I always liked when Raven and the Flock beat up Saturn for not punishing Riggs for losing a match. I believe there was finger breaking involved with that one.

Yeah...I've learned not to get my hopes too high about wrestling games anymore. Like, those Legends of Wrestling games always sounded awesome on paper...then we ended up with a stupid story mode and guys like Sid Vicious doing sentons off the top rope and spinning chokeslam powerbomb things.

They should rename the PPV...calling it "One Night Stand" again is kind of pointless. My guess is eventually the roster gets down to having only Tommy Dreamer as the "elder statesman" (assuming RVD and Sabu aren't long for the company), with everyone else being new "projects" like CM Punk, Mike Knox, or carry overs from RAW and Smackdown like Rene Dupree and such. -
I think they basically used him the right way, aside from not having a proper blow off to his feud with Joe. He was fine as a muscle/bodyguard for Jeff Jarrett. Really, I wish TNA and WWE could both get in the mindset that "Yes, it's OK to bring in an older guy once in a while, but he doesn't have to be signed to a long term contract and wrestle every single week. Sometimes you can use a guy for a short storyline and then send him back to the indys." (see "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan for the opposite of this)

Wait...TNA is on Bravo now???

Agreed. The only thing I don't like about Smackdown is the constant appearances by guys from RAW, but that happens on the other shows as well.
-
Hmmmm...it's a tossup, IMO.

WWE brought it on themselves. They hired people with no experience in the business, they should be ready to deal with the results. -
Smackdown is way better, wrestling-wise, to RAW and ECW. I think people just bash it because it's on at an inconvenient time and they don't watch it. Most of Smackdown's storylines actually make sense and are coherent (save for the Boogeyman stuff).

I pretty much only watch FSN for Brewers games. Their other programming just doesn't hold my interest at all.
-
How so? He's probably the most stubborn poster I can think of.

For as hyped as Parappa was on Playstation, I don't think I know a single person who's ever played it. Oh, I had a copy of "Mega Man Soccer" for SNES...talk about obscure/weird sports games.

My "big" gift was an XM satellite radio, which comes with a car kit. I need to figure out how to install it, and I'd also like to get a "home adapter" kit for it. Also got "New Super Mario Brothers" for Nintendo DS...only problem is that I don't actually _own_ a Nintendo DS. My Mom was confused and thought I did. So, now I gotta figure out if I return the game, or splurge and buy the thing. Oh, I need to find time to play my new copy of Civilzation 4, but who knows when that will happen.

I know many will disagree, but I think that era was Sid's peak as a worker...he had great wrestlers to work with, and I really enjoyed his matches against Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. Heck, even a lot of the squashes he did were entertaining.
-
I think the other flipside is that there's almost endless possibilities for what they could do with Angle in TNA. Joe is just the first of many programs that Angle will hopefully work in TNA. I mean, they can get major mileage out of having him feud with Sting, Abyss, AJ Styles, etc. They just decided to go with the "workrate" program first.

C-Bacon, do you just have to dig and dig for any story with a hint of US imperialism? Why this obsession? Were you molested by an American politician as a child, or have you just been completely brainwashed by neo-hippie professors in your liberal arts classes?

This is probably the strangest email I've ever received.

Almost looks like it may be a bad translation of a foreign language, like Chinese or something. -
Well, he did have title reigns in both WWF and WCW. It's not like he was never given the ball to run with, or anything.
-
I didn't bother catching most of the show last night. I was too busy actually getting to relax after a long weekend, and playing with some of my new gifts...plus I knew nothing substantive would happen on the show, anyway. Did see a little of 'Taker squashing Johnny Nitro. Liked the look of the ring they used, but that's about it.

Yeah, other than a few indy spots, Sid has never returned after that injury. I remember he supposedly had some big ideas for returning to WWE, but that never materialized.
-
Man, you gotta wonder what TNA will do with LAX if Konnan can't come back any time soon. They have a good thing going with him playing the Michael Hayes role to Homicide and Hernandez.

I know it's been posted about, but I'm very excited and happy to see the Brewers are signing Jeff Suppan. He adds a lot of depth to the rotation, and you figure he should save the bullpen some innings. The Brewers should have one of the better rotations in the NL Central, if not the whole NL, if things work out: - Ben Sheets - Chris Capuano - Jeff Suppan - Dave Bush - Claudio Vargas/Carlos Villanueva Looks good to me.

Well, if the Canadians gave the wrong info, it's their own damn fault. Stupid canucks.
-
Yeah, they really need to drop the brand extension if they're going to keep doing stuff like that. Either that, or just say "Well, each guy is on one roster, but they can wrestle on any show if the GM allows it" or something to that effect. They've already admitted ECW is just another "brand" anyway. Chavo-Benoit was really good last night. Like it or not, they've done a good job booking this angle with Vicki Guerrero.

She used to be OK on "Standup Spotlight" on VH1 way back in the day.
