Rock Vs. HHH or HBK Vs. Hart, which Ironman match you think is better?
Dobbs 3K replied to Lt. Al Giardello's topic in General Wrestling
I think I've only seen the Rock/HHH Iron Man match one time, but I think it held my attention more than the Shawn/Bret one, so I would have to give the later one the nod. HBK vs Bret Hart would have been so much better if they had given each man a fall during the match, instead of just having it go the full hour without either man getting a pin or submission, which just didn't seem realistic. -
That's a rematch from, what? WM2, I believe. This is in Milwaukee tonight. I should have gone. Ah well. My entertainment budget has been stretched somewhat thin, and I'm probably going to order WM with a friend and split it with him.

That Donkey Kong cartridge cover art is bad ass.

Let's Talk About..........The Natural Born Thrillers

No, it didn't hurt the Booker T, even though Russo was trying to make Booker into a blatant copy of him. I mean, he even had the same finisher. I'm pretty sure I remember seeing Romeo use Rock-esque mannerisms, and some version of the people's elbow, at least in a couple matches. -

Was Romeo the one that was sort of doing a Rock parody for a while in WCW (like half of their roster)? That probably didn't help matters. -
Hillary is definitely coming off as fairly desperate right now. Maybe Obama should come out and say "I'm in first place right now, you're in second...why don't we do what's best for America and you can be my VP running mate?" I bet that would shut her up quick.

Can someone give some insight into Larry Zbyszko's bodyguard and apparent martial arts gimmick? Was there any more background into Mr. Go or why Larry was wearing a martial arts jacket to the ring. I know the guy used a lot of kicks in his matches. Did he have a legit martial arts background of some kind? I have to admit I'm enjoying Zbyszko's antics on these shows a lot. His promo about needing to wrestle "fifteen orangutans with my arm tied behind my back to get a title shot" and then getting on his knees and begging for a match against Bockwinkle was pretty hilarious.

Uh, Triple H was Flair's best man at his wedding, from what I recall. I'm pretty sure Flair would have no problem being inducted by him, at any rate, despite what a bunch of people on the internet adamantly believe.

It seems like they're presenting Mayweather in a fairly heelish fashion. At least that is how the crowd is reacting to him. I don't know...I'm having a hard time believing this fight is going to get them that many extra PPV buys.

I don't know...I think part of the problem was that late WCW had such a glut of young but virtually unknown talent. It would have been one thing if they had slowly introduced one or two of those guys at a time, instead, they shoved them all out on TV pretty much at once. By the end of WCW they had a ton of guys on TV with virtually no name recognition, other than a few appearances on Nitro. There was only so much WWF could have done with that many guys like that. -
I used to have a stock portfolio, but sold them off to put that money towards a down payment on our house. I currently have a mutual fund that my grandparents started for me when I was about 14. It's gone to about five times its original value in about 14 years time, so I guess that's doing OK.

Oh geez, they should just execute him and be done with it.
-
Why the need for the"Kliq" comment? HHH inducting Flair wouldn't be a travesty. It's Flair's choice and HHH would be more then appropriate to do the honors. What? Don't you know? Triple H will probably bury Flair during his induction, and then give him a pedigree right afterwards. Duh.

It's about time they made this official.

I recall a telecast where Jesse Ventura asked Schiavone (I think) about Ole's whereabouts, and Tony said that Ole was working "behind the scenes" in a sort of management capacity for the Four Horsemen.

I remember seeing this match on Primetime Wrestling. Like the match in the youtube thread, there were quite a few jobbers involved. I think Berzerker didn't even enter the ring 'til roughly halfway through the match...he kept walking around the outside, pulling guys out.

Anyone else notice how in some way, Stan Hansen was something of a prototype for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, both in his style and interviews?

Everything looks different for me, too. What the heck happened?

No, because then the terrorists win?

And El Santo! Surely Vince wouldn't let a technicality like Santo never wrestling for WWE get in his way... Are you sure Santo never wrestled Sammartino or Backlund or anyone like that? I would have no way of knowing.

I mentioned a while ago that I thought it would be hilarious if my name was Kawalimus3K, if only for a while.

Palumbo is yet another random feud for Kane, though at least its something, since Kane hasn't really done anything for months. I wish Jacobs would just retire and be done with it, if this is all they're going to do with him. I actually don't have anything against Palumbo, but I somehow doubt he's going to be turned into a bigger star by getting put over by Kane.
