    What's going on with Tajiri?

In reference to '98, yeah, that was one of the good things when Russo was writing for WWF...everyone had some kind of motivation or storyline no matter what. Now look at the WWE roster, and how many guys seem to have no real purpose, other than the fact that they're a wrestler in the WWE?

    What's going on with Tajiri?

It's just another case of WWE not bothering to do anything with a guy who's a perfectly fine worker and has an interesting character. They just don't bother doing anything with most of their midcarders anymore.

    Frankie Kazarian to leave WWE?

I haven't seen him at all, since I never catch Velocity.

America! I've had enough of your shit.

Because North Korea is such a great, free country. I'm sure they could teach us a thing or two about real democracy, just as soon as their people have to stop collecting grass and eating wild rabbits because their dictator is blowing all their money on making nukes. I don't think TV is prevalent in North Korea at all. Also, in the "DPRK" the only radios you're allowed to own are ones that only tune to government approved broadcast stations.
  5. They should just kill her if she's that ungrateful. Take the bitch in a squad car and dump her back in the river. Stupid cunt.

    Velocity Report *spoilers*

When did Nunzio win the Cruiserweight Title? I totally missed that.

Sid and released WWE talent heading in?

I used to be somewhat of a Sid mark. I think he was actually pretty decent during his WWF Title run, but that's just me. I was under the impression Sid couldn't even wrestle anymore due to his injuries. Has he been working any shows recently?

    Favourite

A couple more that spring to my mind: It might've been mentioned already, but the RAW where HBK and Austin won the tag titles from Bulldog and Owen was extremely good. Probably one of the best tag matches in the WWE/WWF from the past ten years. Another one of my favorites was back around '94 or so when they had that battle royal after Shawn Michaels was stripped of the title "for failing to defend the belt in a timely manner". I think in actuality they were worried he was going to jump to WCW. It was a VERY well booked battle royal, and ended up with Razor Ramon and Rick Martel being the finalists. They wrestled each other on the following episode, with Razor of course winning the belt. I can't remember for sure, but I think this was the same battle royal where Giant Gonzalez was eliminated right away, because Randy Savage showed some brains for once, and nailed him with a double axehandle as he was making his entrance...then Savage got everyone else to help him throw the Giant over the top rope. I wish all battle royals on TV could be as meaningful as that. What sticks out in my mind is that it was a LONG battle royal, and it was well paced. It wasn't like the ones they do on TV now where almost everyone is eliminated right away, and then ends up with two or three obvious "finalists", before someone totally predictable wins.

    More Hassan News

Personally, I never found Hassan to be that bad. Sure, he was no Chris Benoit, but I think he was definitely better than, say, Snitsky or Viscera. Sure, that's not saying a lot, but I think people on this board expect to much out of wrestlers sometimes. Not everyone has to fly around the ring like Rey Misterio or be as stiff as Bob Holly. I still think my idea would work if he went to TNA. I don't think he could stay with a "whiner" gimmick for very long, as someone else mentioned, but it would be a great way to debut him, and a sure-fire way for TNA to get attention. I also think he'd be fine on the mic...his promos on RAW and Smackdown have been fine...in fact, if he cut a Mohammed Hassan style promo (minus the anti-USA bent), but channeled it towards Vince and the WWE, it would work very well.

    Oddest Story you'll read today

Well, at least the burglar died.
  11. Bischoff did do some good things (the nWo, of course...and introducing Nitro was huge). But the main problem was that he let the main event guys like Hogan and Nash have too much creative control, resulting in them not putting over any new guys. Other than Goldberg, who got over because of his look, and because they had 100 guys job to him, they didn't really ever create any new faces until it was too late and they got desparate post '99. The other main problem with Bischoff was that he threw around money like it was going out of style. As noted above, he spent exorbitant amounts of cash on stupid crap that didn't make for a better wrestling product. I think Vince Russo needs to have a hefty amount of blame placed on his shoulders, though. They took Bischoff out of the control picture, and gave the ball to Russo. At that point, WCW could have still been put on the right course, but Russo's idiotic and masturbatory booking completely killed the credibility of the promotion for good.

    Smackdown Non-Spoliers

WWE really needs to stop bringing in some '80s-early '90s gimmick guy in for every TV show. Yeah, it was cool with Marty Jannetty. Heck, even Jake Roberts showing up had a point (since Orton was feuding with the Undertaker at the time). But it's starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel when you're using guys like Kamala and Tatanka. Who's next? King Kong Bundy? Max Moon? The Killer Bees?

    More Hassan News

If he quits WWE or ends up getting fired, imagine the goldmine TNA could have if they signed the guy. He could come in as Mark Magnus (or whatever, it doesn't really matter), and talk about how WWE forced him to play a character everyone hated so they could make money off terrorism, just like they did with Sgt. Slaughter during the Persian Gulf War. He could then say that since WWE didn't have the balls to stand behind their own creation, he came to TNA to prove he could be a champion by being himself, and not being Vince McMahon's puppet. It could be a huge angle for TNA. Like it or not, the guy was practically a main eventer in WWE, and his presence would give TNA a huge boost. Plus, it would make WWE look like a bunch of asses, which is what they want anyway.

One of my favorites going way back was the one where 123 Kid and some jobber (I think maybe PJ Walker, but I'm not sure) almost beat the Quebecers for the tag titles. Another favorite was the one where TAKA almost beats HHH for the WWF Championship, the one where Funaki and the APA are at ringside helping him. The one where Y2J debuts in 1999 was also a great show.

I'm wearing my Bulls #91 Dennis Rodman jersey

I have a really cool Brewers gray away jersey that I got for Christmas last year that I wear to basically every game I go to. I also have a Reggie White Packers home jersey. Can't really wear that one anymore.

Smackdown actually looks halfway decent this week.

What do you do for a living?

I work on straight commision (was on a "draw" for my first nine months). I am doing ok, but I'm in a very small market, selling a local AM and two FMs. I've only been in the biz for a little over a year now, so I still have a ways to go 'til I'm making decent money. I guess I do like it (more freedom than a typical job, no weekends, etc). However, it is quite challening, and I'm not sure it's something I want to do for a career. All of the cold calling and dealing with objections can get kind of old, etc. I am an account executive for the Cincy Enquirer (ie selling ad space) and am on pace to make about 70,000 this year, which is pretty good for a college student. Do you have a very low base salary or something, most people I know in ad sales make very good money. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Most times if you are selling ads you are working off a very low base salary and then making it up in commission. However if you suck at selling, you make no money. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

    Unforgiven Poster Revealed

Boy, I'm sure glad the Draft Lottery really shook up RAW so we could get fresh match ups that we've never seen before. All kidding aside, I wouldn't be surprised if Angle is Cena's next big feud. At least they'll be actually using Angle in the main event instead of just having him feud with Eugene.
  19. I think I would pick World Class Championship Wrestling, circa 1985. I think if things had been done differently, they could have survived into at least the mid '90s, if not even 'til today. It would be nice to book things differently and avoid the problems with the Von Erichs, etc.

    WWF/E Tidbits from the past

Personally I can't see how the WWF would've ever given Razor the "ball" to run with, seeing how his drug and attitude problems were well known. Even if he had moved up to the main event, I don't think Vince ever would've put the belt on him.

So what do you suggest doing? Just sitting back and hoping none of the terrorists attack again, because we might inconvenience too many people?

    This Week in Baseball

In case no one noticed, the Brewers beat the Phillies in Philadelphia last night to put them at .500...this is the latest in a season the Brewers have been at .500 since 1998. These aren't your older brother's Milwaukee Brewers, folks. Not saying they're going to catch the Cardinals or even make a serious contention for the Wildcard, but maybe people will finally start paying them a little attention since they actually have a good team this year.

    Another 9/11 Conspiracy Theory

Which is more dumb: a) Checking people who look like a bomber. b) Checking people who look nothing like a bomber. or, because I'm feeling generous: c) Checking no one because someone might be offended, or feel that their "personal liberties are being violated" (which means they feel inconvenienced).

    Antonio or Romeo?

How do you tell the difference? They've been on RAW, what? Twice now since debuting about three months ago? They're probably just going to get fired soon anyway.

    Another 9/11 Conspiracy Theory

So what would you suggest? Doing nothing and hoping that none of them attack a subway, just like they did in London, even though the government apparently has info that terrorists are planning to do just that? Groups like the ACLU are the most dangerous organizations in America. They would be fine if New York City gets turned into a big crater, as long as no one's rights are infringed upon, and no one gets offended in the process...
