Yeah, that'll happen...

The only problem is, how are they going to get all these people on TV if they still only have a one hour timeslot? Hopefully the 90 minute thing happens. I think that could be the perfect length for Impact...long enough that they can stretch out a couple matches and add a couple interviews, but not so long that they are scraping for stuff and you're bored by the end of the show.

I think it might have to involve bringing in someone new to take the belt off him, while they build back up the other guys. You mentioned Low Ki, which would work, but I heard TNA management had problems with him, so they probably won't bring him back. The nice thing is, since TNA isn't WWE, they aren't really in any hurry to get the belt off Joe, and they really don't have to, either.

From Obsessed with Wrestling (which I know isn't always accurate): -John Nord (later became known as The Berzerker) was originally slated for the role of Vladimir Petrov, but it didn't come to fruition.. -Vladimir Petrov replaced Krusher Kruschev and teamed up with Ivan Koloff and was a member of Paul Jones' Army in JCP.. -1987: Vladimir Petrov was busted for drug possession and never wrestled again.. Hey, if we're talking about obscure '80s "Russians", whatever happened to Soldat Ustinov?

I think the WM8 match changing was more due to the fact that Hogan was "retiring" wasn't it? As far as Andre goes, I'm surprised he wrestled that many matches after leaving WWF. I knew he wrestled in All Japan a few times, but I thought it was only a few matches, not a huge schedule like that. Even if he was just standing on the ring apron 99% of the time, that travel schedule had to have been tough for Andre given his physical condition at that point.

Maybe this time he'll blow out his knee or have a heart attack before he makes it down the entry way.

Well, I don't think you can call Bush a conservative based on his extremely liberal border policies (ie. not doing a damn thing about the border problem).
-
I think Dibiase and Hennig would be a near tie. Owen would be a bit downaways, Rude towards the bottom. You could make a case for Paul Orndorff, possibly.

Man, I used to play D&D my freshman year in high school, and thankfully none of us were _that_ messed up. The lack of any girlfriends was pretty accurate, though Pretty hillarious video overall.

What I think is weird is that we're expected to believe the "Palestinians" are going to settle for three very small tracks of land that will be barely connected to each other. I just find it hard to believe that if they get that as their own country, they're going to stop trying to kill Israelis.

Yep, Sean Hannity is a total elephant riding GOP flag waver. I think he just regurgitates the talking points the RNC puts out every day. I don't think I've ever heard him criticize President George W. Bush on one single point. That's why I like Michael Savage...yeah, he's far right and sometimes he says stupid stuff, but at least he can criticize Bush about stuff and call him on the fact he's not even a real conservative. (Bush is really a moderate internationalist, not a conservative nationalist like people would have you think). I don't know about anyone else, but gas prices around here jumped about 18 cents within the last two days. Kind of ironic after Bush's speech last night. Now let's see if he actually _does_ something about getting us off foreign oil dependency.

Yeah, that's about the best backyard idiot clip ever. The only better one is the compilation one I've seen (which features that clip and many other botched pro and backyard moves).

That's where having a Tivo or ReplayTV comes in handy. I personally have thought for a while TNA Impact _should_ be on Thursday nights, since that has been a traditional wrestling night since WCW Thunder and then WWF Smackdown, going back about 8 years ago.

I'm glad they're using "Big Time" as the Wrestlemania theme because it's not some crappy nu-metal or rap metal tune like they've been using for the last five or six years. "BLARRRRRRRRRRGH! LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR! LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR! LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! ARRGGGGGGGGGGGGH!" (Add in crappy distorted guitars to suit taste).

Crap, triple post. Sorry guys. "Yeah, and it rocked, IIRC."

Oh great, the "peace mom." I'd like to punch that bitch's teeth down her throat.

When was Tony Schiavone on? I never saw that show.

Quit throwing around the hyperbole. This wasn't "the worst RAW in a long time." You probably said that last week. There was actually some pretty good wrestling on this week's show. Nothing earth shattering, but most RAWs after PPVs tend to be this way. The ending was obvious if you paid attention. I don't know why the announcers acted all confused...Lita accidentally hit Edge, so Cena got DQed. Not that much of a brain scratcher.

I remember "The Machine" match on Thunder. I thought he had a cool (if slightly generic) look, and thought it was weird they'd job a new guy, seemingly a monster heel, in his first match. My guess is they wanted to protect Hale and just gave him the match to get some experience working on TV, I guess.

'93 and '94 were ok. 1995 was my least favorite year ever (both WCW and WWF). 1996, things started to get good again, especially after Wrestlemania 12 in WWF, and then you had the nWo start up in the summer on Nitro.

SpikeTV Cancels TNA Monday Night Special In February
Dobbs 3K replied to Enigma's topic in TNA Wrestling
TNA should've just went out and signed a "big name" like Buff Bagwell or Lex Luger to a small one year contract and said "Ok, Spike, we signed one more big name. Give us our Monday night special now!" I just don't know if I believe this excuse. I mean, what is to gauge who is a "big marquee name" and who isn't? -
Awesome news for Finlay. I was at work the other day talking with one of my friends who watches wrestling only casually... and he brought up Finlay fucking up Matt Hardy and Funaki the past two nights. He loves the guy and wants to see him fuck more shit up. I think Finlay is gonna get over well guys. Yeah, it's weird. I have a friend who is more of a casual wrestling fan nowadays, though he was hardcore into it during the "Monday Night Wars". He mentioned seeing Fit Finlay's debut and said "yeah, he's better than he used to be." I asked "you mean he's in better shape?" "No, he's more violent!" Seems like WWE might have a popular midcarder on their hands.

I never understood Jose Lethario being brought in to manage HBK. Frankly, most WWF fans at the time had no idea who he was (my friends and I had never heard of him), so there wasn't any name value with him. I understood having him appear in Shawn Michaels' training videos, since obviously he was gearing up for the big match against Bret Hart. But having him come in and manage HBK? Didn't make any sense. You have this cool, cocky, young babyface that chicks dig, and set him up with this 60 year old Hispanic guy? He didn't have any mic skills, either. Seemed pretty silly to me. I think I feel the same about Misterio Sr...might be cool to see him training Rey Jr. for his match at Wrestlemania, but I hope they don't make him a recurring character.

Um, what?
