I was at the Brewers/Reds game last night and it was a pretty good showing on both sides. Cueto is indeed a great young pitcher, though I think he will get knocked around a bit if he doesn't adjust and guys start figuring him out a bit more. Had to leave in the middle of the 8th inning (we live quite a ways from Milwaukee and the wife and I had to work today), so we didn't catch Patterson's home run. I was pretty much cursing at the radio when that happened. Oh yeah...announced attendance was in the 27,000 range. Who would've thought we would have seen that kind of attendance at an early April Tuesday night Brewers game just a few years ago?

I think that would offend a lot of people's delicate sensibilities. Who cares? No one has a right to not be offended. The only people who would actually get offended (or say they were offended) would be the die hard Repbulicans, or the remaining 30% or so of Americans who actually think Bush is doing a good job. The other 70% would either agree, or at least question the statements, and it would create a national dialogue.

Yeah, they definitely have a "carny" feel to them. Definitely not what TNA should be going for in 2008.

I wish more of the Democrats would start outright calling Bush "the worst president in US history" or "one of the worst in our nation's history" to really drive home the point and get more Americans thinking about it.

My opinion is that West and Tenay would be fine if they would just shut up once in a while, and not oversell everything every single second of the broadcast. Of course, everyone knows that by now, but TNA still seems oblivious for whatever reason.

Funny that Knox got a win on TV after being gone for a while (over Stevie Richards, which is a travesty) and then this comes out.

"But what about an African American woman's right to choose?"

Try searching youtube, maybe?

Anyone know what he's referring to, as far as Ole Anderson's comments?

Ben Sheets just finished a complete game shut out against the Giants.

Let Me Tell You Bout the Birds and the Bees

I'm in my later 20's, and have been married for almost five years. Definitely no regrets. Most of our friends have gotten married in the last couple years, so that's been fine. The only annoying part is that we don't have kids, while a lot of our friends do now, and a lot of times it's hard to get together with people and do stuff when they have children. -
Went to Opening Day at Miller Park yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. In reference to Braun's defense, yes, he's still a bit shaky in LF, but I'd say less so than when he was at 3B. He'll get more comfortable as the season wears on. As for Bill Hall, I feel he's more of a natural infielder than an outfielder. If you saw some of the plays he made last year in CF, he never really looked that natural making some catches, even when he was successful. Frankly, if he keeps hitting like he has been, it doesn't matter how he plays defense.

Yeah, cutting down on smog cuts down on asthma and crap. Duh. Everyone always ignores the local effects of pollution.

Yeah, I bought a six pack of Longhammer IPA a while ago, just to try it, and it wasn't anything I'd bother getting again. I'm not a huge IPA fan, but once in a while they're good for something different.

Works for me!

Yeah, I remember renting that Royal Rumble with a friend, and during the Rumble match he kept asking me "Where are all the cool guys?"

The Cubs seem to be half assing it today for whatever reason. And I'm not just saying it because I'm a Brewers fan. I do agree with what Czech said about the Cubs charging the roof top owners for selling seats. If you're putting on a baseball game, you're producing a product, and you have a right to basically charge everyone seeing it, especially if someone else is already making money off it. As far as naming rights, they're just a reality in sports now.

UT doesn't strike me as a guy that needed a submission finisher, but it made sense when he was feuding with Big Daddy V and Mark Henry. I always thought he should have a finisher called "Six Feet Under" or something like that. "Death Trap" would be cool for his gogoplata, though...wtf kind of word is that, though? Spanish?

Goldberg lost that one retirement match in WCW and never returned, as the company went out of business not long after.

The never ending parade of lame, new characters. I can't think of a period where more awful characters were introduced in the WWF than '95 and the first half or so of '96. It seems like they were trying to compensate for a lack of talent by saddling people with "zany" gimmicks.. My number one pet peeve from that era. The WWF was full of completely awful gimmicks during that time period. The worst, and what actually made me mad in early '96, was right after Wrestlemania, when they came out with a whole slew of new, completely stupid, characters. It was like, "Yeah, we don't have Razor, Diesel, or 1-2-3 Kid anymore...but we have WHO!, and THE GOON, and FREDDIE JOE FLOYD, and TL HOPPER!" Meanwhile WCW was getting ready to start the nWo, and was featuring cruiserweights and guys they signed over from ECW. Vince just didn't have his hand on the pulse of wrestling fans at all by that point. And yes, I also barely watched during '95...just wasn't enough compelling in WWF to make me pay attention, and WCW was certainly not much better. I guess I started to get back into it around WM 12.

Well, if Rock doesn't want to come back, why did he make a comment about having one more match, possibly against Austin? I don't think he will come back, but it seems weird that he would say that if he totally hates WWE at this point.

I'm glad I didn't just see Dusty's face in HD.

Surprised no one has made the obligatory "Who did CM Punk piss off?" comment yet.
