This sucks. I always really liked him. Mike Awesome was probably one of the best big men in pro-wrestling over the last fifteen years or so.

You'd think Edge would be past the point where his character would want to be in the "Money in the Bank" match. He's been there, done that.

I've cut way back on my soda consumption, personally. I now have _maybe_ one soda a week, and it's usually either something like Diet Pepsi or root beer. I usually get iced tea or lemonade if I'm at a restaurant now. I definitely feel better, and I know I've lost some weight due to not having all those empty calories all the time.

The Bret Hart rant on RAW was scripted to a point, he just wasn't supposed to go completely off like he did, though WWF had warned USA ahead of time.

Yeah, Albert could definitely have a good match with the right opponent. He and Benoit had a pretty good series on Smackdown at one point.

Well, there's definitely enough "animated violence" in it, I guess. Slightly off topic, but dealing with beat-em-ups: This arcade somewhat near me had an awesome brawler game for a while, but it was a long time ago and I can't remember the name. Basically it was a 2D side scroller where you could have up to four people playing, and the thing that was unique was there were a ton of weapons you could pick up and use (chains, 2x4s, pipes, etc). One of the guys you could play as resembled Hulk Hogan. Anyone have any clue what I'm talking about?

Not to stir up too much trouble, but I've always found Streets of Rage to be a little overrated. I don't really see what makes it stand out from games like Double Dragon, Final Fight, etc.

They really didn't turn babyface until the match with the Quebecars. The Quebecars were such strong heels, the Headshrinkers with Albano were the default babyfaces. Wasn't there an angle where Captain Lou was coming back and he was going to pick a tag team to manage to take out The Quebecers (the then tag team champs). I vaguely remember The Bushwhackers and The Smoking Gunns being involved in this storylines as teams that Captain Lou might pick. Then he ended picking The Headshrinkers for no reason and thus they became babyfaces. Am I crazy or did something like this actually happen? Yeah, I remember seeing that on Superstars or something like that. The Quebecers were in the ring (I think having just beaten a couple jobbers) and Captain Lou came out. He might have said something, but then motioned to the back and brought out the Headshrinkers. I don't remember if they played up that Albano had managed Afa and Sika or not. I could be wrong, but didn't Killer Kahn beat Andre at one point during their feud? That would've been the very early 1980s.

WWE would re-sign them to have them work with DX, then HHH and/or Shawn Michaels would bury them, and they'd be jobbed out.

Also, a lot of that had to do with the way A-Train was presented. Like he'd spend all this time doing nothing on Heat and Velocity and about every six months or so WWE'd get this sudden urge to try to shoot him to the top of the card with the thought that the fans would take to him just because he's big. His pushes usually came off as half-assed and forced on TV and were usually forgotten about 3 or 4 months down the line, and then they wonder why people could never get excited about him. Bingo. You really got it there...basically they'd re-push him whenever they needed a monster for someone to feud with. Other than that, he was an afterthought. I don't think it's anything to be sad about, really though. He had a close to five year run in WWF/WWE, and had some success. If he's doing even better in Japan, good for him.

The Spirit Squad could've been considered legitimate, but they were always booked like losers and were HBK and HHH's bitches for months on end. The Freebird rule didn't hurt them, since they were booked to be interchangable heels. It seems like the RAW tag titles have basically been used to advance main event level feuds, or given to a couple guys with nothing to do for the last few years. How many times have we seen the "whacky can't get along tag champs" thing on RAW? Smackdown's tag division, on the other hand, has been filled out with real teams, and the focus has been on solid wrestling and title defenses. I think it's fine to have those differences, as long as WWE sticks to them. They can't have it both ways on both shows.

Guys, thanks for the help. I finally got it to work...I'm not even 100% sure how. I think it was a combination of Norton's firewall blocking something, and a sharing setting not being right somewhere on Vista. Working fine now, though.

It's not silly at all. Wrigley Field is great because it's not like anywhere else. When you start adding these modern accoutrements, it just becomes an old stinky park with too many asshole fans. But, it would cease being an ugly old stinky park with nothing but asshole fans. BUT, comma, no. You're missing my point. Advertisements and LED boards make Wrigley no longer one-of-a-kind. By trying to make it more like other parks, it's just the worst of the rest, instead of in a class of its own. Eventually the Cubs will be sold to new owners, who will decide that they want more revenue, and a new ballpark will be built, for better or worse. Do you know how much money the Cubs make for the Tribune? It might be more profitable than the paper itself. Should the impossible happen, any buyer will realize the value of Wrigley Field. They move, they won't draw 2 million. Man, people are dumb. Oh, I didn't know you were privy to the Tribune company's books. Excuse me. I guess all those rumors about the Tribune looking to sell some assets, coinciding with this off-season's spending spree were uninformed BS.

I would think black voters would tend to support a black man more than a white woman, but who knows for sure? Bill Clinton has been called the first black president.

Slightly off topic, but related to Vista, question: As mentioned, our new laptop has Windows Vista. We have it on a wireless internet connection (Linksys wireless router attached to our high speed internet modem). Our existing PC has Windows XP, and is connected to the same router. How can I set up a home network to share documents and files between the two computers? I'm trying to figure it out, and having no success thus far.

I'd probably have bought a Mac laptop if it wasn't for the big price difference, and the fact that I don't need to do a bunch of music/picture/video editing.

Yeah...the Pontiac Silverdome number can be somewhat excused because there could have been "bad number counting" or something like that. The bomb threat story is just asinine, though.

I always wondered about that. They were a decent team and were fairly over. They had a token tag title reign and then went nowhere pretty quickly. Not sure why they broke up.
