They need to make people aware that they exist, too. If that story about Angle having to explain to people what TNA is, is in fact true, that is pretty much unacceptable at this point.

Well, to be fair, most of TNA's signings lately have been seemingly good decisions. So far, Sting and Angle have worked out well. As far as TNA making a return on their investment, that's all going to depend on how much they expand their business plan in 2007. Also, the prospect of Misterio in the six sided ring against the likes of Styles, Daniels, Samoa Joe, etc. is pretty appealing.

Yes, that is fine. I mean, it's pretty logical for some tag teams to have an extra "nickname." It just irked me a little bit when then announcer called them "Team Xtreme" during the ring introduction last night. I don't know why...it just seemed kind of weird.

This just seems like something some pissed off right wing Fox News executive came up with as a way to get back at "the liberal media."

I do remember they and Lita being collectively known as "Team Xtreme"...but not Matt and Jeff strictly as a tag team. It was always "Matt and Jeff, the Hardy Boyz."

They should do something like have the LAX threaten to sue TNA for racial discrimination, and have Cornette or whoever back down and give them back the tag titles, but make them defend them at the next PPV...because that would actually make sense.

I thought last night's show was pretty good...a couple good matches, though the angle advancement was pretty nill. RVD needs to win the Elimination Chamber. They've built him up enough...anyone else with the belt just isn't going to be accepted. The Hardyz were awesome last night. I hope WWE puts them on the same show again, so even if they're not a regular tag team anymore, we can still see them team up. That match last night is how modern tag team wrestling should be. I thought the Holly/RVD match was also really good. Lashley seems dead in the water as of right now. The crowd reaction to him was pretty tepid. They're going to have to do more with him than just standard "Goldberg squashes" to get him over.

Does RAW really need him, though? I mean, they have Cena on top, along with DX, Flair, etc. I guess there might be a "big man" niche to fill now that Kane is gone, I suppose.

You have to wonder how many more high profile names TNA can really afford at this point. That said, I'd love to see Rey in TNA. I think he's done about all he can in WWE. I mean, how many people ever thought he'd be a World title holder? And he's done that already. He's getting older too...only 32 or so, but still... I'm sure the slower road schedule has got to be appealing.

I wouldn't be surprised if they use a few Smackdown and RAW guys to fill out the ECW PPV. Maybe do the Hardyz (since when they hell are they "Team Xtreme?") vs Doring/Roadkill and Misterio vs Shannon Moore, or something like that. I'm sure they'll also put Burke and Terkay on there somewhere.

Oh great...if they make him Jimmy Snuka Jr. we'll get to see that clip of Jimmy Snuka diving off the cage onto Don Muraco about a million more times.

Something I've been curious about... How is Samoa Joe being booked in ROH now? I don't follow it too much. I'm just curious, because he's getting huge exposure (relatively) in TNA now. Do they acknowledge his feud with Angle, etc? Or is he just kind of a separate character in ROH? Just wondering.

Can't wait for all the beer baths and random stunners. Maybe he can resume his thrilling feud with Jonathan Coachman!

I think the main problem isn't that the new ECW is actively bad. For the most part, the one hour ECW weekly show is pretty good. Decent wrestling, angle advancement, etc. It's all pretty solid. The main problem is that it's too much like RAW and Smackdown. They should've never played up the fact that this is another WWE venture. They should be portraying it as being completely separate from WWE. It feels too much like a third hour of RAW right now. Big Show shouldn't be showing up on other shows, etc.

I just don't get it. It's funny how every system launch over the last few years has been like this. It's like people never think "Gee, in six months another system is going to be coming out that might be better than this."

Speaking of the Undertaker...I remember when he locked the Ultimate Warrior in a coffin on the set of "The Funeral Parlor" and freaking out, because of all the refs and stuff trying to bust Warrior out of there. My sister and I thought Warrior was going to suffocate in there.

I'm guessing you like the rest of the world has forgotten Karzarian's cup of coffee in the WWE on Velocity? This all depends on what Vince thinks of him. If Vince hates him, Expect him to come out to the NAO theme and job out every night to HHH or HBK. If Vince likes him, They will probably do a football player like gimmick on Smackdown. Yeah, I did forget about Kazarian. Mainly because I never even saw him wrestle in a WWE ring before they "let him go."

The PS3 smashing thing was basically the same as the XBOX 360 one last year. Same comments too. "Can I have the controller???" Not that exciting, really. Also, buying a video game system as an investment strategy is stupid. Get a life, and get a real job.

Nailz beating the crap out of the Big Boss Man. I mean, it was just a brutal beating, and then Nailz goes back out through the crowd and everyone is staying away from him, too scared to even boo him. Well, that's what I thought as a kid, anyway.

It's like that episode of the Simpsons "You could have used the money you would have made working to get tickets from a scalper." Granted, you probably can't make $600 in the 12 hours or so it takes to stand in line, but geez, get a life already. You're freezing your BUTT off in line to possibly get to buy an overpriced video game system with hardly any good games out for it. Is your PS2 really so outdated that you have to get the next thing already? Anyone else hear the story out today about the brilliant Wal-Mart manager who set up ten chairs, and had people RUN for the chairs in order to get to buy a PS3? One guy ran into a pillar and had to get stitches. Kind of serves him right, but I'm sure the manager is going to get fired over that one, too.

Weird. Not sure what they'd really do together. It seems like PRIDE is the antithesis of WWE, really.

I guess if anything, this is intersting because this will be the first time a "TNA guy" has come to WWE, that I can think of. Sure, we've seen some guys like Sabu and Jeff Hardy come back to WWE after working TNA, but those guys already had established reputations. Monty Brown is only known in the wrestling world because of TNA.
