Wow, soda as a contraceptive. Kids really are idiots. What I've heard about Mountain Dew is that there is a dye in it that really can lower your sperm count, but you have to drink huge quantities of it to actually have an effect...like, more than a dozen cans a day for an extended period of time. Not sure if that's even true, but it makes more sense. My favorite urban legend is the one about Rod Stewart (or any famous British rock star) passing out backstage before a show, having his stomach pumped, and a quart of semen being removed. Either that or the "fun house" with all the trap doors and different levels that no one ever made it through, that was supposed to be in Chicago (or any other major US city).

The other thing that's forgotten is even if you have a hundred people on staff at a time, they can't cover every foot of ground at once. Stuff happens when people aren't looking. I doubt a lot of prison rapes happen with a guard just standing there watching.

Exactly...TNA is in a position right now where they _really_ need to be listening to what their fans are saying, and they're just not doing that at all. In fact, they've put in place a guy (Russo) who is known for doing exactly the opposite of what the fans want and expect. It's just terrible business for a company that is trying to grow, and in debt.

Eh...they might make a casual mention like "JR has worked for years on camera and behind the scenes" but won't make a big deal about it. If he gets inducted, it's going to be for being "The Voice of Monday Night RAW" for the past 10+ years. They'll probably give a nod to his time in WCW and Mid-South/UWF as well.

JBL vs HBK seems like it would be a good match, since JBL can work a good brawling style, and Michaels usually has good matches against bigger guys. Too bad it won't happen. I really am curious to see what they do with this, though. If JBL just comes down and says "I ain't wrestling, I'm retired", it's going to make WWE look really weak for announcing it to begin with. Maybe they do an angle where someone like MVP begs JBL to let him take his place, or something to that effect?

Again, I have to call for people being required to have licenses before having children.

I definitely think in a case like this, violence is warranted. Put up a notice that you will use force to protect your land. Buy a gun and know how to use it. This is government sanctioned theft, and nothing more. It's been slowly going on in other parts of the country, and it makes me sick. Get some petitions going, call the networks, raise as much hell as you can. Hell, put up barbed wire and bear traps around your house. What do you have to lose at this point?

I'm mildly hungover, but it's more the slight ringing in my ears from the awesome cover band I saw last night. Any band that covers "Cars" and "Lick It Up" in the same set is OK in my book. Once I get some food in me and some more coffee, I'll be good to go.

No, I'm really not down on gun owners. I think there needs to be tight restrictions on who can buy guns, and things have to be registered, etc. I just think the whole idea of second ammendment rights gets bandied about a lot with only really vague references to what it actually was intended to do. I think people should be able to own guns though, yes.

Personally, I think they should drag out the Originals vs New Breed storyline for as long as they can, since it's really the only compelling thing they have going right now on ECW.

Why didn't they pick a superstar who is actually active right now? Like, uh, John Cena or something.

I'll probably go out tonight, but more to check out a local band than get drunk. I'll drink, for sure, but I'm not going to be puking green beer later.

I agree...Human Tornado seems like he'd have the potential to at least be a good cruiserweight wrestler on Smackdown. WWE could sign him and send him to OVW, at least.

One point, too...maybe it would be easier to believe that the people behind this game had good intentions, if they hadn't given it a name to make it sound like a Mario Bros. spin-off.

WWE has actually been pretty good lately. There's things that could be changed, for sure, but overall their programs have been at least decent, and not completely irritating like TNA's have been for the last few months.

Speaking of punk albums, this one doesn't really count in that it wasn't a true album and more of a soundtrack, but The Great Rock & Roll Swindle was clearly a huge drop off from Never Mind the Bullocks. Also, it didn't really feature the original band either.

Well, at least no currently active wrestlers have died yet this year (assuming Bigelow and Awesome don't count).

How is it hard to take a stand on contraceptives? It's not like condoms are some new fangled thing that just got invented five years ago. He should just say "Well, as a Christian I believe sex should be saved for marriage, but if nothing else, safe sex should be practiced to prevent the spread of disease." No one could really criticize that, but instead he waffles and comes off like he's uninformed and unprincipled.

Yeah, they'd be best served ignoring WWE right now, and trying to get their own crap in order. There's so many flaws with this promotion, it's scary. The thing is, the potential is there for something really special in this promotion, and they just squander it over and over.

Why can't a candidate just say "It's time to cut third world funding, since it ends up being squandered by countries who end up hating us anyway?" I'd vote for that candidate in an instant.

This game's been around for a while. The thing I've always wondered...the two shooters didn't really do a good job. The bombs they planted didn't even go off. Does the game let you win?

I don't see how the wording of the second ammendment can be interpreted as "We need a check on our government...so logically, the citizenry need automatic weapons."

Just go to the Middle East. They seem to have shells easily available over there. You'd probably trip over a few cases getting off your plane.
