I really doubt that a restaurant in South Carolina, where lots and lots of black people live, is going to actively discriminate against a black patron. Like someone else said, if this happened to a white person, it would be called "shitty service," and the person would have left to go to a different restaurant. But because this person is black, and has a famous son, it suddenly becomes racism and it makes the national news. Part of being free is the freedom to leave a crappy restaurant. She wasn't shackled to the table or anything.

I don't know. Most of what Angle said made sense to me, in terms of WWE not caring about how he was doing with his family and not taking him off the road, etc. Where's all the outrage we saw on this board when TNA signed Angle? It seems, at least from Angle's interview, that TNA is the company that cares about him, not WWE.

No, Maggs never really got pushed in WCW. He was pretty much exclusively enhancement talent. I'm sure he had a few televised wins, but they were few and far between.

Well, supposedly North Korea is preparing for a second nuclear test, and have said the sanctions imposed by the UN "amount to a declaration of war." What do we do if they actually do conduct a second test? I mean, I can't see the UN going any further than the current sanctions they just passed.

I enjoyed Impact last night...unfortunately, I fell asleep before the main event. I really am looking forward to Impact being on a little earlier during the week...call me old, but it's hard for me to stay awake 'til 11 PM CST watching wrestling...

Vince has proven that you don't need Enter Sandman to get him over. I never thought that it would work, but generic music has gotten Sandman over just as much. When the crappy music hits the fans know who it is and go crazy. Never thought it would happen, but it has. I do agree that he is quite over right now. I also thought the notion that he needed a certain song to get over was a little bit silly.

Yeah, I guess that is basically what I was trying to say. Thanks for that one. I admit to not having a good answer...it just frustrates me that we're supposed to be a super power, but really can't act like it anymore, mainly due to Bush's War in Iraq.

how exactly do we remind them without launching a devestating attack? We can't start making outright threats if we're not willing or able to follow it up. I'd agree that the simple act of having our armed forces free and clear of the middle east quagmires and messes sends a subtle sort of "indirect message" that we are capable again. No doubt people like Jong Il (and probably Ahmemajad) are emboldened with the knowledge that a lot of our military capability is "busy" in Iraq and Afghanistan. however i'm not in support of any sort of pre-emptive offensive attack on civilians. Well, then what do we do? Just lie back and let North Korea continue developing weapons? I've seen zero alternative suggestions offered so far. This is a matter that has to be dealt with. It won't just go away on its own.

I'm not saying we should immediately drop a nuke. I'm saying we should remind them that we have the capability of wiping them off the map. It should be our country holding the cards, not them. This will ultimately require re-assessing US military presence in Iraq and elsewhere. Also, we should pull troops and cut spending from countries that don't respect us. (Saudi Arabia comes to mind).

Yep, that's Pyongyang. That's the only part of the country running electricity at night (at least any noticable amount). The wonders of the socialist system in action. I love how people still get excited for "the Snake". I think smartmarks just look back on him fondly because he cut dark promos and had a unique gimmick. Most of his matches in WWF and WCW sucked. Maybe he had good matches back in Mid-South and the other territories, but I've never seen any of that stuff. My guess is he doesn't even make a second appearance in TNA, after having a falling out with the company or no showing. This is going to be a completely worthless appearance in the long run.

No, that's fine. That's the other reason I'm glad they don't do three hour shows every week...it's all a lot to absorb.

Sorry if this has been discussed already, but I was wondering something... With Vince McMahon suggesting a "Champion of Champions" three way match at Cyber Sunday, does this mean WWE is actually going to unify the belts, or even introduce another "Undisputed World Title" type of thing, or is it simply going to be a non-title match where the winner basically gets bragging rights and that's it? Just curious here.
