Sting, I am assuming, since he had that run in TNA a couple years ago. I don't think his heart would be in it though. I know it sounds weird, but Michael Hayes, maybe. He had that short run with the Hardys about five years ago and actually looked like he was in really great shape. I doubt anyone is clamoring for him to come back, but as a Freebird mark, I would enjoy it, even just for one match or appearance.

Help careers skyrocket? The Four Horsemen would probably be the best example. Of course, it helped Ric Flair, who was already over. But look what it did for guys like the Andersons, Luger, Windham, and Sid Vicious. As far as jinxing careers, I'd almost have to say DX. HBK was already a known commodity, and while it definitely helped HHH, look what happened to X-Pac, Billy Gunn, and Road Dogg in the following years. Also, Chyna...but she deserved to not be in wrestling at this point anyway. -

This topic is almost too wide open...but I guess I'd have to go with Bret Hart. -
Who deserves to be a World Champion but never has

Discounting his ECW World Title reign, I would say Mike Awesome. The guy has a great look, is talented, and can easily get over with any crowd. He was wasted in WCW though, and crappily booked in WWF for stupid reasons. Maybe his performance at ECW One Night Stand will make WWE take another look at him. -
I have no political party. I am socially conservative. I am against abortion unless the mother's life is in danger. I believe life does begin at conception. I am against gay marriage, but I feel that civil unions might be OK, as it would be a tolerable solution. I am pro-capitalism, and am against widespread social welfare programs. As you can tell, I'm probably not wild about the Democrats. The fact though is that I voted for John Kerry in the last election. I hate President Bush's economic and ecological policies. I hate how he caters to big corporations. The Republican Party, as a rule, follows him lock and step on these issues. I also feel very strongly that illegal immigration must be stopped. It's not fair to legal immigrants; and while many people are sneaking into this country simply to work, there are also criminals and potential terrorists crossing our borders as well. If we have really "learned the lessons of September 11th", we need to take steps to close these gaping holes in our national security. George W. Bush has basically refused to take any meaningful action on this issue. Certainly the Democrats won't be forcing the issue, though. I feel that the Democrats making Howard Dean the DNC chairman was a huge mistake. It is as if they learned nothing from the last election cycle. He is simply too far left-leaning to appeal to most Americans. I was offended when he said the Republican Party is the party of "Christian white guys." As a "Christian white guy", it doesn't exactly make me want to vote Democrat again. Did he forget that most Americans are "Christian white guys", or "Christian white women?" Neither party seems to really be in touch with mainstream middle class America anymore, if they ever truly were. They don't understand the real issues that face people anymore, and it's entirely sickening. To me, it makes both parties very unpalatable. Perhaps it's time for a third party that will uphold real mainstream values while taking actual steps and positions that would help mainstream, middle class America, rather than ignoring us and catering to the favors of extremists and corporate interests.

Does anyone really think the death penalty shouldn't be an option for someone like this? Does anyone really think someone like this can be rehabilitated? At the very least, this is evidence that child molestors should be imprisoned for life without parole, and probably executed as well as far as I'm concerned.

I enjoyed Smackdown this week...I thought JBL vs UT was really good, personally, other than the finish with Orton using the RKO...seemed like it could've been done a little more convincingly.

I've never heard of this? Who put it out and where can I get one?

Yes, I understand that Batista was bad. But all they ended up doing was replacing one evil for another.

Thank you for both of those matches!

I wonder if all the people you see wearing Che shirts actually understand that he was a communist revolutionary who helped establish a brutal dictatorship in Cuba?

WWE needs to be punished for putting crap on TV like the diva search, and the best way to do that is to boo the hell out of it. Maybe it's not the girls' fault, like someone said, but the only way to let WWE know how much we hate it is to let them know as much as possible. Frankly, I'd like to hear some creative chants like "this sh!t sucks!" or "kill the sluts!" That might get things rolling.

Wow...sounds like RVD doesn't care too much about staying in good wtih McMahon at this point. As far as people complaining about the WWE guys being involved in the show...I agree to an extent, but I also think Heyman realizes that the event shouldn't happen "in a vacuum." Would it make sense if just the former ECW guys were aware of, and appearing on, the show? Not really.

Is Rock even under WWE contract anymore at this point? I assume he is because they still plug his movies and appearances (like the "Be Cool" DVD coming out), but I remember a few months ago it was reported his contract ran out without WWE even attempting to renew it (!). Anyone know what's really up?

Virtually all surround sound receivers currently on the market come with both Dolby Digital and DTS standard, so extra money shouldn't be an issue. When I have a choice playing a DVD movie, in the menu options, I always select DTS. You can usually notice, if you compare, that DTS seems louder and fuller. DTS uses less compression than Dolby Digital, so that is the benefit. Dolby Digital still sounds very good though.

Hmmm...looks like I'll be watching Smackdown this week. Looks like a good lineup. Thanks again.

Surprised no one has posted them yet. I was hoping someone could post a non-spoiler match listing. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I remember SNES games could be pretty damn expensive. I think I paid close to $80 for WWF RAW when it first came out...it was a fun game though, and I played it a lot, but could you imagine paying that much for ANY game now? The one thing I didn't like about the SNES, and this has been a problem with Nintendo's last several systems, is that I don't think they really quite took it to it's full potential before they ended it by introducing the next generation system. I mean, Super Mario World was just incredible...I wanted a real sequel to it...that Yoshi game didn't even come close to being as fun. I don't think they did an SNES sequel to Zelda, either. Other games I liked: Super Mario All-Stars, NBA Jam TE, Killer Instinct, Super Metroid.

I definitely think a switch of announcers is needed, and would keep things fresh. I agree that switching Tazz to RAW and Lawler to Smackdown would probably be the most logical. Maybe if they can't work something out with the draft, maybe they could run some kind of angle with Bischoff and Tazz at the ECW PPV this Sunday? Likely wouldn't happen, but who knows? Some of you brought up bringing in someone like Mike Tenay or Joey Styles...let's face it, though...none of the four guys they have now are going anywhere.

Go Brewers...they beat the Yanks tonight and take the series, going for the sweep tomorrow, and I will be there to boo Gary Sheffield in person.

Pretty close to this, IIRC: http://www.obsessedwithwrestling.com/pictu...bradshaw/04.jpg

An upconverting DVD player can actually make DVDs look a little sharper and clearer. I have a Zenith model that does a very good job with my Mitsubishi HD-ready set.

Well, great game last night, as the Brewers narrowly beat the Yankees. Doug Davis held the Yanks to three runs, and Derrick Turnbow gets the save. Junior Spivey had the game winning solo homer. Hopefully they can keep it up and take the series from the slumping Yanks.

I used to actually have this one for PC. I think I found it at Shopko for like 10 dollars and bought it. Like everyone else said, the controls were hard. It was REALLY tough to do any moves other than basic punches and kicks, IIRC. I think I maybe got off a hurricane kick or fireball one time.

I'm sure it's somebody within the WWE's inner circle, like Gerald Brisco or Shane McMahon, somebody like that. Probably nothing to get too excited about. And on that note...can we PLEASE just drop the whole Montreal thing??? It's been eight years now. The Monday Night Wars are over. Let's quit living in the past and move on now, m'kay?
