Yes, I used to go on RSPW all the time...but have you visited it lately? It was alwasy kind of crummy, and hard to wade through to get to the good stuff, but it's worse now, only with less quality postings.

Thanks for posting that info. It's much appreciated. That said, the stuff about WWE hiring bikini models isn't really surprising or new. It's pretty much clear WWE has a set direction they want to go in, and while most of the people on this board don't like it, it's not like we can get them to change their minds...which is why I hope TNA gets off their "sports entertainment" track they've been taking with Russo and gets things going as a real wrestling company again, so we can actually have an alternative to the product that's saturating the market.

Agreed. No one wants to see Lashley with a world title right now. I wish WWE would get that through their heads (it will never happen, I know). I don't see why WWE can never just put a belt on someone the fans actually want to see on top for any extended period of time (other than the late '90s or so when Rock and Austin were on top).

The more I think about it, they really should just fold ECW back into the other two shows. I know it won't happen. Heck, they could keep the ECW Championship and just make it the "Hardcore Title" that floats between RAW and Smackdown.

Me either. That's why we should bring our troops home. I don't think we can even begin to imagine what a total barbaric hellhole Iraq is. If Iraq is going to be pulled up, it's going to be by Iraqis, not the US and its allies.

That reminds me...I have a tape somewhere of Abdullah wrestling Hogan in NJPW from around '83 or so...it was actually a decent big man match.

Agreed...I still think most of the hate directed at him is based on when he took over for Jim Ross on Monday Night RAW in '98 or so (after JR's bell's palsy attack). He was pretty green and terrible back then, but I think he's now one of the best play-by-play commentator's in wrestling.

Anyone think they'll really do Joe/Angle a third time right now? If so, will they make it a gimmick match of some kind?

Well, wwe.com had a story on Monty Brown's signing, so I'm guessing he'll come in under that name, and not some weird gimmick. (Yes, I'm probably dead wrong based on that logic). I don't think sticking him with AAE would be that bad, really. "Ladies and gentlemen...my SERENGETI BEAST...MONTYYYYYYYY BROOOOOOOOOOWN!" "POUNCE!"

I think Carter is an underrated president, personally. I think he was sort of the "right guy at the wrong time." Still, some of the things he's been saying and doing are getting a little embarassing.

They should've chucked him out of a plane into the Pacific like all those political enemies of his in the '70s.

People like Killings are why TNA could really use another singles title for the heavyweights to fight over. Have a "TNA TV Championship" or something, at least.

The whole Hogan/Andre thing is overblown anyway. All the "passing of the torch" nonsense, etc. It was a big match for its time, but it doesn't need to be rehashed today.

The thing that's being overlooked is that you don't always have to hit your kid to get them to shut up. Sometimes simply choking them a little or covering their mouth with a piece of cloth would work just as well.

You know what would be really great? If WWE would create a new "legendary moment" like Hogan's slam on Andre, using guys that are actually current and relevant today!

I don't know. I can't recall any really good matches from the past couple years. It has to be hard to put on a good match in that heat, and in such a unique environment like that.

So, RVD got out of this trip too, eh?

They had a hilarious story about this on the Daily Show. They showed some black people protesting the drink, saying it was targeted at minorities, and the guy behind the product said "If we were targeting minorities, we would've called it 'Crack' instead". He was completely serious, too.

You gotta love this "Big Brother" trend that American cities are taking with local businesses. Great way to encourage economic growth!

At least the Giant falling off the arena could've been somewhat explainable, even though they didn't bother to. They could've just said "Well, he survived by falling in a dumpster" or something, even if it would've been ridiculous, but this was after a monster truck battle on top of an arena...so I don't think they were exactly looking for further credibility at that point. Triple H in that car on the other hand...there was no way you could watch that and then see him come out completely healthy, and think it was nothing more than a stunt job. People just don't survive stuff like that completely unscathed.

Surprised no one has mentioned "Friday the 13th" or "Nightmare on Elm Street" yet. Oh, and as for cartoons, what about Transformers? There's been like a dozen different series around the same basic premise, plus another movie coming out soon.
