http://nattieneidhart.tripod.com/id27.html Whoa, OK, now I see it.

Hey, it's already worked with Kaddafi in Libya.
-
Wow, that's hillarious. "The Declaration of IndePAINdence" is begging to be stolen by some indy wrestler.
-
Oh I am sure it would be a warning alright. But not the one you would think it was. It would play more like "America: The Enemy" rather than "Saddam: The Asshole Who Got What He Deserved". Well, they already hate us, so why not throw a little intimidation in while we can?

Only problem is that Cryme Tyme is being booked as a face team right now...seems kind of early for a heel turn. I also don't like the idea of putting the belts on a brand new team so fast. Personally, I'd rather see Orton and Edge take the belts from Flair/Piper. They probably deserve a shot most, in kayfabe terms, since they beat DX last night.

I'm kind of surprised WWE is signing Nattie...from what I've heard, she's a very good worker, but let's face it...that really doesn't matter in WWE's women's division, and she doesn't seem like she has the "diva look" WWE usually goes for. It's kind of eerie how the two in that pic look like the original British Bulldogs, though. I think it would be a shame if they didn't have them do a tag team for a while (Wilson and Smith, I mean).

Think they'll do some Survivor Series tag matches again this year? I know they've been doing one a year for a while now, but maybe with the three different "brands" they'll do one or two "brand vs brand" type matches.

Getting the tag belts off the Spirit Squad is a good thing...hopefully now they start breaking up the group for good, so at least Ken Doane can get a singles push that they've been hinting at. I wouldn't be surprised if Flair and Piper drop the belts tonight...dunno to who though. I'm surprised Booker's belt was on the line...I thought the WWE Championship would win for sure, since the fans have been conditioned to think of it as the top championship of the three titles. Funny to see K-Fed in those pics at the end, too.

Death by firing squad is generally considered the more honorable "soldier's death". Hanging isn't, so that's fine by me.
-
Yes, although there's basically no credible evidence that it actually happened.
-
No, it just means all the guys are in the ring at once.

Well, for quite a while, PPVs started at 7 PM EST, then they got bumped back an hour because of Sunday Night Heat, IIRC.
-
See, and then they get offended, even though the portrayal is accurate.
-
Nice...probably be in more theaters next week now, eh?
-
Exactly. Cyber Sunday isn't really a very strong card, top to bottom.

Saw this last night, and found it hillarious. We had to drive half an hour to the one theater in the area showing it, otherwise it was at least a forty five minute drive to the nearest next theater showing it...the screen we watched it on was one of the theater's smaller rooms, and it was packed. One of the more uncomfortable scenes, IMO, was when Borat is in the RV with the college guys and the one guy is going off about how "the Jews and minorities run everything here too". I guess it was supposed to make you think a little bit. I know the portrayals of Kazakhstan were exagerrated, but I just wonder how much they really are. I mean thoughts like "the Jews caused 9/11" aren't exactly foreign to the Middle East and Central Asia.

I think quite a few more will be gone after this Tuesday...

That's funny. It's like "Yeah, we know people are criticizing him. It's been going on forever. Who cares?" The Republican strategy really does seem to be "Lie and die, stay with the status quo", etc.

If Ron Reagan ran as a Democrat, the benefit would be Sean Hannity having a heart attack over having to criticize the name of his lord and master.
-
I hope they display his carcass as a warning to other dictators.

Yeah, that was a surreal moment, but a huge waste as well. Why couldn't Bischoff have shown up as a surprise and instead feuded with Vince? I think that would've made a lot more money in the long run.

Classic WCW Nitro, Thunder, & Saturday Night...
Dobbs 3K replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in General Wrestling
Nice recaps again. Thanks so much for posting those. Again, Lex Luger's character was quite intriguing around this time, and this was probably the best he'd been booked in quite some time. I remember his TV Title reign being pretty weird at this time though. I think the only reason he beat Badd was because he (Marc Mero) was jumping to WWF and they had to get the title off him. Then, Luger basically stopped carrying around the TV Title and it seemed WCW was going to abandon it in favor of spotlighting the new WCW Cruiserweight Title...then Luger ended up dropping the TV Title in a rare WCW Saturday Night title change to Lord Steven Regal, in a move designed to appease Regal from jumping to WWF. In fact, in that match on WCW Saturday Night, I don't think Luger even carried the belt to the ring, and Regal won via Outsider interference. -
I know if the PPVs were a bit cheaper I'd probably be inclined to order them. $40 is a big chunk of our monthly entertainment budget, personally.

The thing about Sting not knowing Angle would be there is quite amusing. It would be like Cena coming to a WWE PPV and not knowing that, say, Steve Austin would be a special ref in his match. I can't believe they're going to keep using Roberts in TNA. I don't see what he adds, and they really haven't learned any lessons from using old stars like this in the past.
