I hate "internet feuds" between wrestlers and journalists....this is so 1998. You've got a wrestler who most mainstream wrestling fans know nothing or care nothing about, and a "journalist" for a internet news site, fighting like children. What a joke.

Maybe they shouldn't book and announce matches before they're actually sure their guys can make it It's starting to make TNA look bush league.

What DVDs would you like to see the WWE release?
Dobbs 3K replied to iggymcfly's topic in The WWE Folder
The Fabulous Freebirds DVD (assuming Vince gets the rights to the World Class footage). -
No...that this guy made a living off this whole gangsta image, then tried to live it out and got killed, and for some reason people are shocked. These reports are all the Proof you need.

Prosecute them, or better yet, lynch them and be done with it. Obviously they're a couple of worthless people who have nothing to contribute to society except to take from it.

Which all ties into what I said before...

Shotgun really wasn't that great. Frankly, a good majority of the country couldn't even see the show, since WWF did a crappy job of getting affiliates to carry it before they started the show. That led to a huge curiosity factor for a lot of fans, but once people actually saw the show, it wasn't that special. A lot of the matches and angles were pretty embarassing, and the whole wrestling in bars and nightclubs thing seemed kind of second rate. Finally, after just a couple months it became a second tier show taped before Monday Night RAW.

Eric, if cost is an issue, are you saying it's better for employers to pay these people an illegally low wage than to legally employ them and pay them the federally mandated minimum wage? If we're so concerned about cheap labor, maybe we should just legalize slavery again, since basically what we're doing right now is setting up a poor peasant class with no legal rights in this country anyway.

The books that are considered Biblical canon were chosen very early by church leaders, like in the first couple centuries after Christ. To blame the Vatican for the fact that they didn't include a book probably written well after Christ's life is ignorant. (I'm not Catholic BTW, so I'm not trying to defend the Vatican, just stating the obvious).

Mean Gene was interviewing Rude (w/ Heenan) live during the pay-per-view...just as Mean Gene starts talking, the "SummerSlam" sign behind them falls off the wall, and Gene yells "FUCK IT" and they quickly cut away, back to the arena. You can probably find it on Youtube under "Summerslam blooper" or something similar.

If these guys are truly innocent, they should sue her and sue the school for making them look like criminals. I hate money grubbers who sue people trying to make a quick buck. -
But they should be. No one looks at the big picture. They talk about the southern border as if it's just Mexicans sneaking across. Yes, that's the majority, but there are others too. They neglect the fact that none of these people have been screened for criminal backgrounds or diseases. They also forget that yes, while having cheap labor can help the US in the short term, in the long term it is going to cost us huge amounts of money in lost taxes, as well as having these people use our medical systems, welfare, etc. And let's not even get into the potential cultural and language issues, etc. Instead the argument becomes "America is a free country built on immigration! (of course forgetting that we're only concerned about illegal immigration)" It's a lot more complex than that.

The only time I thought Davey Boy really sucked was when he came back around 2000 or so. Plus, he didn't seem like "the British Bulldog" anymore. He wrestled in jeans and had a crappy new theme. It sucked.

I'm pretty sure either Eddie or Randy Orton would be champion right now...assuming Orton didn't get suspsended.

Sarah Jessica Parker George W. Bush Gary Sheffield Osama bin Laden Sean Hannity Not necessarily in that order.

Only bad thing about that match was that they tried to build that DX had this big "surprise partner" to sub for HBK, and it ended up being Savio...

It wouldn't be that hard to get illegals to leave the country. Make it a felony for an employer to knowingly hire an illegal immigrant, and fine them 1000 bucks for every day they employ that person illegally. Also, cut off all medical care or other services to any illegals. They'll leave pretty damn quickly after that. Also, put up a damn wall on the southern border already. It's not just Mexicans coming across that border, you know. We're supposed to be so concerned about potential terrorism in this country, but we don't do much about some of the most gaping holes. Also, if Mexico protests, say "fine, we'll just start charging your country for all the expenses your people are incurring here." That would be fair.

Why did Hogan actually leave? Was it to do a movie, or was it somehow related to the steroid stuff going on at the time?

More advanced civilizations inevitably push out or absorb weaker ones. It's just the way of the world.

Funny...rappers make careers out of glorifying and talking about the "gangsta" lifestyle, and then when they die violently, people are surprised.

Yeah, but the Yeti isn't Bigfoot.

That's bunk. A lot of female leaders have been quite territorial and aggressive. Queen Elizabeth I, Catherine the Great...you could even argue Margaret Thatcher in recent times (Falkland Islands War).

I'd love to see him come to UW-Whitewater (my alma matter). After the hub-bub that happened when Ward Churchill came here, I'd love to see what the reaction to Warrior would be.

I think the problem is that we try to re-build countries, but we try to be nice about it, so we take half-assed measures. Some people only understand force and pain. Sometimes the sword puts people in line a lot faster than negotiations and friendly platitudes.

The OAO RAW thread for April 10, 2006

OK...maybe I'm insane...but is anyone else thinking this "Cena is hated by 50%+ of the crowd" thing is starting to work for him? I mean, think about it...there's a portion of the crowd that likes him and wants to see him overcome the odds he faces...OK, he's a good babyface. Now, there's a portion of the crowd that hates him and wants to see him get his ass kicked. OK, that makes for a good heel. Catch my drift here? He's drawing on both sides.
