Sorry if this is a little off topic, but is there any way to get older shows like GAB '89 on DVD? I assume there are traders out there that have these shows burned, I'd assume.

The signing for the first Flair-Hogan match in WCW was almost like that. They were both wearing normal clothes (well, Flair was in a suit, I'm sure Hogan was wearing something red and yellow) and Ted Turner was there. They almost got in a fight, and Turner said "Save it for the show!" or something like that.

It's real. I've seen it used in history classes before. Eh, nothing in it was really that extreme.

They didn't have to do Angle/Joe over a year, but they could have easily stretched it for six months or so. Even that was too much, apparently.

I really think Russo could be good strictly as an idea man, but having someone like Cornette actually write the shows (yes, I realize Cornette and Russo could probably never work together like that). He has good ideas, but his pacing and concept of pro wrestling do not work in 2007, at least for what TNA is trying to do. I do like the fact that he give everyone an angle and a purpose.

I watched it last night, and the only reason I knew it was on was because I was skimming through a small article in the latest issue of "Rolling Stone" about the show! Anyway, I thought it was a pretty good episode. I don't quite get the direction of Vorenus' character...he's become extremely dark, whereas at the beginning of the series he was pretty mild mannered. I'm sure it's leading somewhere, though. I suppose in a way, his character has gone the opposite direction of Pullo (wild at first, but calmed down a lot).

Yeah, I don't think it's fair to blame Luger for that one, either.

I'm sorely tempted to not tune in, even though I know I will. It's not even that what they listed sounds so awful, it's that it's basically the same stuff we've been seeing for the last two or three years.

Maybe Rated RKO vs Flair and someone else at WM?

Well, technically he did have Andre the Giant during his very brief WWF Championship reign. You could maybe count Ric Flair as well, though he obviously wasn't at ringside when he won the WWF Championship in the Royal Rumble.

Eh...they can probably just have him not do anything physical until the PPV. If they're smart, and he is still in bad shape, they'll play it up and have Christian beat him in a relatively short match, than give him time off. That said, I expect to see him wrestling on every Impact until the next PPV, than try to go for about 20 minutes against Cage.

I personally think Test is better than a lot of people here give him credit for. I think he's decent in the ring, has a good look, and cuts pretty good promos. The fact is though, that he shouldn't be contending for a world title right now.

No, in most jobs if someone is performing well, they are rewarded for it. I don't recall ever having a job where my boss said "Well, you're exceeding your numbers and are extremely reliable, plus the customers like you. Fuck you, you're not getting a bonus this year." It's not exactly seen as a great way of motivating your employees.

It really is funny how WWE can run a PPV like Cyber Sunday, which is supposed to show that they're catering to what the fans want, but then turn around and completely disregard the crowd's reaction to someone.

Eh...I think Brody was a great big man, but he definitely gets overhyped. As far as the Luger incident, putting over Luger wouldn't have hurt Brody in the least, since he would've just gone to another territory anyway, but I guess he just wasn't in the mood. Very unprofessional.

I'm not some ROH smark...I'd never seen a CM Punk match before he debuted in the new ECW. That said, the guy is the total package, other than being a roided up freak. He can talk, he has a great look, and he can wrestle. If they're not going to push him, Punk should tell them to go fuck themselves so he can go to TNA and carry that company. Really, anything short of him being the ECW Champion by this summer is a total waste of time. Really, opportunities like CM Punk don't come along everyday. I'm not worried about one loss to Bob Holly, but if this is indicative of how they're going to continue using Punk, he'd really be better off not being under the thumb of World's Worst Entertainment.
