I think it might have been better if instead of trying to resurrect WCW and ECW, they had created some kind of new entity for the Alliance guys to fight under (anyway, a name not as lame as "The Alliance"). The basic premise of Shane and Stephanie trying to beat Vince made sense...having some kind of new nWo type group for them to head would've taken away the lameness of having Kurt Angle and Steve Austin join WCW, which was seen by WWF fans as being uncool by that point. They really needed to present the Alliance guys as being able to beat the WWF, and they never did that. Plus, a lot of the guys came off as being really generic. I think Lance Storm, Justin Credible, and Perry Saturn were all using the superkick as a finisher at the same time, for example. Most of them didn't really get a chance to cut promos, either. So basically you just had a bunch of guys from two dead promotions no one really cared about anymore trying to take on the WWF Superstars, and it just wasn't believable.

In this instance, I was basically just asking for clarification on an issue being discussed, and you again find a way to jump down my throat FOR NO REASON. Yeah...that's the whole thing. Way too many resources and police man hours are wasted on marijuana, when that money could be better allocated. The cynic in me wonders why the government is so against drug use. A doped up population is easier to exploit and control.

I felt I needed to go back and respond to this: - Treating kids like shit? No. But kids do need to have structure and good parenting, something often lacking in today's United States. - Walling off Mexico? I am in favor of controlling illegal immigration (as you may have noticed, duh). I think that's a completely rational thing to do. I don't know that a wall would be the best way to do it, but it would be better than what we have now. - Vasectomizing the poor: Never said anything like that. I have suggested in the past that people should possibly have licenses in the US if they want to have children, as I am tired of tax payers picking up the slack for deadbeat parents. Yes, this will never happen. - Shipping off criminals: Would be better than our current system (and I am only talking about the worst of criminals, in lieu of the death penalty), but don't want to foist them off on the fine people of Samoa. Maybe if it involves Samoa Joe and Umaga beating their asses, but that's about it. Oh, there you go making assumptions, by the way. Believe it or not, I'm actually 25% Jewish by ethnicity. Then let him be the loner character. He's too good to join either. The Originals are fine with that, but the New Breed doesn't like that and fights him as well. Yeah, I think that's the way they should push him. It doesn't make sense to make him part of a stable at this point. If they need to make him allied with either side, maybe they could do an angle where Punk and RVD become tag team partners, without Punk joining the Originals, and then slowly play up that there's some dissention between the two. Of course, problem there is that RVD and Sabu are already a de facto tag team (and a pretty good one to boot).

Well, I can't speak for the man, but some of the things he's said since leaving Congress have made him seem much more moderate than the Newt most of us remember from the Clinton years. I recall him talking about education in this country and the need for all children to have access to computers. Seems like a fairly moderate and progressive stance. He didn't say "Well, we need our white kids to have PCs so that we can keep the blacks and Hispanics in the ghetto". Wanting a common language and opposing illegal immigration doesn't equal racism, but none of you want to believe that, as I've reitterated that point ad nauseum.

Yes, but from what I've heard the problem is that Pelosi misrepresented the Israeli and Syrian positions to each country, seemingly trying to trick them into negotiating again (I have no idea if any of that is true, just what I've heard reported on the radio). But yes, the fact that other people were with her and none of that is being reported speaks volumes.
