Everyone knows Ford didn't introduce the Mustang into Oklahoma and a few of the other flyover states until about 6 months ago, because they knew the technology was too advanced for all the inbred gap toothed hicks and soccer moms...

If indy matches count, probably the Bushwhackers vs the Southern Mississippi Militia...at two separate shows, doing the almost exact same crappy tag match.
-
Injury. I think Del Wilkes retired after that and sold his gimmick to Tom Brandi (Salvatore Sincere), who I believe still wrestles as the Patriot on the indy scene.

Basically it was part of Russo trying to make WCW into an almost exact copy of WWF at the time. Booker T was his Rock, complete with rip-off finisher and outfits.

Hulk Hogan's fifth WWF Title reign, where he beat Yokozuna in an unannounced match. Totally undeserved at that point, and he proved it by proceeding to basically bail on Vince.

African-Americans: The Rock Needs YOU!

Well, 50% anyway. -
Brewers have certainly been clutch lately, getting two walk-off wins in a row. Plus, Koskie and Prince Fielder both had homers today, in addition to Carlos Lee's 23rd homer of the year to win the game. Just one more win, and they're back at .500 (finally).

Wow, if that's true, that pretty much seals it right there.

You won't be alone in the screaming. I3K, read part IV of this. The theory of gravity has been proven, evolution has not. Evolution is not subjected to the rigorous scientific tests that other areas have received, and includes huge gaps in logic. I'm not arguing that religion or even creation theory should be taught in schools. I'm just saying that I think evolution is presented as absolute fact too often when it hasn't been proven. As for Ann Coulter, she's just a "bomb thrower" as Bill O'Reilly puts it. People put too much stock in what she says. If you stop paying attention, she'll go away into obscurity, eventually.

I didn't know he lived in Wisconsin. I'm not going to send him any money, but he could probably crash at my place for a night or two if needed.

Now that I'm a new homeowner, I rarely buy DVDs, CDs, etc. Amazing how much money it saves. Yeah, it would be nice to get some new movies every now and then, but I usually just buy used when Blockbuster or Movie Gallery have a special (like 4 for $20 or whatever).

You agree that public schools are "churches of liberalism" and that evolution is a "liberal creation myth"? I think public schools definitely tend to be more liberal. I think "church of liberalism" is a stretch, but they do tend to be slanted towards the left. The theory of evolution is just that...a theory. Yet it is often presented as scientific fact, when it hasn't been subjected to critical scientific analysis. The theory of evolution is not a proven science like chemistry or biology, etc.

Maybe that is the answer to everything. Just have the crowd sing his theme song. Does anyone have to pay if the crowd is singing the song? Course a Smackdown crowd didn't even know who he was, just looked at him like, "umm ok" To be fair, why should they have known who he is? He hasn't exactly been a major name on the US wrestling scene over the past half decade or so.
-
I agree with the stuff said about the Theory of Evolution and public education, though.

How did he "fuck it up?" They held the NWA and WCW World Tag Team Titles at the same time. Seemed like they were pretty successful to me. Just thought of another team...I liked Marcus Bagwell and the Patriot as "Stars and Stripes" in WCW, for some reason. I guess I was a huge mark for Patriot in GWF.

Well, that would at least be a solid direction to go in. Oh, I forgot one good thing about ECW last night: Trinity's outfit! Yowza!

I think Goldust was only hired because of Dusty Rhodes, this past time. Too bad, I don't think Dustin is such a bad worker. He definitely adds comedy as Goldust. Oh well, guess it's back to TNA for him.

I want it to "feel" like it's not a WWE show. I don't want to constantly be reminded that it's Vince's idea of ECW. Apparently my expectations with that are WAY too high. See, and that's what everyone is definitely craving. WWE needs to wise up and realize they can own both the "hardcore" and "mark" wrestling fans, if they want to. They just can't try to get both kinds of fans while presenting a "WWE" type product.

My thoughts (since I'm finally able to post after problems earlier today): I didn't think the show was _that_ bad. Definitely below the quality it should have been, but I'm HOPING that they're going to work out the kinks and give us a true alternative, not RAW-Lite like we saw last night. - So sue me, the Zombie had me laughing. I thought it was hillarious. There's nothing wrong with gimmicky jobbers, and that's what the Zombie is. At least they used him to put Sandman over. I'm not a huge Sandman fan, but they do need to get the old guys over again, too. - Kurt Angle's match was definitely the best wrestling on the show, by far. I'm hoping they keep tweaking his character...the new choke-out finisher is a good start. Can we get new music next? - Kelly seemed like just another bimbo we would've seen on RAW or Smackdown. I wish WWE would realize that we have the internet if we want to see half-naked chicks. Sadly, I bet her segment was the highest rated on the show. Yeah, she's hot, but she doesn't look any different to me than the countless other "divas" we've seen. - I enjoyed the battle royal for what it was. There were enough decent spots to keep me entertained. I was glad to see Sabu go over, but I don't really get the point of him wrestling Cena. - Cena and Edge shouldn't have been on the show. The whole RAW vs ECW angle is getting asinine. The whole opening segment made ECW look like a bunch of losers. It wouldn't have been so bad if the whole locker room had come out and beat the crap out of Cena and Edge after Paul E. got punked, rather than looking like pussies until Heyman was rallying them during the next segment. So yeah...overall a bad show, but it had enough decent stuff to keep me watching, if that makes sense. I really hope that all of Vince and Co. realize how bad the show was, and let Heyman do things his way. We need to see a totally different presentation to the show, as well. No more having Styles and Tazz sit at the same table as Lawler and JR do.

I remember renting Primal Rage for SNES and having trouble doing even the simple stuff, like eating the people in the background. Maybe I just sucked, but it seemed like the controls were really tricky.

I admit, I bought into Lex Luger hook, line, and sinker back then. I thought it was cool when he bodyslammed Yokozuna, just because it was someone new as the top babyface. I quickly got sick of Stan Lane verbally blowing him during his matches, though.

But if we don't eat eggs, then the terrorists win!

Sounds like a joke. -
Maybe we were lucky, but our parents helped us out with a lot of the costs of the wedding. Though, honestly, we didn't go overboard. We had a nice service at her home church, and then the reception was at the local Knights of Columbus hall. Nice, but nothing fancy. We didn't care about how much money we got in gifts and such. We did have over 200 people at the wedding (my dad's side is really big), so we did get quite a few nice gifts, and did end up with a lot of money, though. I don't know for sure, but I'd say the average cash gift we got was probably 20-50 bucks. Certainly wouldn't have turned any of it down or sent it back.
