I wish they would do that. I mean, a lot of those old matches are pretty horrible by today's standards. Just show some clipped highlights, show the finish, and have some commentary over the whole thing. That would be fine. I really don't need to watch Savage vs Hogan from WM5 in its entirety again, thank you very much.

The Brewers sure must not like Carlos Lee as a teammate, the way they've been playing over the past month.

President Bush caught on tape swearing about Syria

Yes, I understand there were lots of social problems, blah blah blah. I didn't mean we should literally go back and relive that time. Clearly things are better today in many aspects. Anyway, I'm not sure what this argument is about anymore, so I'm just going to leave it at that. -
Well, I'm sure she has huge mental problems, but I just hope she's never allowed to leave prison or a mental institution for the rest of her life. Let her think about what she did.

.... I'm sorry?

How come Smackdown seems to be the only "brand" being hit by this seeming epidemic?
-
Yeah. I think guys like Lawler and Ross need to shut the hell up once in a while, but that's not how Vince wants it.

I can't believe MadTV is still on the air after all these years. Every time I try to watch it, it's absolutely horrible. They tend to get one or two funny characters developed every four or five years, and then run them into the ground.

Well, the problem with Roma was mainly that he hadn't really done anything to warrant being included in the Horsemen. I mean, he was known for being one half of a low card WWF tag team. That's it. Guys like Tully, Arn, Windham, Luger, etc...had all won titles or had other major accomplishments before joining the Horsemen. You could argue Sid Vicious hadn't done a lot, but at least he was over as a monster and fit the mold of being "the muscle" of the group. You could even say Steve McMichael at least fit the same mold, and was a Super Bowl champion. The other thing was that the event was billed as "the original Horsemen reunited" and then Tully no showed...so basically Roma was a last minute replacement, and a huge letdown at that.

I hate those comic strips. -

No one rational is saying we need to go back to having segregation. I think the point I was making was pretty obvious. Basically, I think Americans need to "toughen up" a little bit and quit being so sensitive to everything that might offend a small minority of people, to expound on my point earlier. Take for example, the supposed "war on terror." Terrorism is a tactic, not a nation or group. What we're really at war with is fundamentalist Islamic terrorism...not all terror, because we're not fighting any non-Islamic terror groups currently. But, the president and government can't say that, because someone might be offended. We immediately equate any intolerance of a group or policy as racism, and that is what is hurting America. We can't move forward with a coherent border policy, because people immediately scream that it's racist, etc. If someone at an airport looks suspicious and is of Middle Eastern descent, they can't be inspected because that would be racist...it goes on and on. However, when talking about the 1950s, you go back and look at how the family was valued. Parents were expected to raise their kids...not schools or the government. I think people more and more expect the government to take care of everything, and lack personal responsibility. That's what I meant...not that we should make black people drink out of separate water fountains. -
Other wrestlers have gotten time off from WWE for their wives giving birth, guys.

You can't have a real gang war without guns and drugs. Well, I think WWE can pull off at least half of that equation at this point...

This will be good for making the concept of money even more abstract and unrealistic for kids. "I want to buy that! I'll just put it on my credit card!"

I'm in sales, so I can basically take lunch whenever I want, for however long I want, depending on how busy my day is. I usually eat at home, though, since it's pretty close to my office.

Well, now apparently the Brewers may be keeping Lee 'til the end of the season, and possibly even close to re-signing him, but we'll see.
-
I guess you could put that under "putting someone in a wrestling match when it's blatantly obvious they're not a fully trained pro-wrestler." I remember WCW did this towards the end with some of the Nitro girls, and it was god awful.

You can't have a real gang wars without the Nation of Domination and Los Boriquas.

Looks like a fake to me.

Speculation has been running rampant about Carlos Lee. Recent rumor I was hearing yesterday is that a trade with the Tigers might be in the works for Umberto Sanchez (pretty highly thought of pitching prospect, who is basically MLB-ready from what I understand). Of course, with the Brewers finally starting to string together some wins again, that might make trading El Caballo even hearder.

But Sean Hannity says we've been finding WMDs!

Anyone else getting sick of the "this is the start of World War 3" commentary, especially on Fox News (its on the other channels, though)? Frankly, I doubt during WW2's start that people were asking each other "Is this another world war yet?"

Wasn't Slaughter fired from WWF the first time, for trying to unionize the wrestlers?
-
Because Dusty has leached onto every single hot wrestler or angle throughout his entire wrestling career, whenever given the chance.

Stuff that happens at house shows usually doesn't indicate stuff that will happen on TV. I think it's pretty obvious that this was just a "one off".
