Anyone else irritated that they're dragging some stuff out a lot longer than they need to? The whole Atia/Servilia feud is getting rather old.
-
I like both a lot, honestly, but I think I'd have to give the slight edge to New Order. Joy Division's gloom can get grating after a while.

Submissions aren't exactly used much anymore as finishers with the exception of Cena, Punk, Benoit, and Masters. Some use submissions as set ups but it's generally those four with routine submission finishers. Right, because no one is booked to look really strong anymore, and no one wants to look weak by tapping out, even once.

I thought I remember reading that he went to work for some relatively obscure company in Chicago, but I could be wrong.
-
Yeah, I've never been able to buy Edge's spear, he's just to thin looking. It would be OK as a setup move, but it's not a believable finisher. He should go back to using that "Edge-lock" Sharpshooter type variation he had for a while, but I guess main eventers aren't allowed to have submission finishers in WWE (other than John Cena's STFU).

Wow, yeah, I'd mark out for that, but it will never happen. Hogan wouldn't sell any of Sabu's offense (other than after Khali interfered), and Sabu seems to be on the outs with the company anyway. Not a horrible idea, though. Who wouldn't love to see Hogan take an Arabian facebuster through a table?

I'm glad I'm Lutheran, I guess.

It's actually "Great Taste, Less Filling", but you're right on otherwise.
-
OK, that was pretty funny.

Oh, one other thing you'll all get a kick out of. Last night while watching RAW, during the match with Balls Mahoney, my wife called Umaga, "Samoa Joe." She doesn't know anything about wrestling, but watches along with me. I thought that was hilarious.

Bah, they Rays are screwed. They'll never come close to spending as much as the Red Sox, Yankees, or Orioles. They're also in a bad market, in the same state as another team that's doing poorly in terms of attendance.

When I think "Extreme", I think Dusty Rhodes. Seriously, I guess it can't hurt at this point.
-
Well, they've decided they can't fight all the insurgents and factions, so they're trying to include some of them. I'm sure this is exactly how the war on terror was supposed to go!

good lord...I'm actually agreeing with him! Khali isn't meant to go out and have scienticifc masterpieces with Benoit or CM Punk, he's meant to kill people. See, and I think that's where WWE messed up with Big Show (at least for a while). Instead of having him wrestle like a giant, they made him wrestle like every other heavyweight main eventer, and he became just another interchangable guy. He lost the mystique of being this huge monster. At least they're doing that with Khali right now.

LOLZ dude, EVERYONE called it... Not really...a lot of people have been saying they'd do Cena/Edge/Orton or Cena/UT somehow. Seriously...I came up with the idea of HBK/Cena a couple months ago in a post before everyone else did (I think it was a thread about WM main event ideas). I'm not one to brag, but I'm taking credit this one time.
-
Reminds me of that story on Acts of Gord where he uses an N64 as a door stop, and people got mad at him.
-
Well, I called it (re: HBK/Cena). I'm curious where they're going with Flair and Carlito. Probably a lame tag team that devolves into a feud, but I could be wrong.

The logic of putting Bill Hall in center is that he'll have to move again when Braun is up, potentially yet this season or the season after. Braun is considered a stud prospect, and is pretty much an exclusive 3B player. Hardy and Weeks obviously aren't moving anywhere, so Hall has to go to CF (where he'll be fine, anyway). The Brewers are hoping Koskie will bounce back from his concussion, but if that doesn't pan out, Counsell and Graffanino will probably platoon at 3B.
-
Yeah, I don't have high hopes for Flair/J.Hardy to be lengthy matchup. It could be interesting to see Nitro or Mercury try to screw Jeff, only to accidentally cause Flair to lose, leading to a Flair vs MNM feud. It would be worth it to hear Flair cut a promo on Melina.

I think I remember reading something about the DC discs having a weird copy protection where even a very minor scratch can basically make the disc unplayable on the Dreamcast system.

It doesn't even have to be a kick to the nads. If WWE has taught us anything, a solid kick to the gut before applying any finisher works wonders. Otherwise, when in doubt, do it off the top rope.
-
Yeah, it is frustrating. As a newer TNA viewer (I started when they were on FSN), I thought they were on the right track a few months ago after Angle signed, but lately the shows just don't hold my interest. I can hardly be bothered to watch 15 minutes of their one hour show now.

I don't have anything against Mormons, but these stories you see on the news about Mormon or Mormon-like towns where the women aren't allowed to talk, and the men have multiple women living in their homes don't give it a good name in the public's eyes.

??? Has Cade bulked up that much lately?

I know most around here won't care, but it was just announced that the Brewers have signed Bill Hall to a four year deal, with an option for a fifth. Guaranteed money is around $24 million. Probably ends up being a bargain if Hall continues to perform well. He's probably going to be their everyday center fielder from now on.
