Actually, yeah, I am fairly optimistic about the Brewers. I think they've been revitalized in the last week. Basically I see it as that they have to take one of the two games against the Phillies in Philadelphia. If they do that, they will go back to Milwaukee, and we could potentially see CC pitch twice if the series goes five games. Also, the fact that Braun and Fielder have been hitting should help. I'm not predicting that the Brewers are going to win the NL Championship, but I don't think the Phillies are going to have an easy time against them, either.

I was born the year after. I was actually 2 years old at the time. Obviously, I don't remember anything about that season.

It's pretty well known that Taylor isn't exactly happy that his legacy in wrestling was for a stupid gimmick he did for a couple years.
-
Wow, that is stupid. I guess this can fuel the annual complaints about how "Baseball doesn't do enough to accommodate families and kids."

Hey now, don't forget my good friend, Invader. So, I was gone all afternoon, pretty much celebrating and enjoying this amazing turn of events. This is something I've been looking forward to ever since my dad took me to my first Brewers game over 20 years ago. I guess I sure am glad I bothered to buy post season tickets now. What a great day.

Ugh...The constant powerbomb reversal spot was definitely a pet peeve of mine.

Whoa! I'm surprised he didn't crush his throat or cave his chest in on that move.

Yes, yes it was indeed.

WALK OFF GRAND SLAM! What a night!

This is true. They very strictly control their product, and how it is sold. Don't bother shopping around for a good price on their stuff either...it's priced the same at basically every single retailer. Only way to get them cheaper is buy used, on the internet, or at one of their own retail stores (they sometimes sell "factory renewed" product which are usually only 10-20% off). Bose basically operates unlike any other audio company...they advertise way more (TV, radio, newsapers), and have created this aura of being a high demand, high value product. If you like their products, great, but you'll pay more for it than for other comparable stuff from lesser known companies. They also don't publish any specs on their speakers...to a point, I get why (they claim they want you to buy it for the sound as you hear it, and not a set of numbers on paper), but if you are trying to find out some specific info on one of their systems, it's pretty irritating.

Let's Talk About...The Decline of The WWF Tag Team Division
Dobbs 3K replied to King Kamala's topic in General Wrestling
I do agree that tag teams seem to get used as jobbers way too often. If the champs face one guy in a handicap match, they should go over, not have trouble beating the guy and end up jobbing. It's stupid. Also, Bulldog/Owen was one of my favorite tag teams of all time. Their match against HBK and Austin (where they lost the belts) was a classic. They were a fun team because they were always teasing a breakup, but kept winning anyway. -
I've said it before, but Hank Steinbrenner is soon going to make Yankees fans pine for the thoughtful and reasoned public leadership of his father. The guy only whines when stuff goes against the Yankees. It's not like he's calling for these rule changes because he thinks they'd be what's right for baseball, or anything like that.

The Wave Radio is nice, but pretty pricey compared to other options (and this is coming from someone who worked at a Bose store for a couple years). The reception on the radio won't be better or worse than any other decent AM/FM radio either. If you already have an antenna, have you tried putting it in a window, or even outside? That's the only real way to overcome reception issues. Also, is this in a house or apartment? If it's in an apartment building, you're going to get tons of RF interference.

The Brewers won a game! I thought they had forgotten how.
-
It works in the movies, though!
-
That made me laugh hysterically.
-
At least they looked like they were trying to win last night, and both Fielder and Braun contributed.

I don't think anything will ever top "Beaver Cleavage" in the stupidity category. Still, a pretty dumb name.
-
And Robin Yount will be back as Brewers bench coach for at least two weeks.
-
Many Brewers fans are elated right now.
-
Yes, that is correct. It will be bitter irony if the Astros end up overtaking the Brewers in the Wild Card hunt at Miller Park, while the Brewers continue to struggle, playing a double header today in Philadelphia.

I remember a thread where people posted comments from New Yorkers like "I was hoping things would break down into anarchy and street fighting so I could go kick some Muslim ass." Anyone remember that?

I remember hearing that Manny only wanted like a two year deal from Boston. I don't know if that is true or not, though.

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

I believe that is Arn Anderson either hobbling to the back or taking a leak in the entry way. -
Definitely an impressive season for the Angels. They have to be the favorite to win the AL at this point.
