WWE stops Hogan-Lawler from happening
Dobbs 3K replied to GreatWhiteNope's topic in General Wrestling
By "write the end of his own legacy" he means "Make sure everyone knows that Hulkamania's gonna live forever, brother!" -
I wouldn't be surprised to see A-Rod in a Dodgers or Angels uniform eventually. Brewers beat the Cubbies in the 12th inning last night after Prince Fielder's second home run of the night. Brewers are in first place in the NL Central, and leading by 2.5 games, as noted.

OK, I guess I have to jump back in here. Yes, that was kind of what I was thinking. But what I'm thinking more at this point is "Why the hell are we still there? Is this what Bush meant by rebuilding Iraq?"

Supreme Court Bans Partial Birth Abortion
Dobbs 3K replied to Danville_Wrestling's topic in Current Events
Nope, it's definitely the song that my sig references, cliche as it might be. I would've figured you'd reference Suffer Litle Children or something like that. -
Well, there's other teams they can still discuss along with the Yankees. The Dodgers have one more win than the Red Sox right now (best record in the NL), but they seem to be off ESPN's radar pretty much. Hell, my own Brewers are in first place right now, first time in seemingly forever, and of course ESPN will never mention that fact.

I hate that kind of talk. The White Sox have been an exciting team the last couple years. But they don't get attention so they're lambasted as "boring, abbrasive, blah blah blah..." We'd much rather talk about A-Rod striking out in the ninth inning, or finding out what Dice-K had for lunch, I guess.
-
It's what I expect from ESPN at this point. It's just silly that they can't take a break from discussing the two AL East teams (one of which is sub-.500 at this point, btw) to talk about anything else in MLB.

Ugh...we have multiple TVs where I work, and one is usually on ESPN. Today, seemingly every time I've looked at it, I've seen something on the Red Sox/Yankees. The only other baseball item I've seen covered is Barry Bonds.

Most of the mutants there probably only wanted a refund to cover a new pair of pants, after they had blown their loads following that spot.

Supreme Court Bans Partial Birth Abortion
Dobbs 3K replied to Danville_Wrestling's topic in Current Events
No. But have any of you actually seen an abortion, whether partial birth or otherwise? It's fucking disgusting. I wonder how pro-choice some people would be if they actually saw how it works. -
Wow, interesting read. Btw, what is a "pasture party?" I've never heard of such a thing.

Argh...Turner had nothing to do with WCW really by the end. It was owned by Time Warner. He was still part of the company, but he wasn't the owner of WCW.
-
That reminds me of when WCW was pushing the Benoit/Malenko tag team in '99 or so (they were feuding over the tag titles with Hennig and Windham) and they aired a promo where they were shot from the waist up...and of course, neither was wearing a shirt. It was so weird looking.

I just rarely watch ESPN, so it doesn't hinder or enhance my enjoyment of baseball one way or the other.

The whole video capture animation thing got really old and really overused pretty quickly in the mid '90s.

Was that the show with the Kiana chick? Yeah, she was hot.

"My real feelings on Muslims..." I laughed at the "upgraded" picture. Does that make me a bad person?
-
Yeah, I'm sure their little internet group made the religious zealots change their minds.

My question is, how did a private phone call between a parent and a child become a public matter anyway? I can understand Baldwin's frustration. Some of the language he used was over the top, but I agree with his sentiment.

I think ESPN forgot the NL Central exists.

Maybe they should go back to swords. I bet those worked out a lot better for them.

- gun availability is linked to higher rates of suicide Well, rope nooses are out of fashion. - people living in areas where guns are more readily available are at an increased risk of homicide, especially gun-related homicide Yeah, the ghettos are like that. Where's Jesse Jackson when you need him? - accidental deaths are significantly more common in homes that have guns as compared to those that don't (this includes adults) Darwinian Evolutionary Theory in action. - right-to-carry and concealed weapons laws cause no reduction in violent crime, and in some cases even increase it Is that a gun in your pants, or are you happy to see me?
