Well, we can use these punk kids instead. Problem solved.

Yeah, I've heard his Stampede work was a lot better, too.

The alledged Randy Savage ban from WWE.

Heck, I remember he even looked weak during his feud with DDP. He took a diamond cutter on the mats around the ring, and was immediately stretchered out. It was ridiculous. He was booked somewhat strongly against Kevin Nash, and had his own entourage with Madusa and Mona, but it was kind of late for him at that point. -
Didn't Joe basically decide on his own that it would be better for himself to go to TNA though?
-
Hey, let's be honest, it's the WWF Hall of Fame, not the "Successful Gaijin in Japan" Hall of Fame. He's a god there, but in the US he's basically remembered as being "the other Bulldog."

Well, I've been a proponent of making illegal immigrant prisoners build the wall, but apparently there's something wrong with that.

Eh...most of Savage's WCW run was him playing second fiddle to Hogan. I mean, he was basically brought in at the beginning as Hogan's tag team partner, had a brief respite and feud with Flair while Hogan was off making movies, then he was the nWo's bitch and ended up joining them because he couldn't beat them. -
When's Foley worked with Samoa Joe? I didn't know there was a connection there.

That kind of reaffirms what I've thought for a long time, that Pakistan is basically playing both sides against each other in this to gain more power in the region (the US and the Taliban, specifically).

One thing they should consider is inducting more tag teams. I mean, they've got the Road Warriors out there yet, who would clearly be deserving. Only drawback is where do you draw the line between guys inducted as a tag team, or for their solo runs? The British Bulldogs come to mind with that. They were a great tag team in the '80s, but Davey Boy Smith could probably be inducted for his singles accomplishments alone, where as Dynamite Kid probably couldn't, realistically.

I never really got Bad News Brown as a kid either. He just seemed like another big evil looking bad guy who yelled a lot. I guess I caught him at the end of his WWF run, though. Actually, it's funny someone mentioned the Megapowers vs Twin Towers match...that was actually the match that got me hooked on pro-wrestling, though I had seen a little before that.

I guess I'm not overly excited about Bret's biography. Talk about one wrestling career that's been over-analyzed and discussed to death.

Yeah, this would be WAY too early for WSX to even consider running pay-per-views. TNA got away with it at the beginning because that was their model to start with (the weekly $9.95 PPV shows), and they had actual recognized stars on their shows. WSX doesn't have that going for them.

Agreed. I think the show would do well on a different network. You just don't think of MTV as a wrestling channel. Heck, Sunday Night Heat didn't even do that well when it was on MTV.

I wouldn't induct someone/give someone money (via DVD sales) if they banged my underage daughter. Yeah, I'd probably take that grudge to my grave. Oh, and Kevin Adkisson (Von Erich) is still alive. Here we go again with that stupid urban legend. Kevin Von Erich has already worked with WWE recently (that big RAW in Texas last year), so I'm sure he'd be fine with his family getting inducted, and would probably show up at the ceremony too.

I was fine with it, just as long as they don't try to present Holly as a serious main event threat anymore. I mean, the way he was squashed could be considered borderline burial, though he will probably beat someone like Sandman or Balls next week to make up for it.

I think Foley's book is this coming Tuesday, IIRC. Anyone hear anything about it, like what he discusses in this book? I honestly hadn't even heard about it until that promo for it on Monday Night RAW.

I've heard the reason Catholics can eat fish is because the Pope was trying to help out the Italian fishermen. I have no idea if that's true, though.

McCain's going on Letterman...won't Letterman tear apart the new neo-con John McCain, or are they friends or something?

snuffbox thinks that anyone who's even a little conservative in their views wants to murder kids and use their bones to build a wall to keep out the Mexicans. Hey, problem solved!

The main thing is that Hogan has been working with WWE over the last several years, which makes Savage persona non grata in WWE, since the two apparently can't get along at all. I think the Savage/Stephanie rumor is total DVDVR-smark type fantasy that has zero basis in reality. -
That's not very progressive of you.

I liked last night's show, but the "main event" was weird. Lashley practically squashed Holly, and Tazz and Styles were like "Man, how'd Lashley do it?" I think Holly got in one chair shot on Lashley, but Lashley hit him five or six times with the chair. Also, what was with Umaga? Was the idea that he couldn't figure out how to get in the cage? It didn't seem like he had any purpose being there, other than for the cool spot to finish the show.
-
That's just the difference between wrestling then and wrestling now. The Monday Night Wars made it mandatory that the main eventers be on every show and wrestle frequently. Back in the day there was less competition, so seeing the champion was more special.

You can't tell me shows like that, glorifying that kind of behavior, don't have some kind of effect on youth of today. I mean, I don't remember watching any "The Little Spoiled Rich Brat Who Mouths Off To His Parents!" cartoons when I was a kid.
