terrible, and then Triple H can come back and put on much better matches with Cena, looking better because of it. -
I do think the "mother's life in danger" thing gets used way too much. I don't think any rational person thinks an abortion is wrong if the woman's life is seriously threatened.

Boy, I sure do miss farm forclosures and corporation bailouts!

Well, there were the money changers in the temple...

Oh, and I'm not defending what Falwell was saying in any of those quotes. I just think that it's a frustrating argument either way. Look, as a Christian, the Bible says that homosexuality isn't a part of God's plan. You don't have to agree with it, but it's there. That doesn't mean that a true Christian wants to lynch gays or condemn them. In the Bible, Christ associated with a lot of sinners, because he wanted to help them. I think that gets lost in this debate.

I don't care for Jerry Falwell's comments, but these arguments are always the same. A non-Christian isn't going to understand where a Christian is coming from on issues like this, and vice versa. It's a pointless argument.
