Well, I've been waiting for them to pull the "surprise swat guy" trick. Surprised it's taken them this long, really.

Frankly, I'm surprised they didn't put Test on Smackdown, since that is the show truly in need of warm bodies right now. They could've had him come in and feud with someone Bobby Lashley or something. Sure, the matches would suck, but at least its a matchup that makes some sense.

The problem wasn't the matchup or the result...it was just way too short. Lawler's style isn't desgined for a sub-5 minute match. I did like Lawler's white outfit. Getting back to the comment about Umaga's finisher earlier...I think the problem was the camera didn't really catch his finisher very well. We didn't see him set up for it all, just him connecting very quickly. It looks like a clothesline or something that he hit HHH with.

Basically I think they felt Crush had gone as far as he could as a face, so they decided to turn him heel, and a feud with Savage was a convenient way of doing that, since I don't think Savage was doing much at the time either.

Well, that's how I feel. Seems like we just had this discussion pretty recently, though.

That reminds me...about UT vs Berserker. Did that ever go anywhere? I remember seeing the angle where Berserker tried to impale Undertaker with his sword after a wild brawl, but did they ever have a blowoff match or anything to that?

What is so bad about ECW right now? I mean, for a one hour wrestling show (judged on its own merits, and not against the illusionary old ECW), I think it's been pretty entertaining lately.

It wasn't Reuters that specifically altered it. It was a free lance photographer working for them, who was trying to make the Israeli attacks seem worse than they had been. Reuters has since pulled all the photographer's photos, and is investigating. They've already found at least one other photo he had altered recently. From what I understand, the photographer in question is Lebanese. You have to understand, most of the Arab world wants Israel destroyed. There have been lies perpetuated by the Arabs about the Jews for years. You have a civilized democracy surrounded by barbarians trying to destroy them, and telling as many lies as possible to turn world opinion against Israel. Is it really that hard to pick sides in this?

Seems kind of early for Sabu vs Angle, but I guess they don't have much else to go to these days. That said, I will definitely tune in for it.

I don't think the house is sinking...I think the gutter above the middle part might be sagging a little, though. Also, the right part of the house is closer than the left part in the picture, so that could create the illusion that the house is sinking in the picture. Yeah, I hope you had it inspected though. I think most states require it before purchasing a home anyway. I'm sure you have a lot of work to do to it along the line. Good luck and congrats on it. Viscera serves a purpose now, at least, and the proper one for a guy of his ability. He's presented as a credible threat when needed, but not someone who will probably ever hold a title belt. He's used for comedic purpose, and pretty effectively (although the latest angle with Lillian was a little confusing with how it ended). To be fair, I think if you look back at some of Mabel's solo stuff from the mid '90s, he was never a terrible worker...at least no worse than someone like Yokozuna. The problem was, he went from being a tag team wrestler to a main event solo guy in basically one night. It just doesn't work that way. Maybe if they had slowly moved him into a singles role, given him a gimmick overhaul, etc. then it could've worked. But, Bill Watts had a hard-on for big black guys in the main event, so we ended up with King Mabel even though no one wanted to see it.

Hey, I want the troops to get home safe...I think we need to get out of Iraq ASAP, personally, if that's what you're referring to. In kayfabe terms, I'd say an all around technician like Dean Malenko would be most effective. Can take people down, use submissions, and probably go for hours to wear down an opponent, if need be.

Look, I'm not saying they should be held without trial or anything. If that is really the case that they have 10,000 Palestinian prisoners (are you really willing to trust the Arab numbers lately, though?), then the UN should be looking into it, since that would be a blatant human rights violation, and Israel should then correct the situation. That said, to even compare the two sides is grossly unfair. Hezbollah is a known terrorist group with the aim of destroying Israel. Israel is a civilized democracy that just wants to exist in peace, yet is continually attacked and then criticized for defending itself. It's completely hypocritical. Oh, I also love how in the news today, there was a report that an Israeli raid had killed 40 Lebanese...until later it was discovered that only 1 person was killed. Goes into what I said earlier about trusting numbers.

Yeah, I'm sure there's no reason for any of them to be there at all.

Maybe Israel should just start their own terrorist group to fight Hezbollah. Then maybe people will sympathize with their plight, after they kidnap a few Lebanese soldiers.

Latest news is that Raul says Fidel will be back to working within a few weeks. I think the speculation about Castro's death has been extremely premature.
