I don't understand why Dave Parker isn't in. No, he didn't hit 500 homers, but has a ton of hits, played great defense, and was a feared hitter during his era. Blyleven should finally get in too...when he retired, he was third all time on the strike outs list.

For me, the best thing on the show last night was the HBK/JBL segment. JBL begging Shawn to hit him, and Michaels just looking saddened, foreshadowing an inevitable heel turn, was gold. Anyone who thinks JBL needs to be back in the booth, is missing the boat, as evidenced by segments like the one last night. I was also surprised and mildly impressed by Dolph Ziggler. I expected a fairly generic wrestler by his appearance, but he busted out some pretty cool moves. Not sure I get the logic in jobbing him in his first match, and the announcers didn't really put him over post-match. As far as Rey's angle...I was also pretty confused by that. The only thing that makes sense at this point is for him to make the final match of the tournament, and then lose due to the injured arm. However, if he faces Punk, that won't really make sense. Maybe it will be Rey/Morrison in the finals, with Morrison brutalizing the arm and getting a "cheap" win?

Actually, reading old stories from the Observer around that time, it sounds like Hogan might have actually left WCW soon, if not for the heel turn re-igniting his career. People forget that he was getting booed quite a bit before taking a hiatus prior to GAB '96.

I've always wondered if WWE could bring Rikishi back at some point. He'd still get a big reaction, and would actually fit in well with some of the current guys. It would be nice if they would bring a few guys back from the '90s (beyond Goldust), instead of always focusing on way over the hill guys from the Hogan era for the nostalgia pops (Duggan, Piper, Slaughter, etc). Heck, if nothing else, Rikishi could always team with Manu or Umaga as a New Samoans kind of tag team. And yes, thank goodness for the lack of wrestler deaths this year. A few of the old timers left us, but at least there haven't been any deaths of current guys, or guys who were recently on TV.

I could see Christian getting a short reign with either of the two major world belts. If CM Punk can have the belt, Christian certainly can. Hell, a few years back I would have never thought Edge or even Chris Jericho would hold a world title. Times have changed in WWE. Vince isn't as obsessed with huge guys like everyone still thinks.

Dobbs, you can punish someone without torturing them. I love how people are always concerned about the well being of some murder. Do you think this guy made sure his victims (all 300 or so of them) didn't suffer before killing them?

Yep. If you have a bomb strapped to yourself, that's pretty much instant death, and basically painless. Torture and mutilation on the other hand, are not.

Something my wife was asking me about...with the new Wii chat thing coming out (with Animal Crossing), does anyone know if you'll be able to chat in other games, particularly existing ones...like Mario Kart for example?

So, I'm pretty certain the wife is getting me a PS3 for Christmas. I'm pretty sure I'll pick up Fallout 3 and Madden '09 for sure. Any other "must haves" I should be sure to get right away (particularly ones you can't get on the Wii)?
