Characters that should NEVER be allied.
Dobbs 3K replied to TheFranchise's topic in General Wrestling
Speaking of Crush, it was weird when he returned to WWF in '92 or so as a Hawaiian babyface, and they didn't acknowledge his stint in Demolition, even though he was using the same name and everything. As far as Lex Luger, I thought it was really interesting in '95 and '96 how much of a tweener he was. He was teaming with Sting, but also managed by Jimmy Hart and almost a de facto member of the Dungeon of Doom. I wish more characters would be booked like that. The old RSPWFAQ gave a rather amusing detailing of Sting's numerous "idiot" instances, IIRC. -
That always annoyed me how HBK would keep coming back for special "guest appearances" every few months and WWF kept playing it up like it was some big deal. It's like "Yeah, we just saw this guy do the same thing two months ago. Either come back or go away for good."

It's not like Pierzinski is a full time TNA wrestler, so it's not a big deal.

North Korea Agrees to end Nuke Program

North Korea Agrees to end Nuke Program
Dobbs 3K replied to Prime Time Andrew Doyle's topic in Current Events
Wow, you're fucking crazy. Really. You are. With an attitude like that you'd be best friends with KJI in no time.. What have I said that's actually wrong? I feel like I'm the only realist in this conversation. At least I'd rather not see North Korea sell a nuclear weapon to Al Quaeda and have it go off in a an American city. Are we supposed to just wait around for our enemies to destroy us or what? We haven't done a single thing wrong to North Korea, but they hate us anyway. Why bother trying to negotiate with them? They've had enough opportunities to stop their program (which the entire world, even China, wants them to stop...it's not just us), but they continue. When do the limp wristed discussions end? -
Um...What exactly did Orton do that was so bad? Him and Edge were one of the most entertaining parts of the night and he was super over with the crowd. To be fair, the problem was this board (myself included) had speculated all night about the mystery guest and as it was only Orton, it was a big let down. The announcement of Orton killed it. I don't know what you guys were thinking. Neither WWE nor Edge played it up that it was going to be some huge surprise mystery guest or anything. People speculating that it would be someone like Waltman or Jericho was pretty silly, and unfounded. I was trying to figure out who had recently been involved with Edge that would be showing up, frankly.

North Korea Agrees to end Nuke Program
Dobbs 3K replied to Prime Time Andrew Doyle's topic in Current Events
Exactly. Bush is a total hypocrite in this matter. If he's really worried about keeping America safe, he should've gone after the country that actually was close to developing nuclear capabilities. North Korea's main exports are drugs, counterfeit American money, and weapons. Isn't it time to take care of them? Oh, and as far as people hating America...like I said, if they want to hate us, fine. We may as well make them fear us as well so they at least fall in line. -
North Korea Agrees to end Nuke Program

More have died from starvation due to Kim Jung Il's policies than that. Why are we talking about humanitarianism? I'm sick of treating our enemies with kid gloves. If they want to hate America, that's fine. We should at least make them fear us as well. -
I question that though...wasn't it pretty certain by Wrestlemania that Shawn would basically have to take an extended hiatus due to his back injury (let alone basically retire)?

North Korea Agrees to end Nuke Program
Dobbs 3K replied to Prime Time Andrew Doyle's topic in Current Events
Just because North Korea successfully tested a nuclear device doesn't mean they actually have a usable nuclear _weapon_ yet, people. There is a difference. Time to act is now. I'd rather see 100,000 dead North Koreans than Seoul bombed off the map, or 1 American soldier die. -
Characters that should NEVER be allied.
Dobbs 3K replied to TheFranchise's topic in General Wrestling
At least with the Two Man Power Trip, it was presented as being two guys who hated each other teaming up to further their own careers. It wasn't like they were buddy-buddy or anything. -
Plus, I think Bulldog's run in WWE ended not too long after that anyway.

Time for the UN to put up or shut up. If they fail to do anything within a week, I say the US should leave the UN and proceed to act unilaterally against North Korea. It would be within our right. -
Whoa...wait? You could actually see Regal's package? I was under the impression it was just his ass.

I think Booker is going to retain through a screwy finish. They still have some milage to get out of his title reign.

The mystery opponent will probably be some "legend" like Greg Valentine or something.

Man kills Daughter after she unplugs his Console
Dobbs 3K replied to milliondollarchamp's topic in Current Events
Maybe he thought he was on jihad or something. -
Hogan doesn't like taking them, it seems, remember the botched one Taker gave him at...think it was Judgement Day 2002? I remember the announcer did the opposite and made it sound like Taker killed him See, that's one thing I think wrestling announcers are pretty bad at nowadays. Logically, Hogan would try to fight out of the Undertaker's chokeslam, so it would make sense that Undertaker wouldn't be able to hit the move 100% all the time. Why couldn't they just say "Hogan tried to counter the chokeslam, but Undertaker managed to take him down with it" or something? It makes more sense than trying to oversell or undersell the move.

Yeah, that's one thing I've never understood. How does Youtube actually support itself? I never notice any ads or anything on it.
-
I like both teams, but kind of pulling for the Tigers.
-
I was hoping the Dodgers would pull out a win, but I don't mind the Mets. Just as long as the Cards (assuming they beat the Padres) don't win the NLCS, I'll be happy.
-
Good for the Tigers. I enjoyed the celebration after the game. That is all.

Actually, I remember there was that one special on MTV a few years ago where the cameras were following Atlas around, he said he was very appreciative to Vince McMahon for giving him that job, since he needed the money and had kind of been in a rut prior to that.
-
That was only for a few years in one of the southern territories though, wasn't it? I don't think that was ever featured on the classic Mid-Atlantic/Georgia/WCW programs people remember, AFAIK. Edit: Looked it up on wrestling-titles.com (an invaluable wrestling site) and found that the Brass Knuckles Title existed for about three years in the Nashville territory. Title was held by Gypsy Joe, Dennis Condrey, and Don Fargo.

It didn't make sense because it was two guys who were tag team partners with basically no reason to be wrestling each other.
