Man, I remember seeing Pearce wrestle on an indy show in Whitewater about ten years ago, and being bored of him. I saw a guy with a good look who was OK on the mic, but was absolutely boring in the ring. I remember being mad because his shirt mentioned powerbombing people, and I think the most exciting move he did in that match was maybe a bodyslam or vertical suplex. Oh well, that was about ten years ago.

Brutus Beefcake knocks up super model?
Dobbs 3K replied to BruteSquad_BRODY's topic in General Wrestling
I laughed when I heard Hogan talking about "Nowadays you have to jump from the ceiling of the arena." Yeah, OK. -
Thunder looked like crap. I saw one match where I think his finisher was supposed to be a big splash, but it looked like he drove his knees right into the guy's stomach. I can imagine a lot of guys not wanting to work with him. Also, what was the deal with the bag and chain he was bringing to the ring?

they would never of worked as a heel/face
Dobbs 3K replied to chrislatimer's topic in General Wrestling
I think that would have worked if they had stuck with it for more than two weeks. The music they gave him was bad ass. Wish I had an mp3 of it. Also, I think a heel Warrior could have worked at some point, playing a bit off his real life persona as others have mentioned. He could also brag that no one can beat him, etc. Just imagine him fighting someone like John Cena, and no selling all Cena's moves, then beating him with a flying tackle and big splash. Big time heat. -
Yeah, but we've all run into those seemingly smart average people who have bought into at least some of their crap. That's the frustrating part.

I'm having trouble finding exactly where Bush said the Mandela quote...but of course the funny thing is that Nelson Mandela is quite alive. Edit: He said it at a White House press conference in December 2007. I think Bush was trying to somehow belittle Mandela because he had been an outspoken opponent of the US war in Iraq. Either way, it still doesn't make any sense.

"Rarely is the question asked 'Is our children learning?" "If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator." "I couldn't imagine somebody like Osama bin Laden understanding the joy of Hanukkah." "We are fully committed to working with both sides to bring the level of terror down to an acceptable level for both." "When I take action, I'm not going to fire a $2 million missile at a $10 empty tent and hit a camel in the BUTT. It's going to be decisive." "I know what I believe. I will continue to articulate what I believe and what I believe - I believe what I believe is right." "The truth of that matter is, if you listen carefully, Saddam would still be in power if he were the president of the United States, and the world would be a lot better off." "I hope you leave here and walk out and say, 'What did he say?'" "I heard somebody say, 'Where's (Nelson) Mandela?' Well, Mandela's dead. Because Saddam killed all the Mandelas." "I want to thank the astronauts who are with us, the courageous spacial entrepreneurs who set such a wonderful example for the young of our country." "You know, when I campaigned here in 2000, I said, I want to be a war President. No President wants to be a war President, but I am one." "I would say the best moment of all was when I caught a 7.5 pound largemouth bass in my lake." I got some of these from: http://politicalhumor.about.com/library/

These are the same idiots who go to the veteran funerals, right?

You'd think you guys would get a big discount, since so much of it is coming out of your land and all. "Drill baby, drill."
-
Well, yeah, that would be his usual routine...flipping the bird, stunning people, beer baths, yadda yadda. Can't wait for the "WHAT?" chants either. Yeah, I would mark out if some heels just kicked the crap out of him someday.
-
I don't see what will be so exciting if Steve Austin shows up to ref at this point. He'll just do his usual routine, pick up his paycheck, and leave.
-
Wow, that sucks. Hope he is all right.

I would agree. As prominently as he's been featured on RAW along with Beth Phoenix, I think they intend to keep him in that role for a while.

I was always pretty neutral on Tito. As a kid, I kind of liked him and even then knew he was a good wrestler, but even as a young mark knew he'd never be champion or anything. It's funny you mention Martel...from the moment I saw him as a kid in the WWF, I really liked him...I actually didn't see him until after Strike Force had broken up, but for some reason I thought he was entertaining. I think I liked how he would do jumping jacks and stuff in the ring, and was super arrogant. I even remember play wrestling with my friends and being Rick Martel, when others would be Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan, go figure. I even marked out when he had a comeback run in WCW, and won the TV Title. Too bad he got injured soon after and was forced into retirement.
-
Yeah...unless they just have him win it back tomorrow and pretend like he still has the streak going or something.
-
Well, just because someone is bad in the ring, doesn't mean they can't book...though more often than not, that doesn't seem to be the case.

I too never got Greg Valentine. My first memories of him are of his feud with Ronnie Garvin in WWF, and I thought Valentine looked like a joke. I couldn't understand why Jimmy Hart was even bothering to manage him. I also thought Terry Taylor was really boring when I first saw him, as the Red Rooster, which even as a kid I thought was dumb (probably because it was). Oh yeah...when I first started seeing a little bit of WCW, I thought Lex Luger sucked. Not so much that he was a bad worker...I just saw this guy who looked like a bodybuilder, but seemed like he couldn't hang with Sting, and was destined to lose the strap. Of course, shortly after, he did, and then went to be part of Vince's WBF project.

Good.

http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/entertain...a-campaign.html I can't believe half the comments on there, in reference to Barbara West. A lot of people actually saying she "had the balls to take it to Biden," and "ask the tough questions." I guess if you just listen to Hannity and Limbaugh all day, you would think so.

Im tired of doing all the work for you people now, so I will say that you should do a google search for seized guns and Hurricane Katrina. You will find that the police seized hundreds of guns from law abiding citizens during the chaos that ensued and are just now being FORCED to return them 3 years after the fact. http://www.wwltv.com/topstories/stories/ww...a.f1ca8e16.html "As the city of New Orleans descended into chaos in the days following Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans police officers seized hundreds of guns-- from alleyways, abandoned houses and from people seeking to board rescue vehicles. " FUCKING NAZIS Lets have the police violate two Amendments instead of just one...its Great! Dammit, why are you still posting here, really?

"Is that a real question?" That's great. What a stupid bitch.
