I do, because it would lead to death by other objects (can opener, lawn chair, sock full of marbles, etc...) It could be like a real life Tom & Jerry cartoon.

Oh gosh, just lock this thread now.

Boxing should take the same steps UFC is taking. Get a regular TV show somewhere, and get organized so there aren't three or four different major organizations (UFC just bought Pride, for example). I think UFC is the real danger to boxing at this point.

I guess as someone who's never seen a full ROH show before, and has been reluctant to shell out 20 bucks for a DVD, I'd be interested in this, especially if a PPV only costs around 10 bucks. It would be something to do on a boring afternoon or evening when nothing else is happening.

Nolan Ryan was a tough S.O.B. He would've pitched through it.

On ESPN tonight: "The Cardinals continue grieving their fallen brother."
-
And the Brewers sweep the Cardinals.

What, I'm supposed to act all shocked and appalled by a veto everyone knew was coming? Please. There's been much worse things to get up in arms about regarding Iraq than one veto by a completely obstinate president, who clearly is unwilling to change his course of action in regards to his war.
-
That was pretty entertaining, thanks.

Psssst...guess which team has the best record in baseball?
-
Funny, I feel fine about it. Might as well pile up on the World Champions while they can. Hopefully they sweep this afternoon. Sheets looked great after the first couple shaky innings, so that's a great sign. On Clemens...I don't get how baseball can allow a player like that to sit out 'til May or June or whatever and sign with any team he wants. It just seems so unfair, and not really in the spirit of the game. He holds up the same three teams all the time, as well.

gary floyd was talking about Bush's veto, right? I just meant that everyone saw it coming. The Democrats will just have to keep pressing the President, so he keeps looking worse and worse in the media, until he finally caves.
-
Eh, knew it was going to happen. Not really much to get excited about.

Have Paul Bearer come back for his revenge and bury Undertaker in cement. Then Bearer becomes Kane's manager, Kane wins a tournament for the title, and goes on an evil monster heel title reign until 'Taker comes back from the dead. OK, yeah, it would suck. I do like the idea of Benoit winning the title in surprise fashion, then have MVP win the US title, but not be able to beat Benoit for the World title.

Batista is the only person that makes sense to win the belt back right now.

I watched the main feature on the Horsemen DVD over the weekend. I won't rehash what everyone else has said, because it really is a great production. My only minor complaint is that they really gloss over a lot of stuff...everything after 1990 or so is blown off pretty quickly. I know they don't like Sid, but it would've been nice if they could have at least shown why he was included in the Horsemen in the first place, even if he was a crappy worker. Just more attention to stuff like that would've been cool. Also, the DVD made it sound like Arn, Tully, and Flair accomlished absolutely nothing in their WWF stints, which was really weird, too. At least they did acknowledge the final incarnations with Mongo, Benoit, Malenko, etc. I'm looking forward to watching the matches on the rest of the DVD, though.

I know this won't happen, but it would make sense if Mr. Kennedy exploited the injury and cashed in his MitB shot against an injured Undertaker.
-
Fun fact: The Yankees are one of only three teams to not hit double digits in their win total, along with Kansas City and Washington. I love how it's news that their owner has to make an announcement that the manager and GM aren't being fired, btw.

Brewers beat up on the mourning St. Louis Cardinals, 7-1.

Yeah, seems like a good move for the Pats. I've actually heard a lot of criticism towards the Packers over the last couple days for not getting him, since he supposedly wanted to work with Favre, etc.

Not many...really, I think Florida is just a terrible baseball market in general. I mean, the Marlins have won two world championships, fairly recently, and they just don't draw. They need to move. I don't think a new stadium will fix anything. Puerto Rico was found to be financially unviable. They just don't have the economy to support an MLB team. I suspect the same could be said for Monterrey.
-
Speaking of kosher foods, have any of you ever seen the ads for Hebrew National hot dogs? Weird stuff.
-
That's another weird thing with the Marlins, too...they've won two world championships. If they move, do you rename them and lose that connection, or do you keep them "the Marlins" in a landlocked city where the name doesn't make sense? I'm still holding out for the Omaha Opponents, myself.
-
LOL...that's how they should've kept the Sabu character.

They're not that messy, unless you just slather the sauce on and then mindlessly shovel the stuff into your mouth.
