Cubs lose! Cubs lose! Brady Clark had four hits tonight. Jeff Cirillo gets the game winning base hit in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs. Brewers take the series against the Cubs and go for the sweep tomorrow.

I usually flip off the TV if I'm pissed. No controller throwing though. If I'm doing really bad I usually just turn off the system and go do something else.

Anyone else catch the Brewers/Cubs game last night? It was a pretty good game. Of course, I was happy the Brewers won, with Carlos Lee getting two RBIs and Jenkins hitting a three run homer. Nomar had a home run, which should turn some heads I guess. The Brewers are still pretty much out of the wild card race officially after getting swept by the Astros over the weekend, but maybe they can still make .500 this year.

Yay...Rock will probably be sitting in the front row for the first couple matches, get in the ring and cut a half hearted promo about how it's great to be "at Wrestlemania 22...the most electrifying event in sports entertainment history...in front of the millions (and millions) of the Rock's fans...blah blah blah". Then he'll leave the building and go to a real party with real stars.

I'm sure Vince's "major announcement" is that the title is being held up. That's it.

I agree with Street Fighter II...the endless "special" versions got old pretty quick. The Alpha series was good though. Mega Man is one I've thought of for a long time. I mean, come on...they're all pretty much the same game... I'd say Mortal Kombat, but I've never really been a huge fan of that game. It's just completely fake looking. The whole fad in the mid '90s of those motion capture graphics really irked me, I guess.

Fall Brawl '98 was the only PPV I've chipped in money to order (and with four or five other guys, it was relatively cheap). As someone else alluded to, that PPV sucked, even though there was no reason for it not to be a stellar show, given who WCW had available at the time. Wrestling companies (or WWE now at least) need to realize they need to give people their money's worth if they want repeat business. Right now we only have basic cable (first 80 or so channels), and our company only enables PPV ordering if you have a digital (more expensive) package, so right now it's a moot point...I couldn't order a PPV even if I wanted to.

I was over at a friend's last Sunday and saw a commercial for the new "GI Joe: Sigma 6" cartoon. It looked cool, but I didn't get a chance to see it. Anyone have any thoughts on this one yet?

While wishing injury on the guy might be a little harsh, I really don't want to see him break the record either.

Yeah...I didn't think that overall that particular website was really that great...it feels like a work in progress or something. The font they picked for Steiner's name is terrible, and the margins are off on some of the website areas.

I have trouble picturing the "Dog Faced Gremlin" giving someone a tour of a new home, but hey, if he's making a good living, more power to him. As far as the mis-spelling of his name...few realtors actually set up their own sites. There are tons of companies out there that help the thousands of realtors in the US get their names and listings online.

I kind of wish I had a PS2 just for this game, but at the same time, the lack of American wrestlers kind of turns me off. Yeah, I know you can make them, but that's a lot of extra work just to have guys I recognize in the game... I think I'll stick with my Xbox and playing Fire Pro D on my Dreamcast for now.

I guess I've hated the Dudleyz ever since 2001 or so...it's not that they're bad workers...they just got SO stale. If I hear "D-VON! GET THE TABLES!" ever again, I think I'll puke. The whole idea of putting someone through a table seems so pointless and 1997.

Uh...Dean Malenko appears pretty regularly on WWE programming, since he's a road agent and all. He's been seen in numerous "pull apart brawls" and things like that. Same with Arn Anderson and Fit Finlay.

Well, not knowing what the new gimmick is, I would call them "The D Brothers - Devon and Double B" or something like that. Either that, or go with a "realistic" gimmick where they come out and use their real names and talk about how they're sick of acting the same way after the last eight years, and have them be asshole heels.

What would the point of having a New Four Horsemen be if all four guys are already main eventers? The whole thing with Evolution is it helped elevate Batista and Randy Orton. Is Kurt Angle supposed to play a lackey to HHH or something?
