One overlooked song that I really liked is "Cut Here" on their best of album.

Anyone else catch the jab at the Simpsons? Stewie: "Nobody better lay a finger on my Butterfinger...DOH!" What's Family Guy's problem with the Simpsons anyway?
-
Yeah, I loved Stewart's line about "Well, the media has basically abdicated their roles, so this award makes sense."
-
Yeah, the Stallone thing was tolerable. So far not a bad RAW, really.

Maybe the TV camera is the new Spanish announce table.

Randy Orton, with help from Kenny.

I was surprised WWE has never hired or used Kimberly (especially when DDP was with them, though maybe their marriage was on the rocks at that point). DDP was generally pretty good, from about '97-'99 or so. His interviews got kind of lame eventually, though. You could tell he was trying to be like a cross between the Rock and Stone Cold, or something.

The question is, who led Dixie Carter to think some kind of response from WWE would happen?

WWE really needs a modern version of Jesse Ventura to be a heel commentator. Best ever, IMO. That said, JBL isn't bad.

I liked when they first brought Paul Wight into WWF, and actually booked him correctly. He actually was booked and wrestled like a Giant. No one could irish whip him, punches had no effect on him, etc. Eventually he just became another heavyweight though, and that was the worst thing that could happen to him.
-
They'll probably have him turn heel at Survivor Series next year after some screwy "Montreal finish" in Montreal.
-
I just can't believe they hot shotted a four way tag team ladder match with no advance word that it would be happening.

I bet that letter is somewhere on snopes.com, though I can't be bothered to check.

Codemasters had some really good, but obscure games for the original NES. I remember my mom bought several of them from the Home Shopping Network, of all places. Micro Machines was really good, so was Big Nose the Caveman (kind of a side scroller action/adventure game).

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot
Dobbs 3K replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
I would assume he would've allied with the likes of Sting and Goldberg against the nWo, but who knows for sure? If they knew he probably wouldn't be around long term, it sounds idiotic that they would've given him such a huge guaranteed contract, but this was WCW... -
I think a lot of McAdam's stuff was old NWA stuff which McMahon probably has rights to now, so it wouldn't surprise me if he shut down. Too bad, I ordered stuff from him in the past and it was good quality.

I don't know. I think I remember Yoko having heat in some of his matches, at least against the likes of Bret Hart and Diesel. His finisher (the Bonzai Drop) was definitely believable, and seemed over.

I hate to say it, but I agree that Ahmadenijad should have been it...or maybe Kim Jong Il, since he was able to test fire six missiles and conduct a nuclear test, and have the US not do anything about it.
-
Yeah, that's true. Anytime a guy would jump to WCW around that time, they'd try to do what they could to make them look bad. I remember when Curt Hennig suddenly jumped to WCW, they replayed that angle where Triple H pretended to attack Hennig backstage by pushing a cart into him, and Vince tried to play it off like Triple H was disposing of Hennig after he won the IC Title.

Triple H or HBK.

Here's a return the CE folder didn't need. Some guy most of us have never heard of. Where's my indignant intellectual emoticon?

I wonder if Vicky Guerrero is trying to get in better shape...I know she's had kids and stuff, but you'd think that being on TV featuring all these other skinny women would put some pressure on her. I think a gimmick like Amy Zidian's backstage actions would be hilarious. Imagine some rookie walking up to Undertaker and saying "Hey, big dude, what's up? Hey, cool tatoo. Who's Sara? Is that your mom or something?"
-
That is not a bad way to plan things, but let's face it, WWE doesn't work that way. They won't risk putting the title on a guy right before his contract is up.
-
Small loss...I think they used him on TV only once as a jobber, maybe twice, IIRC.
