What does GBH stand for?

When what happens backstage/IRL ruins a match/angle for you.
Dobbs 3K replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in General Wrestling
I could probably watch Benoit's matches, I'm just not going to go out of my way in order to do so. Which I guess means I'll never watch one again since WWE doesn't show his stuff anymore. I should probably just throw away my Hard Knocks DVD. -
Interesting story.

The US Economy and Current Financial Crisis
Dobbs 3K replied to Cheech Tremendous's topic in Current Events
I think he would have gotten the country out of the Depression even without WW II. But who knows for sure? I just get sick of hearing the neo-con idea that he was a socialist who was bad for the country. Overall, his presidency was a success, and he got the country through some of its darkest times since the Civil War. -
Prince Fielder has reportedly slimmed down quite noticeably, and seems serious about keeping the weight off that he seemed to gain before last season. I guess $18 million can be pretty good motivation for staying fit.

The US Economy and Current Financial Crisis

Yeah, that damn evil socialite cripple FDR, leading us to victory in World War II and getting us out of the Great Depression. -
Supposedly Brian Roberts is close to signing a four year deal with the Orioles, according to MLBTR. If I never hear Roberts connected to a trade rumor again, it will be too soon.

Bought Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection the other day. Pretty fun. I actually didn't have a Genesis back in the day, so this was my first time to actually get to play many of these games on a real console. Just staggering the amount of games they crammed onto this disc. The graphics smoothing is pretty impressive...makes characters in Streets of Rage almost look cell shaded (if that's the right term). I wish Nintendo would do something similar to this for the Wii, but I'm sure they're making a killing off the individual downloads on the Wii store.

Yeah, the thread is called "Pictures I like", as has been mentioned repeatedly.

Are they really that happy with the basically completely stagnant ratings they've had ever since debuting on Spike?

Gagne might not make the team, but at least he's got a shot. It's reported the contract gives him an out clause to re-try free agency if he's not on the MLB roster by a certain time (I'm not sure of the exact details). The Brewers are taking their usual "Throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks", approach with the bullpen. It's worked before, so I can't fault them for doing it this way again. The price they're paying Corey Hart seems a tad high, seeing how badly he did in the second half of last year. He finished the year with a .300 OBP, which is pretty bad. I think he will rebound and have a solid year, though, as he probably had a bit of a sophomore slump last season, being that it was only his second full year in the majors. Edit: And as far as Griffey...a nostalgia trip to Seattle isn't going to do anything for the Mariners at this point. It doesn't even seem like a move Jack Zdurencik would make. Do the fans even really want him back, given how he left the team years ago?

HHHulking up.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! And now Triple H is out!

Yeah, that's the thing. I remember playing the old SNES version, and not doing this badly. I struggle to get through the first match with a win. I think I need to get Soul Calibur IV soon, actually. That's a game I can actually do decently at.

I have no tips on hitting, I absolutely suck at it. Try to get good at guessing pitches is about all I can say at this point. I also am really frustrated at how much I suck at SF II Turbo HD Remix. I think it's the PS3 controller...it's like almost too sensitive...I'm trying to use the analog stick, but it seems like half the time I end up jumping when trying to do a fireball rotation or something. The control pad is useless in this game as well.

Yep...and they replaced Trenni with Telly Hughes, who is incredibly bad from what I've seen. The Brewers organization really took it on the chin this off season between on field departures, TV/radio changes, Jack Zdurencik (sp?) leaving, etc. At least Yost is gone, I guess. As far as Uke...as much as I love the guy, he's clearly slipped a little in the past few years. I don't think making him the focal point of the radio _and_ TV broadcasts would be the best way to go at this time. I actually think Brian Anderson is fine, and Schroeder doesn't bother me as much as he seems to bug some fans.

The Brewers and WTMJ officially bringing in Cory Provus to replace the departed Jim Powell on the radio. Can any of the Cubs fans here tell me what to expect from this guy?
-
That looks like it could be from any number of games. Also, isn't it kind of pointless to have "classic" Michael Hayes and not the rest of the Freebirds? More tag teams in general would be nice.

I really like that editorial from Frank Rich. Like he noted, Obama already tried the bipartisan route. The Repubs had their chance and didn't want to play by ball...now they can get their own taste of "unilateral action."
-
Yeah, I was reading about that. What a joke. Their parents should be ashamed.
-
Yeah, I was surprised to see that leaked pic of Hayes. I think he was in the gimmick battle royale that one year, but that was it.

Let's Talk About...Dusty Rhodes' WWF stint
Dobbs 3K replied to King Kamala's topic in General Wrestling
I heard most of the stuff in his WWF gimmick, including the polka dots, were his own ideas. -
Yeah...given all the times they appeared on SNME, at least one token match would have been nice.
-
Maybe TNA can just get smart and scale back their PPVs. I don't think they have enough presence to justify doing 12 shows a year. Hell, for a long time, WWF only did four per year.

Fla. Doctor Investigated in Badly Botched Abortion
Dobbs 3K replied to milliondollarchamp's topic in Current Events
I certainly don't want to have any say in it. I would just welcome a rational and intelligent response to my point. I'll restate what I said earlier: How does something go from being a mass of tissue one moment to a living person with equal rights of any other American the next?
