When they had the chance, I wish they would've brought him back as a MONSTER heel, like they should have. They've done this "happy, go lucky giant" thing for too long with Big Show. They should've brought him back as an angry pissed off giant who just destroys everything in his path. Heck, have him feud with Cena, injure him, and take the title. Then have Cena come back and finally be the guy who beats the monster. Would've been more effective than what they're doing now.

A family that used to live around here adopted 20 kids, and had two of their own. And no, I'm not kidding.

It sounds like either the study was done with the intent to prove that "religion is evil" or that the news writer wrote the story to make it sound like "religion is evil." Someone is biased in this one.

It seems like the alledged "specials on (insert broadcast network)" are talked about every time WWE strikes up a new TV deal, but they never come about (other than a few "best of" shows on UPN). In other words, I really wouldn't hold your breath for a return of Saturday Night's Main Event, folks.

I like the new graphics, and it's nice that they changed the set, even slightly. I've also noticed that the picture quality on USA seems to be better on Spike, but that's about it. Now if WWE would just start putting out a more cohesive product on RAW, it would be a winner.

Didn't Rage in the Cage have only 1 vs 1 matches though? That's why I remember thinking that game was kind of lame at the time. WWF RAW was definitely king of the 16 bit era grapplers (discounting imports like SFPWXP, etc). Saturday Night Slam Masters was pretty fun too, though it was basically Street Fighter inside a wrestling ring. Great arcade game.

Frankly, I'm surprised WWE hasn't released him by now. Not because Tajiri sucks (he doesn't), but because WWE hasn't been able to come up with anything for him to do consistently.

Well, if that's the case, maybe they'll make like, Candice Michelle and Torrie Wilson the new announcers...

In reference to Miss Sarajevo, they did that song at the Milwaukee show, and Bono absolutely nailed Pavarotti's vocal parts in that song. It was pretty awesome. My favorite U2 album is Achtung Baby...that was actually one of the very first CDs I bought. Joshua Tree is of course great, though I think I like Rattle & Hum a little better. Pop and ATYCLB didn't do a lot for me, but I think HTDAAB is very very good...easily their best album since Achtung Baby (although Zooropa is very strong as well...so many gems that should've gotten more play than they did on that album). As far as Bono getting mainstream publicity, I really don't think he's doing all his political work for personal pub...I think he really is trying to help people. If the media covers it, so be it. I think he comes off as someone who cares very deeply about helping the poor and less fortunate, though.

U2 is amazing live. I saw them last Sunday in Milwaukee, and I doubt I'll ever see a better show, ever. No kidding, they were that good.

My guess is they've invested too much into both "brands" to suddenly end it at a PPV like that. I'm pretty sure the final brawl last night was done to simply set up a "RAW vs Smackdown" Survivor Series tag match. Nothing more, nothing less.

After reading through all those old quotes on WCW, this thought came to me: How come no one just, like, killed Bischoff or Russo or something? And yes, I'm being at least halfway serious.

I don't remember the exact details. I think he was supposed to be an NBA player (Charles Barkley or something). It didn't sound that bad, honestly, because he wasn't done up like the classic tar faced and big lipped blackface character, but it was pretty bad judgement since this is a pretty "pro diversity" college.

I never joined a frat in college, and I'm glad I didn't. Most of the frats where I went to college have been involved in various scandals (mainly getting busted repeatedly for out of control drinking parties, serving alcohol to minors, etc). One frat (I think it was the TKEs) actually had a white member appear in blackface during a sketch at a variety show. Also, a guy from one frat got drunk and then fell off a roof of a rival frat house (he was trying to remove their letters). He ended up in a coma. Yeah, sounds like a real fun time... If you find a good frat that isn't just about partying, date raping naive freshman girls, and ass raping each other, that's fine if you honestly want to join them and aren't doing it out of peer pressure. But personally, I found there were plenty of other ways to make friends, and other groups to belong to where I actually learned things (like being a part of our campus RHA, etc).

It's true, just look what they've done recently to guys like the Dudleys and Justin Credible. Warrior was a crappy worker, and probably not the best guy to know, but I give him props for calling WWE on its crap.

Brewers win again tonight, beating the Reds 6-2. They only need to win 2 of their last 5 games to ensure a non-losing season (an even .500) for the first time since 1992. This is also the first time the Brewers have been above .500 this season since May 27th. Ironically, like someone pointed out earlier, the Brew Crew would be on top of the NL West if they were playing in that division.

Just got back from the Brewers game and had a blast. They beat the Reds, and it was a great game. Hooray for being at .500 again!

Tables matches are so 1998. The idea of winning a match by smashing an opponent through a piece of furniture seems so...archaic. It's more appropriate for backyard wrestling than WWE. I'd rather see someone win by just beating the crap out of their opponent with their fists.

Oh, that's not what I meant at all. I understand that the Cards already clinched and it's late in the season, etc. I meant based on the overall progress the Brewers have made, and the fact that their young guys will be more experienced next year, etc. Plus, their pitching staff should be very good (Sheet, Davis, Capuano will all be back. Ohka probably as well, and they're looking at options for another pitcher...).

I'm just happy the Brewers beat the Cards again last night, although they did their best to try and lose in the ninth inning. Any time you can take a pitcher like Mulder out of the game in the second inning, that's a positive. Now, the Brewers are back at .500 once again, and go for the sweep against the Cards today. They're going to be a legit playoff threat next year. Believe it.

I'm assuming, so yes. Dave can actually be a rather biting writer when he wants to be.

Yeah...there aren't many KB Toys around here either anymore. There used to be one in a mall about 20 minutes from here, but they moved out about five years ago (I think their rent got really high and they just weren't pulling in enough cash). There is at least one about forty minutes from here that I know of, but it's one of the crappier "outlet" type KB Toys where it's lots of older toys really cheap.

I thought that the thing with Ventura got worked out with WWE? Sigh...this is one of those stupid questions that never gets definitively answered.
